My experience with this store and the employees who were assisting us deserves a score less than 1 star. I went into the store knowing extremely little about the process of getting and owning a pool. I grew up with a pool, so I understood some basics like you need a filter and chemicals to keep it running and clean. After explaining to the employee that I was looking for a price that included the pool, all the stuff i would need to run it and clean it PLUS the install. I left with a few different prices - none of which included the requested list of needs. When going over the pumps/filters with the employee I was told several pricing options - none of which matched the price sign near the product. When going over above ground pool options and sizing - I never got a price of any of the pools I was looking at. I left with a chicken scratch quote on a piece of paper that stated the pool was $12K and change with an install price of $2400. I will never go back to Namco. The employees need some serious customer service skill training and product knowledge. I have already looked into a local company who will get my future pool business.
I can understand why Namco has filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy. They used to have good sales but no longer do, they used to have pretty fair quality products, but the quality has gone way down in the last year or so, and their once flexible return policy is non existent today. Bottom line; low quality for price paid, and no back up from the store, scenario for disaster. Even though Blue Dolphin is a little further drive for me, its now worth the trip. Bye, Bye Namco
Its hard to even put into words how insanely bad the customer service is at Namco in Manchester. The completely empty parking lot should have been a clue, but we went inside anyway (BIG MISTAKE). After looking around inside the store, 2 sales guys greeted us after apparently smoking the largest joint in the history of the world. Below is a list of the ridiculous things they did:1. The guy jumps up on the side of a display pool then inadvertently fell into the pool. He then said that he only did all of that because we asked him to (We didnt).2. When we asked the price of a pump, he muddled $15,5014.32 confused, I asked again and he said $15,3214.32 (the sign below said $399).3. Our sales guy asked the other guy to come explain the financing (which we didnt ask about and had no interest in) he came over and said the financing was $299 for a 2 year and $399 for a 3 year... we said isnt that the protection plan? And he said yes, so we then asked what about the financing? And he looked at us with a blank stare for about 20 seconds before running to the desk and bringing us a protection brochure.4. Sales guy #1 spend an uncomfortable amount of time explaining why he was wearing a mustache shirt and not his Namco shirt (We didnt even ask or remotely care).I could honestly list 20 other ridiculous things that these guys did but it not worth it. I left the store with less pool knowledge than i entered with. It was like the 2 guys in the store actually had the real employees tied up in the back so they could pretend to know about pools. I wish i could give them less than 1 star.
Great employees and great service. I love that the employees actually take the time to ask if you need any help or have any questions. The girls that work there are great.
This store has been a pleasure to shop in this summer. The staff is friendly and the store manager goes out of her way to help customers. The cashier and stock guy were a huge help too. Its a bit of a drive for me but worth it for the excellent service I have received.
Im glad I read the above comments about Namco. My last few trips to the store found service to be very poor, and a manager with a could care less, not my problem, attitude. I found merchandise pricing to be very high for the quality that you actually get. Guess Ill be shopping elsewhere once Ive gone through my reward dollars.
This place has POOR service and not very much experience. I tried to get pricing on a pool liner and was on hold for 10 min. The girl then came back and said we dont have any and cant order any right now. I asked why and she said she didnt really know? Really! Who is managing this store? Ill never call them again.
Horrible customer service. Received our pool, pump and filter about 6 weeks after placing the order. Finally received the pool and we were missing parts. Had to wait several more weeks for those parts. Got it up and running and the pump stopped working. When we called namco they said thereally was nothing they could do be a use it had been more than 30 days since placing the order. We need to now disconnect it. Bring it somewhere to get fixed and then hope it doesnt break again. Worst experience ever.
I switched to Seasonals Specialty store in Amherst. They know what they are doing unlike the staff in the Manchester NH Namco. Totally incompetent to provide any time of sensible pool advise.
Was sold the wrong pool filter last fall when we were in buying the fall cover and supplies etc. There was a sale on filters and the sales associate gave us the wrong filter given we purchased our pool package a few months prior they had all our information of our pool on file. Neither here nor there I returned to the store last night to exchange the filter and the sales manager of the store in the Manchester NH was rude to the other employees in front of me and to me as well. I do not encourage anyone to shop at Namco Pools. I was warned about the customer service of Namco and now I can say from my own experience people were right about Namco.
Paid for a 2013 pool, received 2012 version with smaller skimmer opening. Store confirmed this, but wouldnt do anything; not their problem, had to call corporate. Would also not allow me to return wide mouth adapter, even though I had a receipt. Offered to give me $5 for an item I paid $30 for. Was told in both cases, they can do anything about things after they are sold. Sent email to corporate and tried several times on phone, never got an answer. Waited over 20 minutes each time. Namco is filing for Chapter 11 so thats probably why. Now buying my pool supplies from Leslies and Blue Dolphin; and online through MKM pool and spa, where the slo-tabs are cheaper and better quality.Update: After several more tries, I did finally get ahold of a person at Namcos central office and they sent me to someone who could help me. Namco credited me a fair amount for their mix-up, so although I am not changing the rating, its mainly because their original rating would have been terrible, so I am upgrading it to poor; however I did want to point out that they eventually did resolve the issue, which is better than nothing.
We drove 2 hours to our closest store for parts, only to find a building that was for sale. If you are closing a store, take it off search sites!
