Recently moved to Madison and needed to have 2 clubs re-gripped. I had heard good reviews about Celtic Golf so stopped in last Tuesday to see if they could get them done before Friday. Met John and he let me know he could have them done by the close of business. I let him know I was new to the area, and John was extremely helpful in answering questions and making suggestions about things to do in Madison. Also met Mark the teaching pro and in addition to talking a little about golf, realized we had soccer in common and shared some stories. Im very happy to have stopped by the store. They made me feel welcome to the community and I will be stopping by to see them in the future.

Im just getting started with the game after hardly playing in the past and brought in some old clubs I inherited to get advice. Im very tall (68) and needed advice on club length. John recommended I try a different driver (a used Cleveland Classic from the rack with a stiff graphite flex) and let me just take it for several days to see if I liked it. It was a great suggestion and I came back and bought it for a very reasonable price ($79). He also helped extend some clubs and enlarge the grips to get me started and Im playing much better with the adjustment. Was great place to get some advice.After another week, adding a bit more - what a great driver suggestion! Forgiving off the toe and heel. Solid feel and hitting further than ever - love it. Nice grips too.

Competitively priced with a head above the rest when it comes to knowledge and skill. I had grips done on four and definitely going back for the rest. Also some outrageous prices for used great golf clubs. Worth the 20 mile trip for me!

These guys are classy golf repair experts. I love supporting the local vibe and stepping in the shop feels like stepping into a inviting living room. They really can handle anything that the big shops can but with a personal touch with focus always on the customer. The big guys can’t offer that! Pay them a visit!

I took my broken shaft in and John replaced it over night so I could take it to my weekend golf trip. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable as well. Will definitely go back.

I came across the Celtic Golf store in Madison strictly by accident six years ago while walking on Central Avenue and was extremely pleased that I did! I entered a small but very warm and cozy place that has all of your golfing supplies and needs plus a practice green and even a small hitting area! The store has re-gripping and re-shafting services available as well as fine pre-owned club sets and individual clubs as well! The owner John Irizarry and pro Mark Kelly will welcome you warmly and eagerly assist you with any questions you may have. I have continued to support Celtic Golf and strongly encourage you to do so as well; one of the very few Mom and Pop small golf businesses left in New Jersey.

John and Mark are both honest and genuinely nice. You can’t go wrong by taking a visit to Celtic Golf. Madison is an awesome family orientated town with old-fashioned values. They picked a great spot to do business in! Mark is an excellent golf teacher. He really knows his stuff and he’s very kind and patient.It’s just an all-around good feeling when you do business with both of these guys! Highly recommend!!

Awesome little golf shop. I needed to replace the shaft and grip on one of my irons and Celtic had it fixed for me in under 24 hours. Great turn-around time, and very friendly.

Great little golf shop with excellent services right in downtown Madison. They provide services like regripping (makes the clubs better than new!), sales of new and used golf equipment, and excellent lessons and coaching from a local pro. Absolutely worth checking out and saving yourself the drive anywhere else.

When I needed my driver shaft repaired last minute John and the staff at Celtic Golf were more than accommodating. I drove 45 minutes from Staten Island and he had my driver completed within that same day. They were super friendly and informative with any questions I had regarding golf. I will most definitely be back for any golf needs.

Very happy I found John and Celtic Golf. I mis-timed ordering new, custom wedges before an annual golf trip and called John with a longshot request the day before I left. He could not have been more accommodating or friendly, doing custom work (replacing shafts, lengthening them, regripping) all the same day so I could have them in time for my trip. He even opened early in the morning the following day so I could pick them up before my flight. The work was extremely high quality and John genuinely seemed happy to do it. Needless to say, Ill be going to him and recommending him as much as possible. Amazing experience.

Very cool guy. Very helpful and customers are his priority. Thanks John for being honest and helping me out. John and Mark are great people who will help you and teach you to play golf correctly. They have very good hearts and are willing to help. I messed up many many times trying to learn but I could not get the hang of it until a few hours later. They were extremely helpful with their tips. This is not a sport for me but they were still willing to help even after all the times I messed up. John is an extremely dedicated owner and hard worker. They have many different golf products in the store, from golf balls, to gloves, to hand warmers, putting and launching clubs, (etc). They also have couch chairs in case you want to sit down for a bit. John is very responsible in getting back in touch with his clients. He can also repair your clubs for you. Take my word for it. I saw John trying to help an elderly person for over an hour for something that isnt even golf-related in the shop. A man who needed help with his email and his iPad. That is dedication to your clients. I know because I run a computer repair business myself. He will go out of the way to give you 110% customer service. John and Mark will never ignore you and will always try to help you with the best of their knowledge. Happy golfing! :)
