Got up this morning and decided we wanted to go out for breakfast, but we were tired of the same menus. I found Ashton Avenue Family Restuarant in Manassas. A short 25 minute drive away from Aldie. Central and South American items on the menu, as well as all your normal favorites. Great food, fantastic service (ask for Paula). Could not have been a better experience. Will be returning again, soon.
Review 1: 02/28/21 - 4* / 5*90% of the time, this place is amazing. Ive had a few mishaps, like the one time where my eggs were inedible and smelled funny, or the time where my food showed up with bacon grease all over the inside of the bag... But usually the food is great and seasoned well. I always get the biscuits and gravy, with scrambled eggs (mixed with cheddar), some bacon and hashbrowns. It really hits the spot when youre workin hard all day long..Review 2: 09/07/21 - 4* / 5*The chicken quesadilla was good, but it could have been great or amazing if the onions had been left off of it. The addition of the onions just gave the quesadilla an odd bitter taste. Wait time was about 10-15 minutes. When I arrived home, the food was decently hot/warm and tasted good. The packaging was clean and efficiently sealed. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very nice. While waiting for my food to-go, I saw that the wait staff were very active in checking on their tables and bringing stuff out, even when the place wasnt all that busy. Good place to stop in and grab a bite to eat. Try the chili, too - Its amazing!
First visit and could tell this is a popular place. We had breakfast which was delicious. I usually judge a place by its coffee... loved it! We do not live nearby, but I will put this place on my list of places that are worth the extra drive.
A Hidden Gem. I drive past this place every day and didnt notice it but decided to stop on a whim and check it out. Great food kind people they were very attention oriented. Server Leslie did a great job recommending food which tasted great and she was on point checking to make sure everything was good. I would recommend this place. 👍👍👍👍
Amazing choices,prices and food. The Gyro plate was so good. Small pitta triangles and chunks of juicy gyro along side the best crispy French fries Ive had in forever. Also included was a perfect Greek salad. Ill be back.
The kindest service and wonderfully priced food! Was introduced to this sweet Nook this weekend when traveling. Would recommend the breakfast skillets for the price $10 including two pancakes is off the hook. Would love to come back here.
Amazing place, we did a brunch there with the family. The had excellent choices, food was very delicious, everything was nice and clean. The staff was extremely nice, cant wait to go back again.
Went for breakfast so totally yum!! First time but will definitely go back! Eggs bacon and grits were perfect and my grandson got fresh fruit that looked like I cut it in my kitchen.So well done on so many levels. .oh and the wait staff...PERFECT

The servers were lovely, kind, attentive. The carne asada (steak) was the best Ive ever had. Period. They serve fresh lemonade. They have some outdoor seating. Its not expensive. Ill be back.
I stopped by Ashton Family Restaurant at round 4:45 pm. Ive driven by this place countless times and always thought I should try that place. Well I finally did stop.I was seated immediately and given a menu to peruse. I had glanced at the menu outside and saw a few things that looked interesting. I ordered the Gyro and substituted a salad with greek vinaigrette for the fries. Just because I missed my cup of coffee that morning, I ordered a coffee and a water.Water and a dinner rosemary dinner roll arrived first. The dinner roll was well baked and aromatic. A great way to start the meal. Coffee came next and was freshly brewed (probably one of the perks of ordering coffee at 5pm...). The salad was great and the dressing added some zing.The gyro arrived soon thereafter wrapped in tinfoil. Everything in the gyro came together perfectly. The meat was a bit crispy on one side, the sauce and onions adding a little bit of bite and the wrap was fresh and a bit chewy. Overall a very fine gryo.Just to wrap things up I ordered a slice of apple pie at room temperature and was greeted with a healthy (large, not really healthy healthy) slice with a dab of whipped cream and cherry. Perfect way to end my meal.Staff was very attentive and things started filling up as I was leaving. Apparently this hidden gem is well known by the locals.
I’ve been coming here with my family for years now, and we’ve never had a bad meal or service. I love their gyro platter and nye is rancheros!
Thursday nights are Pasta Night at Ashton Diner. While Pasta Night is all you can eat I found it impossible to have more than one serving. I chose penne pasta with italian sausage and meatballs....then chose the vegetables and sauce. The meal came with soup or salad w/choice of dressing and toasted garlic bread. I wanted to return the next day for the same dish....delicious .
My wife, Helene, had you cater our daughters wedding shower this past weekend. To say it was outstanding would be a gross understatement - it was absolutely FABULOUS, we were blown away by how great everything was from beginning to end. They even helped us carry everything to the car. Highly recommend them!!! Thank you, Marlon, Eddie and Ashton Family Restaurant!

