I like Kay Jewelers, but they need a check in or number system for waiting customers. It has been my experience in every store (in multiple states) that people stand around waiting, and the salespeople are supposed to somehow keep track of who arrived first. Yesterday we waited 45 min to be helped. We were the only waiting customers besides the ones currently being helped, yet somehow all the ones coming in after us got helped first. One clerk even walked up to us then proceeded to walk to another couple and help them instead (who also arrived after us). Finally my husband approached a salesperson and told them we had been waiting far longer than anyone else to finally get us some assistance. This could have all been prevented by simply having a check in system or even a very basic number one in place. Expecting the reps who are busy with other customers to keep track is ineffective, inefficient and quite honestly infuriating to those waiting.If I had been a new customer yesterday, I would’ve absolutely taken my business elsewhere. Instead, I’m an existing one who has purchased several things from Kay yet couldn’t get the assistance I needed.
Avoid this Kay Jewelers at all cost!!! Sherry, the sales rep who assisted me was rude and unfriendly. I don’t know if she was having a bad day, overworked or just unhappy with her life. Word of advice to Sherry, If you don’t know how to provide customer service, then don’t work in sales. I was so put off by her attitude, that I decided not purchase pieces of jewelry that caught my eye. I’ll just go back to Kay Jewelers at Fair Oaks where it’s nicer and the sales rep are actually happy to see and assist you.

They are always very kind and attentive to our presence. Even with the virus they are all wearing masks and have plenty of sanitizer around the store for customer use.

I went to Kays in the Manassas Mall in early November to purchase a diamond (which is my birthstone). I paid $3300 cash for it. The ring they gave me to were as a temporary loaner is white gold, which is not my color. they are making my ring yellow gold which is the color of all my jewelry. I call every other week to find out what the status is on the rig being made. I get the run-a-round. Im always told someone will call me back. No one ever does. Ive called and asked for the Manager and Im always told hes with a client and he will call me back. By the way, the 3rd week I went into the store and the Manager could not ever remember my name. Now, ask yourself, how many people use cash anymore? This is the worst company Ive ever done business with, Customer service is lousy. Save yourself the time and trouble and go elsewhere. I still have not received a phone call back from the Manager as of yet and dont think I will. If I dont have my ring by Christmas, because it is a Christmas present from me-2 me. I will ask for my CASH back!. Service is terrible!!! Go elsewhere!!!

My wife and I always go to Kays in Manassas, Virginia, for all jewelry purchases. Even when we moved to West Virginia, over thirteen years ago, Kays in Manassas remained our jewelry store, thanks to Cu Nguyen, the store manager. He is knowledgeable, honest, friendly, and very helpful.

I ordered a custom mothers ring over a month ago! Took a month to come in when i was told originally 2 weeks. I went to pick it up was told it was going to cost me more because they made a mistake and put in a better quality ruby then was handed the ring and it was completely wrong. It was supposed to have 5 stones, only had 4 and 1 wasnt even one I ordered it was way too big too had it even been right it was the wrong size. When I said it was wrong I was told oh let me look at the order, like I was lying. Then after it was confirmed it was wrong I was told we will have to order a new one. A week later I havent heard a word on it and every time I call no one answers!
Save yourself time and alot of wasted energy go to another store or better yet a company that actually cares about you and your satisfaction. After over 15 years of buying jewelry from Kays I went in to buy a custom gift for my mom for xmas. I was promised it would be ready the week before. A month later I receive a phone call stating my custom jewelry is on back order and would be back in stock after xmas. Pretty much sorry bout your bad luck now 3 weeks till xmas and am unable to go elsewhere. Customer service pretty much gave me the same song n dance sorry is there anything else we can help you with....WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY WITH THIS COMPANY!!
Very rude over priced I called about getting my fiancees engagement rings sized and when I told them the size I need the woman said O this ring is for a man without any hesitation so I found that extremely offensive and every kiss does not begin with K can tell you that for sure and i went to jared

They are really rude. The person I spoked with has no clue in what she was doing.. I am being charged more than I should have; its 4:42 she told me she was going to call me back when they close at 5:00.
