This is a serious diving store and had many beautiful wetsuits and short wet suits and such. I could have really gone nuts just to get something that I can wear in my outdoor above ground swimming pool. I just do not like trusting my pool to my leaf cleaner and cant afford a better one! So Im going to try this cold weather fun. I guarantee you this pool is going to be cold!

No-pressure staff. Ive been in other dive shops and always got annoyed when you get kind of jumped on and then upsold to something overpriced by Scubapro or Mares. Not the case here.

Four members of our family, including myself and 3 teen daughters, took the Open Water Diver Course through Seal Sports in 2012. None of us had any previous experience, but desired to take a big trip together and try something truly adventurous. Rob and Joel at Seal Sports led us through classroom and pool training, then a long weekend in Florida practicing all of our new skills in the open water and a clear spring. Though my daughters took to Scuba immediately, I had more difficulties and anxiety. I wasnt sure if I would complete the course, but I can honestly say that the instructors were so patient and confident. They obviously love sharing their passion for Scuba and want each student to have a positive experience and thoroughly learn all skills. This dedication led our family to book a live-aboard scuba trip for 7 days, which we have just returned from (June 2013). What an amazing, life-changing trip! Rob came with our group (through I know that Joel also travels with groups) and was always patient, professional, and encouraging to each diver. We literally had the best time of our lives as a family, and have found something that we can share together for many years. Also...there is no hard sell at Seal Sports....though out on the boat I did wish that I had bought a better mask (and was so grateful to have purchased good fins that were right for me, as suggested). The guys at this dive shop definitely believe in building a relationship with their customers and I highly recommend them for anyone in the area who would like to learn this amazing sport.

Words cannot describe the genuine service I received when i went to Seal Sports. The owner, Rob, really went out of his way to help me. Anything i needed that wasnt in stock he made sure to order it and have it in as soon a possible. Going through the certification process at Seal Sports was great! The Instructors who taught the class and pool were very hands on and made sure everyone was comfortable in the pool and even offered some personal one on one time for anyone that wasnt comfortable. The certification dive in Florida was also an amazing experience. I will definitely recommend anyone who is looking to get dive certified to go do it through Seal Sports. The staff is very knowledgeable about the products they sell and the classes they offer. They will all go out of their way to help you. All in all, my experience at Seal Sports was second to none. I took a two hour Introduction to Scuba Experience and was more than satisfied. My instructors allowed me to set the pace based on my past experience (watching all episodes of Sea Hunt as a kid).I had a blast and the two hours went by quickly. There was no hard-sell to try to get me to make a decision on the spot to sign up for certification. I was given excellent instruction and enjoyed going through quite a few skills needed to complete certification.This was an item on my bucket list but now the bucket may turn into open water. I took a refresher diving course through Seal Sports in 2011 and had so much fun with the people there that I went for my Advanced certification the next year. I even brought my sister down from Tennessee to finish her Open Water certification dives through this shop. Seal Sports provides high quality instruction for a variety of skill and confidence levels, and the owner Rob has several exciting week long dive trips lined up this and next year. This is the place to find a dive community here in Louisiana!

My dad took me here to get my open water diver certification. I couldnt make it for one of the general sessions, so my instructor met me at the pool one evening to help me keep up with the class. Everything about my experience with Seal Sports was like this. No rush, extra attention to learn challenging skills, and a lot of encouragement. Ive learned to love diving and am now working on my Advanced certification.

I went to Seal Sports to learn more about scuba diving. four years later I have advanced from an open water diver to Instructor. Rob and his staff made my diving experiences even more enjoyable. They are my dive center for training, gear, and travel.I highly recommend Seal Sports!
