What a pleasant surprise. We had a house fire in 2019, that required us to take down the entire home. We had a variety of furniture which had been in the family for generations which had burn marks and water damage and a variety of beautiful pieces including our bedroom suite. We hoped that once cleaned and finished they would be useable once again. To our complete delight the furniture was refinished and brought back to life! I had the unfortunate circumstance of construction workers damaging a brand new desk with a unique velvet type finish to a walnut veneer. My insurance company recommended bringing the desk to A Quality Finish to be evaluated to see if it could be repaired to its original (new) form. Our home suffered extensive damage from a storm and several pieces of museum-quality antique furniture were severely damaged. The artistry in these pieces was extreme and historic (from Paris, circa 1910); I expected that no current business could restore them to their original beauty. I was wrong! They took great interest when we dropped off your vintage gate leg table and were even able to give us more info about it. October last year we had a house fire!!On top of the damage to the house from the fire we also had a late 1930s early 1940s Chippendale dining room set that was badly damaged due to heat smoke and water.Not having ever had a fire before nor this type of damage to furniture my wife and I did some research and asked who could handle something like this to fix it. Joe at A Quality Finish was recommended to us by our contractor.Joe came out took a look at the pieces which included a dining room table 6 chairs, China closet, demilune, and a antique roll top desk that was in another room, as well as a 100+ year old stained glass window and Joe said to us I can fix this and he went on to say you worry about the house Ill worry about the furniture those were his words.We were skeptical as to the results Joe was going to have with the furniture based on the damage that we saw.Joe and his crew came and picked the items up from the house brought them to their shop they invited us to come out to the shop to visit our furniture during processing which I did. What a Fabulous company-- from top to bottom! They were so responsive and helpful. They were happy to show us choices in finish and actually illustrate what different stains would look like on our furniture.When we received the finished product I almost Wept! My beloved family heirlooms looked better than Id ever seen them! What glorious craftsmen (and Women!) they are!!

We had a catastrophic house fire but many of our burned or smoked damaged furniture pieces were able to be retrieved. A Quality Finish did a remarkable job repairing, refinishing, re-uphostering and recaneing our mid-century modern furniture. Everything was picked up, repaired and returned in great condition. Everyone we worked was highly professional and cared deeply about the quality of the workmanship. Even after all the furniture was returned and we had things back better than before, A Quality Finish continued to show personal interest and care for our furniture. One of our children inadvertently left some warm plates on the newly refinished dining room table leaving a temperature spot. Joe, who I believe is the owner, personally returned to our house to refinish the spot, leaving it good as new. We have additional furniture in need of repair unrelated to the fire and we will send it and any valuable furniture to A Quality Finish for repair. We trust them to do an excellent job with a personal, caring touch.

A Quality Finish beautifully restored an antique settee that was my grandparents, it needed a lot of work... new upholstery, wood frame was broken, wood was scratched and had heat damage, springs had fallen through the bottom of the seat, and it was missing buttons. It looks amazing!

This amazing family owned business well exceeded our expectations!. We had a house fire that heavily damaged all our furniture with smoke and soot. It actually caused a lot of the finish to pool on the floor as a result of the heat. AQF came and took our furniture away and assured us that they would be able to bring it back to the way it was. Well, not only did they do that, but they brought it to a former glory that I dont even think existed when it was new. The care and attention they gave to each and every piece was remarkable. They treat your belongings and your home as if it was their own, and they are very proud of their work, as they should be. The craftsmanship is professional and they are courteous and careful with everything that they do. The overall result left us speechless, and we are now back in our house with many of our original pieces of furniture looking better than it ever has. They took my grandmother’s furniture which had been in my mother’s basement for 40 years where it sustained water damage and transformed it into brand new furniture. My highest recommendation. I have a breakfront, Chippendale-style secretary desk that was spotted and discolored by water damage. The team at A Quality Finish brought it back to life and made it look even better than when I purchased it many years earlier. The removed the varnish, sanded it and stained it. Then, they finished it so that it looks better than new. The delivery team was very cordial and accommodating.

It was luck that brought us to A Quality Finish and it was very good luck for us. After a tree destroyed part of our house, the insurance company had them on its list and now they are on my go-to list. They carefully removed all the antiques despite the obstacles created by the damage. They packed them extremely well and did a beautiful job of refinishing and cleaning.They held our things until the reconstruction was complete and placed them in our house with great care.They went our of their way to move some of the other furniture and help us rehang the doors. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating which was so nice in a such as stressful time. I have recommended them to my neighbors whose furniture was damaged in a move and they are pleased as well.
