I have been a customer of Greg and his wife for probably 20 years,Greg even made a house call to assist in diagnosing what our pool issues were.They are extremely honest,NEVER try to sell chemicals that we do not need and I just replaced the valve on top of our tank and the price was extremely reasonable.I have sent them many folks and being self-employed truly like to refer to folks like them!!Cant go wrong there!!Tony and Dawn Cyprus

Not usually one to write reviews but felt compelled to after another positive experience at the Pool Store. Ive been using them for years and the service is unmatched. Greg is very knowledgeable and is always willing to offer me a less expensive solution. I cant count the number of times he has patiently walked me through checks and repairs to my equipment that (with his help) I was able to accomplish myself rather than having to hire someone to do it. As long as I own a pool, The Pool Store will be where I go.

Big thanks to Austin this past weekend for guiding me through the process of installing my booster pump. After being around Greg for the 18 years Ive owned my pool, Ive had my pool touched by almost all of their services. Their knowledge they pass along, and the friendship Ive developed over time with them has been invaluable and appreciated. FYI, if you havent seen how the rewiring of pool lights is done, make sure youre at home when it does. Pretty cool to see.

The Pool store has been taking care of us since our pool was finished over 2 years ago. Their courteous and prompt service has been exceptional. I have been going to The Pool Store for over 14 years for all my pool supplies and services. Ive tried the other shops in town, but Greg is the only one who treated me with honesty & integrity and actually taken the time to educate me about my pool. He is always willing to go above and beyond in helping me with any small or large issue in tending to my pool. There are too many stories to list here where Greg has been super helpful to me but here is good example; for the longest time I had been wanting to put in a pool heater to extend our pool season, Greg was patient with me year after year after year of me talking with him about it before I finally decided to do it. His crew did a fantastic job with the installation even fixing a couple other issues with my setup and I could not have been more happy with the results. The Pool Store is a family owned and run business that I have gotten to know over the years and I am always quick to recommend them to my friends, neighbors and family that have pools too.

We started using The Pool Store after the recent flood during which time our pool flooded. Both Greg and Austin were very helpful and knowledgeable about getting our chemicals balanced and the pool crystal clear again. More recently, Greg helped out with some staining by giving us a sample of a chemical to try before actually purchasing. Excellent customer service!

I’ve been coming to the Pool Store for 4 years now. The quality of products and customer service Gregg maintains is second to none. His consultation and advice on maintaining my pool has always Exceeded my expectations. I had tried other pool companies prior and none came close to the standard he sets.

I have a few issues contributing to my 1 star rating. Gregs first tech (Gabriel) drummed up $1800 in repairs and parts replacement that I believe were unnecessary. Additionally, he would use chlorine tabs in my salt pool (unbeknownst to me)because he didnt want to tote the salt bags to the pool. His laziness (or ignorance) led to me having to purchase a full bucket of chlor-tabs that I shouldnt have had to buy at a cost o $120.00. Of course Greg, the unethical owner of the Poo store, decided that I had to pay for the bucket of tabs his tech unnecessarily used. Gabe has had to come out to the pool multiple times in a day because of poor quality of workmanship. This guy is real lazy. Greg gave me another tech named Austin who was a big improvement but still extremely sub-par and slightly dishonest.Greg (owner) charges $60 per week for cleaning which excludes brushing and vacuuming and he has billed me $70.00 per week on chemicals. The pool store is a huge rip off, the owner is like a vampire for your wallet and his techs are dishonest. Every week I ask the guy if he brushed the pool, every week he says that he does but he must be fast because my cameras never see him do it. Beware of this business, theyre too expensive and not worth the trouble.

Nothing but good things to say about Greg at The Pool Store. He runs an honest business and doesnt try to oversell. Over the past 3 years, Greg has provided great advice for maintaining my pool. He develops personal relationships with his customers. This is one of the few businesses that exceeds expectations every time!

The owner is super knowledgeable and therefore helpful in keeping me from making expensive mistakes. My repairs have been inexpensive and supplies on par with a brick & mortar company. Buy local right?

David Brassieur you are WRONG. Greg Thompson, Jenith and Austin are very honest, reliable and provide an excellent service. This team has been there for me replacing lights, pumps, timers etc over the years. There is nobody more honest and hard working than Austin! They have been providing excellent service to me and my neighbors for years.

I had a leaking pool pump that was starting to make a great deal of noise. I called Greg at the Pool Store to see if could fix it as soon as possible. That afternoon he sent his employee, Austin, to replace the pump. I watched him take out the damaged pump and make the replacement with the new pump. I was impressed on how meticulously he worked organizing the small parts and fasteners while keeping the area clean while he worked. It’s nice to see someone take pride in their work. I would recommend the Pool Store for any work on repairing pool equipment

It is always a pleasure doing business with Greg. He has always worked with me on coming up with solutions to any pool issues I may have. He and his staff are always helpful with my pool upgrades as well.I recently replaced my pool pump and decided to upgrade to a variable speed pump Carl, the installation tech was very informative during the installation and did a very professional job. Despite the job being very tedious and time consuming and being interrupted by thunderstorms, Carl stayed until the job was completed and I was satisfied. Even though he had a long day and it was dark he had patience while showing me how to operate my new equipment. Everything is working better than expected.I look forward to working with Greg and Carl in the future.

Family owned business that provides honest, competent service in a friendly atmosphere. There is no better pool store on the Northshore.

After trying to work with Pentair customer service for seven months to get my lights repaired, I went to The Pool Store to talk to Greg about replacing the lights with a different brand.Instead, Carl, one of the technicians convinced me to let him try and fix the lights before I replace them. I was able to get Pentair to assign the work to him. Previously, Pentair sent people from Denham Springs and Slidell to work on the lights. One of these “technicians” does not know the difference between a Wi-Fi switch and a dimmer.Two weeks after Carl getting involved, the lights are working properly. The staff at The Pool Store has always been helpful and honest. Working with locals really gets the process completed.
