Visiting daughter and discovered a nail in my tire. Although he was short staffed, he took a few minutes out of his busy schedule to help me. My tire had gone flat in his parking lot. It was quick and easy. Thank you for helping me.

I went to my car dealership for a state inspection. They failed my inspection over a light bulb and told me it will cost $756 dollars to replace it. I went to Manassas Tire and Auto and they replaced the light bulb for only $44. Going forward, I will be taking my vehicles to Manassas Tire and Auto. Their honesty saved me hundreds of dollars.

The inspection line had no one in it at all. I was in and out so quickly on a weekday. The staff is always so nice.

If I could give a 0 I would. The level of customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE! I have never been to an establishment where the manager tells me that I am NOT going to take my car to the dealer to have a service done he recommended because he could do it cheaper!!! I dont think so. Never again will I return to this unprofessional company for any type of service

Mark the manager is very nice and direct about what needs to be done with your car. Always call to schedule an appointment versus just going there. I never have to wait too long. Overall good shop. Ill continue to go.

Came to this Shell station for inspection and emissions. Was greeted promptly by a mechanic, who somewhat oddly made a point to inform me prior to inspecting that car that, if my car were to fail, we would not be able to continue driving the car. To which Im like, yep, understood, thats the point of governmental safety inspections.So we go inside where there are two mustached men, one of whom is plainly rude and seems to refuse eye contact. The man informed us within 5 minutes into the inspection that we had already failed, and that it was a bad decision to have brought the car in for inspection. After waiting for another 30 minutes, we were informed that our car failed due to brakes and to an issue with a tie rod. They offered to complete the repairs for over $600, only wait, they did not have the parts needed. I asked if I could go to another shop for the repairs, with the man warning me that I would not be able to find another repair shop to give a passing inspection.... Notice, I did not ask about seeking a second opinion, yet this man is telling me that I cannot get one.So we end up going to another mechanic, and GUESS WHAT???Our car passed inspection without issue.I do not typically write reviews, but this Shell station has inspired me to start. Not only does this experience seem to hint at potentially deceptive/dishonest business practices, but this is the first experience I can recall of a business seemingly actively upset with me for seeking to pay them for a service. I was shouted to from across the tiny station multiple times, and I witnessed the same man rudely refuse to tell another customer where to park when he was asking about the inspection line. Part of me believes that he was upset with me for wearing a mask. I dont really know. Maybe he just hates customers? Having a bad day? Got up on the wrong side of the bed? Secretly hates cars? Still bitter about how they butchered the final Star Wars trilogy? Hemorrhoids? Couldnt fit his hand inside of a Pringles can? Obama?The point is, I do not know what made this man seemingly so irritated by my wife and I having entered his business. (Is it customary to bring a gift to your mechanic? Perhaps some non-expired travel shaving kits for the Shell station? Should I have brought the parts they didnt have for the repair that was not needed? I do not know....)Zero stars. The End.

I brought my wifes car into this location for an emissions test and the guy tells me that we must have had recent work done on the car (which we didnt) so they couldnt complete the emissions and that she needed to drive the car 200 to 250 miles to reset the computer before we could get the emission test done. Today my wife took the car to a different shop and they completed the emissions testing with no problem. Either someone doesnt know what the hell they are doing or it was poor customer service.What a joke!

I have gone here for years. I have always been treated with respect and never felt like they were taking advantage of me because Im a girl. I will keep going.

Completely fixed a challenging ignition problem on an 22yo Dodge van. Were patient, helpful, informative, and found a replacement computer for a very reasonable price. Also, they only did the work that was necessary to make the car roadworthy again, and let me know of other possible issues without pushing more repairs, which I appreciated. Finally, the car has been running better than it has in years! Highly recommend.

I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. First of all, I had to come back 4 separate times because they were so busy but no one was actually doing anything. Next, they tell me my rear brakes needed to be replaced because it was metal on metal. I wasnt hearing screeching but I trusted them because what do I know about cars? They wanted to charge me $380 for it but I wanted to go to a family friend to get another price. Left thinking I got my oil changed and tires rotated though. Fast forward to a week later at the family mechanic, he told me my brakes still had 8,000 miles left on them but I NEEDED A TIRE ROTATION! Do not go to this service shop because they lie and do not complete services!