This is a really great place to eat! When you enter you can tell immediately that everybody has a “happy tummy” ... or is about to! Big plates of food and some great aromas coming from the kitchen.I have to say that the big reason I tried this place out is because of the poster who stated that it was on the cool side in terms of the HVAC. I really like to be cool while I’m eating and so does my family. As the poster stated, it was cool — just the way I like it! It made my hot plate of delicious spaghetti with all of my custom chosen toppings, sauces and meats all the better — Thursdays are all you can eat pasta nights, and be ready for some great choices. See the menu for all of the great toppings in the pics.The waiter was so nice — he really wanted to bring me another plate of pasta prepared any way I wanted it, but I could not eat more than 2 plates!!! The accompanying bread was good too — hot, fresh, tasty! I had the fall squash soup — creamy and zesty! The people here are fun too— they reached out and said hello and had other friendly things to say.There are also Greek offerings on the menu as well as Mexican — what a nice combination!The deserts looked great and other customers were telling me which were their favorites, but I couldn’t fit in a dessert on this visit...Small bar and a nice wine list.Something for everyone in a cozy atmosphere — clearly making people very happy on a regular basis:5+ stars!
Best breakfast in Metro area-worth the drive. Will satisfy taste buds of all. No better Pancake or breakfast fajitas in the state. First time here today-will be back multiple times per week-15min drive from Clifton.

Ive never had a bad meal here. Almost didnt write a review because I dont want you all crowding up the spot! Seriously though, the food is great, so is the service, and folks are always having a good time.
Bacon cheeseburger was fine, fries were good, but the soda was TEARABLE. At first I thought it might be Pepsi but I think it was a awful mix to begin with and then watered down. Others in my group had a similar experience with Sprite, diet coke, and root beer. Water wasnt much better, room temperature with a side glass of ice.

Very delicious Sunday brunch! A great family-style restaurant. As a previous reviewer suggested, I went with one of the non-American breakfasts, the Costa Rican one and it was fantastic. A lot brighter and more flavorful than my husbands plain-looking combo breakfast. Atmosphere was friendly neighborhood diner and service was 👌 well probably be putting this spot on our Sunday rotation as I cant wait to try their other dishes!
AWESOME BREAKFAST! 1st time there and we will be back. So many options on the menu, it was hard to choose. My chorizo and eggs were fantastic and my wifes pancakes were great. Going back soon!

Tried this place twice now because of reviews. First time, the food was OK...nothing better than what I can get anywhere else with subpar service, and the second time, we got sat and then kicked out of our seats. Needless to say, there are too many better choices for me to waste time here.

Amazing find in the neighborhood. great home style food. I love going for breakfast or brunch on the weekends.Sundays they have breakfast buffet. delicious. Cheff are making eggs to order (omelets, scrambled, etc). Good variety of items for omelets ; green salsa is really good!.if you are coming with a big group I recommend making a reservation specially on weekends.I am not a coffee drinker but my friends tells me it is not that great.. too diluted.Restrooms have always been very clean.

Since I was a little girl my parents always brought me here for breakfast, that was 15yrs ago. I’ve always enjoyed their food, the atmosphere, and their staff never seems to change. It gets really packed on the weekends and there really isn’t much room for a waiting area, you kind of just hover around the door or outside but there’s always that fear if they will remember when you got there because no one really takes down names there isn’t any buzzer system to notify you if you’re next in line it’s a little bit of a chaos on the weekend. Over all the food is wonderful my favorite is the Cuban French toast, they really put a twist on French toast.

Alright, a little excited so I went for the five even as it is shy on outdoor appearance. First time impression? We are returning! Food delicious and made there not prepped in some facility and warmed up or derp fried before serving. Service was great and prices were on point for service, quality of food and taste, presentation and indoor ambience! Reminds me of cozy diners up north! Nice job to Eric G our server! Kudos

Our order came out only a few minutes after ordering even tho there were a lot of other customers. To top it off all the meals were large and low priced. We liked it so much we wanted to go back when done but ran out of time. We will be back for sure.

Always great - food & service. Lunch is a good deal. Evening prices are a bit higher. They have well ventilated tenting up for outdoor eating right now. And thats good because of the Coronaviris Pandemic, so its one of the safer establishments in town. Weve been going here for years. Always good, relaxing & tasty. They have the absolute best Spinach Pie made with real phyllo dough, always perfect. Greek, Italian, Latino & American cuisine are all good.

Great food! I loved the Spanish fusion breakfast. I dont think Id come for American type stuff but I really enjoyed the huevos divorciados. Coffee was a little burnt tasting but the cream fixed that. Ill definitely come back here for a Spanish style breakfast. Yum!

Amazing food waiter came and checked in on us often and was so kind and everything was delicious. Definitely recommend for anyone stuck on what to eat they also deliver on door dash and food was still piping hot.

What a wonderful place to eat! The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Chicken Quesadilla and my boyfriend had the Gyro platter. It is unusual to find a restaurant that can really pull off multiple cuisines well. This place does.The food was well presented and tasted excellent. The chicken and veggies in my quesadilla were freshly grilled and the flavor was spot on. The side serving of rice and refried beans were a perfect compliment to the meal without being tio much. The fresh pico and guacamole were better than most I have had. The sour cream was rich and thick not the cheap runny stuff you get at most places.The Gyro had thick slices of tender lamb seasoned to perfection. All fresh veggies and greens inside were perfect. My boyfriend opted for the greek salad instead of the fries and was very happy with his choice.This is our new go to when in the area.Also...the waiter was great! Attentive but not intrusive. Well done everyone!

Foid is great, staff is super friendly, the restaurant is always clean...the fols take pride in what they have built. We go for breakfast and the egfs (regardless how they are prepared) are always on point.
