I love this place. It’s a pleasure to have my breakfast here. Their staff is polite and very well organized. I live 5 min away and I usually comes in the weekend to enjoy their avocado toast !!
Decent but not anything special for the price. They have a great outdoor seating area, but the chairs are pretty uncomfortable and it wouldn’t hurt to add some covers. I ordered the bacon and scallion skillet which was small and the eggs were overcooked. I also had the homemade lemonade and iced tea which was pretty good but nothing to come back for. I also had multiple servers but none at the same time. They never came to check on my food and after sitting for awhile after finishing I had to wave someone over for my check.
Lovely place for a light breakfast or lunch. Service is great and they have a few items that I get regular cravings for and keep me coming back. First, their bread basket is a must, I am a huge fan of the hazelnut flute with their chocolate spreads or jams and their bread is always perfect, though it does not keep well and should be eaten that day. Secondly, their tuna, hands down the best tuna ever, I get it on a salad or on their starting with a side of soup, perfection. Prices are high, but I feel the quality is worth it. Worth a stop while in the area.
I was looking for a new place to host a tea for my group, and found this place on line. Cathy was wonderful to work with, and accommodated all our various requests. The room is charming, the tea OUTSTANDING, and the service excellent! Everyone in my group (ten of us) had a great time and we are all looking forward to returning, separately and as a group. Ive had coffee all over the world and this is definitely one of the best!
Belgium waffles at this place taste the same as in Brussels!!The food is good, coffee is average. And it is a dog friendly spot with outside seating area!! Perfect spot for brunch, couple minutes away from the Strand.Would definitely come here again for waffles😋🤪
Awesome food and ambiance. Pho is so flavorful and the beef and lemongrass vermicelli was flavorful and aromatic. Its a nice hole in the wall and I will definitely be coming back. The interior was decorated very nicely.
With a name that sounds metal as this youd expect it to mean something like, the pain quota or something equally as gnarly. Turns out it means The Daily Bread. Not as cool, but still very nice.Tasty bakery/restaurant in the Manhattan beach area. If you come early before noon, you can snag free parking at the library lot and skip having to pay. Awesome to come after hitting the gym or the beach. The warm grain bowl with chicken is very tasty and filling!
A Patisserie and No croissant? As the title says we showed up for a late breakfast and the french bakery/cafe had run out of croissant. That is like showing up at a gas station and be told that they have ran out of gas.As local residents we frequently visited this place until the quality started to take a dive. The patio is spotted with remnants of broken umbrellas and furniture. The planter boxes surrounding the patio seem to have gone through a nuclear war and adorn the ambiance with dried up and dead vegetation decor. The bathroom is dreadful. The food is totally unacceptable. Most of the salad ingredients are out of pre-packaged Trader Joes products and are dead on arrival. Coffee is cold and tasteless. To top it all, the manger shows up with a spray can of window cleaner and sprays with total disregard of people trying to enjoy the lousy cuisine.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Le Pain Quotidien has a great vibe to it, with indoor bench seating, to outdoor seating covered in umbrellas. It can get very busy and lively here, and it makes for great people watching if you sit outside. The food and customer service is a bit hit or miss. Some days service is quick, other days you need to get up to grab someone. The food falls in the same category - Ive had amazing food there and then decent food. On the flip side, the beverages are fantastic. This place has organic and handmade bread, and the bread is delicious.Pro tip - if you like hot chocolate, do yourself a favour and order the one here. Its amazing!!!
Great food!
Amazing! Food is thoughtful and organic, delicious, and pure. Great service! Nice atmosphere and near the beach so can feel those breezes blow by. Joseph the manager was really attentive and a pleasure to talk with. Were not from here, so we really lucked out landing this fine cafe for breakfast! Thanks for being here! Until next time- we will be back!
I have tried Le Pain Quotidien in Brussels, Belgium, first and this location is just as good. Delicious avocado tartines and fresh soups and yummy croissants! Also the server was very friendly!
Visited La Pain Quotidien in Manhattan Beach today for the first time. The server Bertha was very pleasant, and was patient answering our questions. Did not rush us to order. The food was great. We will certainly return. Thank you Le Pain for a great experience/
Decent restaurant if your in Manhattan Beach. Good place for lunch.
Good gourmet coffee experience and high end pastries.
Good for coffee, not good enough as a restaurant. Expensive for both. I could have used a few more smiles in the process.
Excellent!! I had the gluten free blueberry scone and it was really delicious and my husband had the raspberry coffee cake which was also great. We are visiting but I am going to make a point of coming back for more pastry and the pizza!
Went here mid week mid day. I am a local!Went to this place and got a seasonal ginger mint orange deliciousness. The drink was fantastic and refreshing. The place was clean and the vibe was very nice.My issue was that I was speaking to the cashier, a man with glasses, and asked him a question then out of no where this lady who works there too comes over and answers the question for me.I didnt quite understand why she did that but I thought it very rude and it made the transaction awkward.Anywho, Ill probably be back to try out more of the menu.
