I dont buy $206 hoodies, but I got one as a gift upon putting it on found the pocket corner thread coming undone. Within 30 days as specified on the receipt, I brought it to the store for an exchange. They informed me that they could only send it to the factory for repair. I kindly pointed out the policy on the receipt and they informed me with attitude that because I had worn it they couldnt exchange it. I nicely pointed out that I would not have noticed the damage or known it even fit me as a gift if I hadnt tried it on. I also added that I have a lot of hoodies that didnt cost $206 that Ive worn for ages with no damage. She then informed me that because these hoodies are hand made sometimes they fray. So essentially she was schooling me on the idea that something hand made - their entire store - is of less durability and quality than cheaper hoodies I own. I get the fashion thing and brands to some degree. You pay for the brand. But I again pointed to the receipt and they finally capitulated with even more attitude. Take a page from another expensive retailer - Nordstroms. Be reasonable and dont put the work back on the customer. Make the exchange as specified on the receipt especially if within the time specified. Not everything has to be a negotiation. And no matter what, lose the attitude. Its a hoodie...youre not saving lives.