I have used this mechanic for tires and service over the past three years, but this last visit caught my attention in a negative way and as a result, Im going to be looking for a new mechanic. This visit, I brought my car in for a simple DMV inspection and I got blind-sided by an eager technician who tried to snare me into expensive additional service charges. I was able to escape from this by explaining that the car is due to be traded in on a new vehicle within the next two or three months. Also and as a 71-year-old retiree this is very important to me, none of the workers at this shop wears a viral protection mask. Virtually every one of their customers wears a mask, but they are entirely dismissive of our safety. This is wrong. Im looking for a new car service shop.

STAY AWAY!! Made the mistake of brining my car in for safety inspection and was told that I had a leaking power steering pump. Took it to my regular garage and they actually said we wont replace it. Theres nothing wrong with it!

If I could leave less than a star I would. Dropped off car for oil change and emissions. Got a call and then a quote saying the car needed front brake pads and cabin filter which they could do for $335. Problem is.....I just personally changed both of those a couple weeks ago. When I confronted them, they said it was a language barrier with the mechanic. Not buying it. Read the reviews before coming here. Who knows what you’re getting here. Did they even change the oil???? Who knows? Good thing it wasn’t my wife or daughter they called. They would’ve just told them to do it. TERRIBLE!!!!!

Convenient Virginia State safety and emissions inspections. First come first served, Monday through Saturday. Plan for 15 minutes for each car in front of you. Queue up between the lines painted on the asphalt, behind the inspection sign on Liberia side of parking lot. Reasonable service.

Been here various times for a inspection & oil changes. Each time i had no problem with them. They are nice & respectful, I will continue to come back in future. Definitely will recommend to people.

We have gone to Shell since the early 80’s. There has been a consistent line of management since Greg took over. His reputation and that of the station is obviously important to him. If you have a problem, I suggest you reach out to him. Honest service, fair prices.

I came here for a oil change and transmission flush and received prompt and friendly service from the staff there. Harry was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the services I was inquiring about. This is a great place to come for all your auto needs as I come here all the time especially for my state and emissions inspections.

Horrible experience!!! Purchased a coffee while waiting for my car to be serviced . Turns out the coffee had been EXPIRED for OVER 3 MONTHS 🤢 When i told the cashier he gave me a refund and simply PUT THE DRINK BACK ?!?! He laughed and said it would be someone elses problem . Also, not to mentioned the mechanic charged me $35 for a failed state inspection and told me if i didnt pay hell call the cops on me ?!? STAY AWAY !!!!

Don’t ever take your car there for inspection or any other services. They told me that my car didn’t pass inspection because the lower control arm needed to be replaced. They tried to charge me 700+ dollars to do the job but I decided to do it myself. I took the car back and the mechanic (NABI) asked me what was wrong with my car and I showed him the paperwork he gave me and he told me it was a recommendation so I asked him why he failed inspection and he didn’t respond. He went inside to get the inspection paperwork that said it passed. So in conclusion, they were just trying to still my money. BAD, BAD, BAD. Never going back again

This used to be a great place for inspection. Sign still says open at 7am but Ive been sitting for over an hour. I went in and asked and they said he just started work at 8. Im first in line and it is now 8:20 and he is still nowhere to be found. Never again will I waste hours of my day for an inspection from here!

Need to have battery changed out, so just needed to swap. Mark had me in and out in a half hour!

The mechanic failed our car for inspection sighting there was a strut leaking quite a bit. Our honest mechanic said it was barely leaking. Fixed it for around $350. The Shell gave us a $1000 estimate.

My husband and I have been taking our cars to Manassas Shell on Liberia Ave since 1986 and we have always had a great experience. They treat us like neighbors and weve never felt pressured to have work done. In fact, we have taken cars to them when work was urgently suggested by dealerships and these guys have always told us when the work was not necessary. Their work has always beej terrific! I never hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. My son takes his car in to them when hes in town from Charlotte to have work done here.

This place tried to convince me I needed an oil change even though I had one done a little more than 5 weeks earlier and I had a reminder on my windshield. Dont like being scammed by a business. Probably will never go to this place again.

I was driving down the main road when all of a sudden my tire blew. I pulled into this station to not only find out they were able to replace my tire, but also took care of my brakes as well. The service was done quickly so i did not have a long wait. The owners were more then friendly and i will be back next month for my oil change.

Had to bring my nephew in to use restroom for an emergency while pumping gas. After walking out of the restroom the clerk yells at us that we should have asked him to use the bathroom first. Rude with bad customer service.

Manassas Auto & Tire representative, Mr. Mike Darlin, did an excellent job helping me with my moms Honda civic. I will admit that I wasnt the easiest customer but, I was impressed with Mike. Very professional and patient with me.