I am from Belgium which is the origin country of PQ. I love to go there and feel like home for a brunch. The one reason I like this one is that I get to see some celebrities sometime. They recently increased the size of their serving so I have been surprised ordering too much. .. but I took out my leftovers.
Very good restaurant. Nice and helpful staff. The food was as good as in belgium. Felt like home. Thank you.
Warm, friendly excellent foodTakes your breath away, nice ocean breeze.
The quaint little cafe had a warm atmosphere, but I was looking for a more robust meal than what I got - still tastey. If you order the ham and swiss croissant sandwich, expect a crispy croissant with 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese and a half cup of arugula on the side.
Had the kale salad + added chicken. Had to search for the chicken (there was probably 2 or 3 mini-slices). Service was unorganized (many people coming to ask the same questions), table was sticky. We asked for bread and it came after we had finished our salads. For the price, you can definitely find better nearby.
This place is the je nais ce quoi of restaurants. I stumble across it as it is at my halfway point on my hike when I do the greenbelt. Its in this center and located next to Shade MB. I decided to try the coffee. Met a sweet guy who works there and he helped me and I ended up with a gluten free coconut macaroon. It was insanely delicious with a lightly crisp exterior and semi sweet soft insides. I died... ok I revived quick.. I decided to go the next day to try the food. I know you all want the review. So I chose breakfast and I kept it simple ORGANIC eggs scrambled with a side of Bacon that is hormone and all that gross stuff free. I tried to eat the bacon slowly and it was not fat and thick cut but still very yummy and. It overcooked.. Perfection..the bread... I literally fell in love with the baguette.. #singlegirlproblems lol. Do yourself a favor take. Trip to France and enjoy the outdoor patio or the cozy French farm style restaurant seating. Or just grab your latte to go and sit by the fountain... Make a wish. See you there!! If you liked this review let me know.. bon appetit!
Its wonderful to have a bakery offered good bread and organic food. Courtyard is nice. Walkable distance to the beach.
Service greatly improved. Even when busy the staff are friendly and attentive. Look forward to breakfast here whenever I am in town.
One waiter for the entire restaurant l! Everytime it seems as of recently that theyre understaffed. I would hate to work here! As a customer I stopped coming frequently due to the customer service. I waited for 10 minutes just for the waiter to take my order. 20 minutes for the food to arrive. In the meantime he was busy with the rest of the tables inside and out so I asked for attendant in the front to add 2 scones on our tab. He refused to give them to me unless I paid for it. I already had to wait 10 minutes to order my food and now I have to wait possibly until my food arrives to order scones?Waited 10 minutes for my check to come after we had finished.I told this to the manager and apparently the company is changing their labor model... not a single apology or compensation for this horrible service. Very unlikely Ill come back.
Healthy with a bit of a European feel. Probably a little overpriced for what you get, but its a really nice dining experience. I usually come here for breakfast.
One of the best places I have had breakfast in
Yummy food and great atmosphere! Service was amazing.
Great food, really fast service !!
Good breakfast place, on the spendy side. Nice outdoor seating. Usually good service.
The food is very good (especially if youre vegan) and the area is beautiful. The only downside is the price is high relative to the type of eatery.
Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, open 7 am to 6 pm 7 days a week, dine inside and outside on terrace, kids menus available, variety of deli sandwiches, bakery items, take out items, has an app that allows you to order on line for faster pickup, parking available in multiple areas around the restaurant, flavorful food, fast service, all natural ingredients used in meal prepartion, handicapp accessible, large groups welcome.
Love the atmosphere, service and of course, the food!! Coffee is great too!
Great breakfast options, neighborhood place
Good food service
I could easily recommend anything listed on their menu!
Quite expensive but really nice choice of breakfast and good food
Absolutely one of the worst experiences Ive ever had to endure. I would have rather had all my teeth pulled without Novacane... After waiting twenty minutes for a coffee, and then to find out all their coffee cups were dirty, we walked out!! I would never recommend this place to anyone !!
Good salads and good service
I love le pain quotidien, all our food is always delicious, but the server at this one was useless.
Nice, spacious and clean. Beach neighborhood...
Love the food, the worse service
Service not fast. combo petit dejeuner very french disappeared !
Most delicious Coffee!
Quality food. Nice seating area outside.
The avocado tart is the best!
The jams are always so good, good coffee

Very good
Consistently good

Not my style
Great food, but expensive
Great Location
... always presently surprised
The location is 2 minutes walk from the beach, you can eat very well
All very good but the place does not have much room acousticsAnd it becomes very loud
Waiting for more than 40 minutes without anybody coming in unattractive staff (a fake French restaurant given prices)
Great.
But it was good
The most, rich, rich rich
