Purchased my BX almost 5 years ago with the front loader and bagger and have purchased 3 attachments in the years since. I have used Byrd for maintenance each year. Service the first couple of years was great, but unfortunately the past 2 years have not been good. Past 2 experiences will keep me from doing any future business with them. First, had them out to do an oil change and blade sharpening last week. Total bill was just under $500. On the bill, was charged for 3 gallons of hydraulic fluid to just top off. The tractor only holds 2.5 gallons and is 250 hours away from the next recommended change. The 2.5 hours of time for the items also seemed a bit high. I have also tried to purchase a $800 3pt spreader by reaching out 3 times. Each time I have been promised a call back, but the call has never came. Gave up and purchased from tractor supply. Unless you are a regular buyer of equipment, may be better going elsewhere. Would give a 1 star, but I have been very happy with the BX itself. It is a workhorse of a little tractor.

I recently purchased a used LandPride RCR1872 cutter in as is condition from Byrd Tractor. We all know what that means. Get it off the lot and something will break and you end up paying more to fix it. This happened to me. It is called a bad gearbox. I contacted Mr. Byrd directly and explained what happened. I was instructed to drop the cutter off at his shop. Within one short week I had the cutter back with a replacement gearbox installed. The important part of this story is Mr. Byrd fixed the cutter for free. I would highly recommend Byrd Tractor. Clearly they stand by the products (new and used) they sell!

The people there expect to much

Im recently in the market for a subcompact tractor and had been searching the internet for information on them. Ended up finding an ad for a used tractor that was traded in at Byrd Tractor, so I headed up to Manassas today to check it out. As it turned out, the tractor was not something that would suit my needs, but the information they provided was awesome.
