Very easy shopping with sales people that knew the products. They did not push but rather gave us the information we needed to make an informed choice. We needed a custom mattered for an antique bed and they could do it as if they did it on every purchase. I highly recommend Portland Mattress. This was among my best shopping experiences.

The representative answered all our questions, we selected the perfect mattress for us based upon her insight, and then she managed a flawless delivery date and time. I have used Portland mattress makers a couple of different times now to get custom-sized mattresses for antique beds. Their selection of different types of mattresses is incredibly varied, but not too many options as to be overwhelming. My sales person Cassie was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, even taking photos of mattresses in the showroom to help me get a better sense of them “in real life” without the need to leave home. I was very particular about some of the specifications and she was able to help me with every single question, always patient and full of useful details in her responses. The mattresses were just delivered, and the delivery crew was clean, masked, and super friendly. They even showed up with a thank you gift, a bag of custom brewed coffee from our local coffee roaster, which totally made me smile. What a nice touch. Friendly, courteous, and helpful service. Portland custom made two mattresses for our 50 year old hi riser bed. The mattresses were narrower than a std twin and we could not find replacements anywhere else. Perfect fit. Very comfortable. They also made two mattresses and box springs for a twin bed set. Our sales person was great, no pressure. We shopped another store the same day, what a difference.Delivery 2 weeks later in a 2 hour window, came the first 20 minutes!We were very pleased and so far after 4 nights love the mattress and box spring.

We recently went into the Manchester store and were very impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of Cassie. I really liked all of the the options that they had. There were many mattresses to choose from in all different price ranges, but not too many that we felt overwhelmed! To our surprise, we even left with an adjustable bed (we were not planning on this, but love it!)! Delivery was right on time and the gentleman were in our house for no more than 5 minutes. Everything was very professional and we are so happy that we decided to go with Portland Mattress Makers and not one of the bigger, well-known stores.

Best mattress I have ever owned. It is well made and extremely comfortable. The best thing is I purchased the type that has a pillow top on both sides so I can actually flip it which is impressive as these types of mattresses are hard to find. Everyone from the retail store to delivery was knowledgeable and friendly. If you want to support your local business AND get a quality mattress I highly recommend Portland Mattress Makers!

This family owned business delivered exceptional service from initial shopping visit to final delivery and set up. We wished we bought the mattress sooner! Fantastic sleep with the recommended pillow as well. We bought a King mattress that requires no box spring and mattress cover. Cassie was a pleasure to work with at Manchester location. Finally, a business that goes back to the basics with exceptional customer service, quality products at reasonable prices. You get what you pay for and support local New England made products. Purchased an Acadia king size mattress to replace our old queen mattress. Staff are wonderful to work with; helped us customize our sleeping needs. I had severe back pain for 5 months prior to this purchase. Weve slept on our Acadia for 4+ months now and Im 100% pain free! This plush model offers more than plenty of firm support. The Embrace bed frame is top notch for our bed. Also, our dog had an accident on our new bed; luckily we had already purchased the SlumberCool waterproof mattress protector; an excellent piece of insurance to protect our investment. We are new customers to Portland Mattress and will be returning for life!!

They were very patient the first time around and by the second I knew exactly what we wanted so it took minutes to purchase.
