Pina is AMAZING. Had a horrible experience with a different artist in another county, was not going to let the other artist finish the tattoo. Pina finished my tattoo, was extremely professional with a great attitude that a lot of tattooers don’t have. Number 22 in the books and I could not be happier! I know who I’ll be coming to see for all my future ink.

I didnt actually get anything done here. I came on a whim to ask a question about the possibility of redoing a piercing. I spoke with Danny and he was super nice and straight-up. He looked at the scarred area where the piercing used to be and gave an honest opinion of whether or not a new attempt would work. The honesty was what I was looking for, and I will definitely come back here to do a different piercing simply because I feel they deserve my business after such a conversation.

I called in a day before to schedule a consultation of sorts. They didnt really schedule it, or ask for my name. I walk in the next day around noon, and they asked me when I would be able to do a tattoo session. I said anytime! and they were like well how about right now? and I was so happy, because I lived about 25 minutes away and didnt wanna drive and come back another day. Also because they liked my Final Fantasy Moogle design I picked out. :PI got tattooed by Travis, hes super friendly and we had a good conversation while it was being done. The entire staff is very friendly, everyone else getting tattooed was giggling and laughing, the overall atmosphere was such a good vibe. Chill atmosphere, great staff, and straight to the point. Definitely recommend if youre trying to get tattoos in Virginia!

Danny was so awesome. I got a nose piercing and he told me exactly what was going to happen and made sure I was completely OK before I got up. This spot is definitely professional. Ive never had a tattoo yet but if I get one (Im doing it) Im going here! Thank you so much Im happy I made the leap! Danny, you made it so awesome!

The atmosphere was very laid back and chill. All the artists were knowledgeable and professional. The piece I got done by Matt (Bear) was exceptional, he hit the nail on the head! Not my first tattoo, but my first to come out of their shop. Ill be going back for more work, highly recommend.

While Im sure the artwork coming out of the shop is fine, one of the artists Jesus Rodriques, who goes by Pina (@pinaink), loses his temper with clients and is extremely hot headed. This is extremely unprofessional given the level of trust needed between tattooer and tattooee. Will not be supporting him, and I will not support the shop while he is an empolyee tattoooing under their name.

I have over 100 hours under the gun from multiple artists. Travis has the lightest touch out of anyone who has tattooed me and is very professional.

Piercer was quick and did a great job! Will be back for future piercings

I have gotten all four of my tattoos done here and i love them all! The people are friendly and talk to you all the way through your tattoos, play whatever music you want and overall just try to make you more comfortable

Went to get a tattoo my tattoo turned out bad I’m going to get it covered up looks like Mickey Mouse did it quality is not good.

Wonderful, clean professional place. Have had four piercings done by Danny by appt. He is very good and has reinserted complicated piercings that I attempted to change without charging even though I was expecting to pay and he could have rightfully have charged me. Offers good advice where to get styles he doesnt carry in shop. Does things the right way. Would/do recommend.

My step daughter & I went in for a small tattoo behind our ear Pina worked with us add did a great job. Nice clean place with down to earth artist. Will definitely return.

I got my double helix pierced a few weeks ago at this shop and they did a great job! The piercers were friendly and made it a great experience. They answered all my questions about cleaning and caring for the piercing. I had very minimal pain for the first couple days and no other problems following that :)

SUPER OVERDUE on leaving a review for Storyteller, but they are all amazing. I have had a few different tats done here by Pina and Bear, as well as multiple piercings done by Danny. They were all sweet, friendly, and informative. I have zero complaints about the shop or the employees, they are my favorite and go to shop in Manassas.

I recently got a tattoo by Bear! He sketched out something perfect. I provided an image of something similar to what I wanted and he exceeded my expectations. Definitely recommend this shop and Bear is your guy for tattoos!

Im a little late with the review but a couple months back, in November, I went to Storyteller to get a tongue piercing & I could not give a better review. I was pierced by Danny & I highly recommend this establishment! Danny was so kind, he explained everything & answered every question I had. Amazing service, gorgeous shop. Highly reccomend!

Always have had an amazing experience at storyteller. I had a touch up done and passed out but the crew was extremely helpful and comforting. Also have to mention how skilled everyone is there, their artwork is beyond unbelievable. Definitely a great place to get your ink done at.

This place is awesome! I came in and got my nose pierced—quick, easy, clean. Great! But I was really there for my five year old. She really wanted her ears pierced, but she was apprehensive. We finally went, and they were friendly toward her from the second we got there. They made her so comfortable, and the girl who won’t even let a dentist brush her teeth let the two gentlemen (Danny & Bear) put needles in her ears. She never even cried! They kept her calm and laughing the whole time. Thanks guys!

I tagged along with my sister as she got a piercing yesterday and I was really impressed with the shop. As a medical professional, cleanliness is key for me first and foremost. The shop was well maintained, the restroom was clean, and every instrument used was sterile- I watched the piercer open everything (like a hawk). The piercing area was in the same area as the artists, in a studio type set up. That setup can be a drawback, however a privacy screen was used which was very professional and courteous.As far as the atmosphere, it was also something to be reviewed. I personally have quite a few hours of work done, so Im not blindly commenting. The music was playing, the artists were all laughing and talking and the customers were interacting. It was a very relaxed and happy atmosphere. It seemed like home when I walked in, as if I have been going to this shop for years. Thats not something you get at many shops and its certainly not a vibe you can fake. While I didnt get any work done, I plan on making this my new home studio!

