Excellent customer service. The second i walked through the door, I was politely greeted & helped. Every question that I had pertaining to e-bikes was surprisingly answered. I only say surprisingly because of the many other stores I visited not one was able to answer the specific question I had. I took my bike into South Bay Cycle when I couldnt replace a broken internally cabled rear derailleur shifter cable myself. At first I was told that their repair department was booked for weeks, but they managed to slot my bike into their schedule in two days. So I brought it back in 2 days and they replaced both shifter cables on time. The next day I took my bike on a nice hilly ride and upon arriving at the top of a big hill I discovered that I couldnt shift the front derailleur into the large ring unless I got off the bike and did it manually. It was way too tight. That made for an interesting ride. When I took the bike back to SB Cycle, they immediately fixed the problem and were very apologetic and took great strives to correct that mistake. Would I take my bike back there again? Yes I would because they are trying, but I wouldnt leave until Id test ridden the bike around their parking lot.

The bike I bought was a bit hard to find. I was looking for one for about two months until I contacted this store, and it took less than 24 hours between me sending an email asking about availability to having the bike in my hands. FAST! Ive been to a bunch of bike shops all across the South Bay (and the Greater Los Angeles area) and this one is hands down the BEST. From sales to service, the staff is super knowledgeable and extremely friendly and welcoming. SBC has that local, hometown feel that just makes you want to hang out and enjoy bikes- something I have not been able to find in most bike shops these days. I called South Bay Cycle with a question about my bike. It has a mysterious squeak. I wanted to by a new seat post. The shop mechanic, Frank, said bring the bike in, we can check it over. I brought the bike in, he checked it over, fixed the seat post (new paste) and torqued the seat post and saddle. All for no charge. I will ge giving them my business!!!

This bike store is the place to be. The manager, and salesman Bob are two very knowledgeable and friendly people to speak with about buying a bike or upgrading the one you have. The mechanics are tip top as well. Miguel is a beast at spotting issues. Thank you guys, i hope others reading this will stop by to see what im stating.

There were many staff members on hand. The main guy helping me was very nice, very patient, and willing to explain bike stuff to us. We know very little about maintenance of a bike. They paused their other repair jobs to take the 3 minutes or less it took to hand cut our seat post. Then the guy apologized for us having to wait for the registers to come open and gave us two Clif Bars. The total charge for the cutting also ended up being less than what Id been originally told. All the other guys working in the store also seemed very friendly and helpful.