Just as everyone else has said, horrible place to go to. They take forever and then gave a false rejection to my car. Went to the Shell in Dale City and had the head mechanic there, Shannon, check it and was told that everything they failed me for was perfectly fine. Never going to this place ever again and I dont recommend anyone else going either.

I been going to this Shell location for the the 4 years for VA inspection and . The same inspector that inspected my Jeep for two years in a row now decided to fail my jeep for DOT label headlight and fog light that working properly. My question is.... Why did he passed my Jeep the last two inspection? I did not change anything on my jeep. So why now? I bring all my four automobile here all the time for car needs. I live in Bristow and they just wasted my time!!! They just lost a value customer for life.

Well I had an inspection you found some issues(that I would happily of corrected at half the price) HL adjustment and 3rd brake light out. If you’re on the phone when the guy Nabi comes up to your car (while you’ve been waiting for the inspection, he will upset, raise his voice at you and “command” you to GET OUT and give you a face of disgust and when you question him why he’s yelling, he’ll raise his voice again and say, “well you’re on your phone!” I told the person I was talking to hold on?! I feel so disrespected. So hurt. When I told the assistant manager he said, “people say that all the time.” The manager was very kind and spologized and tried resolving it but unfortunately may reconsider coming here! Finding this place close by to home was great. So unfortunate. I gave it an extra star because of the manager!

The Asst Manager inappropriately flaunts at women, follows them to their cars, & is highly unprofessional. The owner is concerned with profit only, at the expense of each customer and even employees, shorting their pay.Dont think youll get a deal via Groupon, their system is setup to accrue additional fees. Everything is a scam just to get the owners money, and to think, Raheel Sheikh, the owner is running for political office as Prince William county Supervisor. Awful! Beware of this con! Spare yourselves getting taken advantage of.

These guys are a huge rip-off for inspections. I brought a 2011 Ford E-350 van in with 26K miles and they said the front end needed about $235 of work to pass the inspection. I was shocked that these jerks would have the audacity to try and pull the wool over my eyes. I took the fail sticker & paid the $16 and left. Went to another place couple days later and they said there was nothing wrong and asked if I wanted to call a State Trooper to file a complaint. I was really tempted, but it would take longer to get my sticker, which I needed fast. I wanted to let others know that this place is definitely one to avoid if your looking for good, honest, and professional mechanics.

Horrible . Made an appointment and had to wait an hour and thirty minutes before being attended. Had a groupon for an oil change and they still charged me extra for it . Didnt feel like arguing so I paid it but definitely never coming back here.

They were polite and quick with the inspection that I needed done, and were fast to help with the extra work I wanted done on my car afterwards.

BEWARE!!!As other people report, do not go there for inspection. I have personally taken 3 vehicles there and not one passed the first time. Needless to say I have passed them all at other shops without any issues.

They make you pass a clip board to the next person to fill out car info. Went here for inspection, inspectors a bit slow and strict. Fail hids when other inspectors will pass. Will not return

Looks like im not the only one so ill give you my experience as well. i took my car here for state inspection and they failed it for a broken rear engine mount. i was quoted $225 for parts and labor in order to pass inspection. i was curious and found out that the part they wanted to charge me $75 for was only $30 at a local parts store. i took the car home and had it on ramps, needless to say the mount was in one solid piece. just rusty from everyday driving, took the car to a respectable inspection station and sure enough it passed. i will never go to this place again for ANYTHING not even gas. the inspector named Nabi is a crook and so are all the people who run that place. do not take your car there and waste your time and money. i wouldnt be surprised if VA state police payed them a visit in the future

AVOID! They perform shoddy work. When you get an oil change or any other work done and you pay for a point inspection: battery check, fluid check, brake check etc. THEY DO NOT DO IT. They didnt even rotate my tires, which I had paid for, and when I called them out on it, they fed me some BS line about the tires not needing to be rotated. Seriously, they must think I am an idiot. DO NOT GET AN INSPECTION HERE. I have heard they purposely fail you when other shops would not so that they get extra work. Such a conflict of interest.

Worst place to get your car inspected. The customer service is horrible. I will never go there again for any inspection. The customer service was so bad I took time out of my day to call they company to let them know.

There are 2 lanes for the state emission and state inspections. The technicians kept taking cars from the left lane no matter how long the cars and people in the right lane have been waiting. Ive waited over an hour in the left lane while watching people who came after me in the right lane go ahead of me. When it was finally my turn I told the NTA technician about the issue and he apologized even though it was not his fault. The Shell station technician was the one pulling cars out of order.