I have a few tattoos already done by a family member who currently stop tattooing so I had to go on a search for a new tattoo artist and shop, originally I went to All American Tattoo and they completely were unprofessional about multiple things and I ended up not receiving follow ups for a reschedule of my appointment or an accommodations. So after searching many other different shops, Storyteller caught my great attention and I was greeted and accommodated by Jay and the shop owner. Everyone there was polite and listened to my horrible situation at All American, Jay was able to do a rough sketch of exactly what I wanted and was able to work with my work and school schedule to get me in for an appointment. After many disappointments from other shops I am happy to say that Storyteller will be my new tattoo location and I love the environment and everyone who works in there just makes me feel comfortable and secure with getting my tattoo done here. I highly recommend getting your work done at this shop you will not be disappointed.

This review is OVERDUE but I have not forgotten my experience lol. I came to Danny for a nose piercing a year ago and he immediately made me feel very comfortable and everything went well. I recently came back to him a few months ago with a severely infected ear piercing (from a 5 year old piercing from Marlowes Ink). I could not even touch my ear without feeling intense pain. Danny was very careful and hygienic, he made sure I was not being hurt by him trying to take the infection out. I was amazed to see a horrible infection clear up within days of him removing and cleansing the ear. I recommend him to anyone who wants a piercing done right and if theres a mutated piercing, hes the go-to person for that as well :) Thank you!!!

I took my daughter to get her ears pierced today. She was understandably nervous but the guys at Storyteller were amazing with her. They were both (Danny and Bear) so kind and calm with her. Danny took his time, explained what he was going to do before doing it. Then, they pierced both ears at the same time! Talk about a moms lifesaver! Otherwise, we would have walked out with only one ear pierced! She is so happy with her new earrings and Im so thankful I decided to take her there rather than one of those places in the middle of a mall!

My daughter got her ear pierced last night and my thoughts on the place are that its clean, cool and professional, I would recommend to friends and family.

I moved to Virginia within the last year and decided to get another tattoo. I started like many others would and searched the internet. I read reviews after reviews and looked at countless portfolios. I narrowed it down to a few places and then I asked a fried where he went and he mentioned Storyteller Tattoo. They happened to be on my shortlist so I decided to make an appointment. When I first walked in, the place was clean and professionally ran. Everyone was courteous and I truly felt like a customer and not an annoyance.Jay was my artist and not only humorous, but he is a great tattoo artist. While I was there several others received tattoos and all seemed like quality work. The most amazing part of the experience was the level of integrity that I saw from the staff. The owner, Tim, leads by example when a under 18 year old came in with her parent. She wanted a tattoo on her wrist and Tim refused to do it, stating that is something that can follow you. He explained that you might as well get a full sleeve since you cannot hide a wrist tattoo. Not having weighed all the options, the teen was grateful. Tim also carried the same level of integrity with piercings.If you’re not sure on what you want, I suggest you visit them and have a discussion. They are very insightful and courteous. I would highly recommend them to all.

As a major migraine sufferer, I decided to try a Daith piercing in each ear. I saw Danny at Storyteller after reading the glowing reviews and Im so glad I did! Not only was Danny great, but Ive now been migraine free for over 2 weeks which is unheard of for me. I highly recommend Storyteller Tattoo!

Extremely unprofessional people. My friend and I, two young females, were highly disrespected by all three artists. We were spoken to in a condescending manor and made fun of to our faces. If you are a feminine female looking for friendly tattoo artists, this is certainly not the place to go.

So far Ive gotten two tattoos and one piercing and its been picture perfect every time. Ready to go back for more

I set up an appointment and the artist was there on time, the appointment went great, everything was incredibly clean and I left very happy with my tattoo! It happened a few weeks ago and Im still happy with it :) Definitely would go back :)

Danny was my piercing artist and I got my septum pierced. As soon as the quick forms were filled out it took no time to get it done. I will admit that though I do have a high pain tolerance, I felt almost nothing but some pressure and my eyes watering (which is normal) and BOOM, done. Staff has a great sense of humor yet remained professional. Ill be back. Aw yee Im purdy

Got three piercings at Storyteller. They got mw in same-day. Danny was awesome, and super quick eith everything. Worst thing that happened was him and Bear making me laugh right after one of the piercings. Kinda hurt, but whatever. Would go here again

Our piercer was awesome. Even helped me out a couple of days later when my Monroe came out and I lost the ball in the process.

Pinas dedication is outstanding to his work and it shows in his art work that Ive received. Hes completed several custome pieces for me, including coverups, and I couldnt be more pleased with the outcome. I never received complements before but constantly do now and its been an honor to work with him.

This review is for Pina, one of the artists at Storyteller tattoo. I visited the shop for the first time over a month ago to speak to an artist about a concept for a design I have. When I got there I was helped by Pina. After spending some time describing the concept I was looking for, he asked me to email him some images that I would like to incorporate into the design. I agreed and went home that evening and emailed him a number of images, including an image that showed exactly the space I wanted the design to occupy. Pina never replied to my email after a few days, so I called the shop again, and was told by Pina that I should come in again to discuss the design in person. A few days later, I visited the shop again and spoke to Pina about the design and the images I sent. He took a few photos of my arm, and told me that he would draft up a design, and would email it to me when it was done. After waiting a week and hearing nothing, I emailed the shop and ask about the status. I received nothing back after a few days. I then called the shop, and spoke to Pina on the phone. He told me that he would have a completed design ready for me by the next day, and that he would email me. Another four days went by, and I received nothing. I called the shop again, and was told Pins was not available, but that he would call me later. I left my information, yet never received a call back. Ive since called the shop another three times over the course of a week and a half, and have left messages for Pina every time, only to have him completely ignore me and not return my calls. At this point, Ive wasted so much time with them, Ive decided to move on. I give this warning to those who are considering a custom design, as apparently Storyteller Tattoo cannot handle these requests. Extremely disappointing, as they are close to my house, and appear to have done decent work in the past as featured on their website.
