The perfect place, EVEN HEALTHY?!?! non sugar ice cream what the what the??!?? And the hours are wrong, it said its closed but they were open. The vanilla bean is vanilla but it has a slightly crunch taste at some points. And they have such a weird and unique menu! If this is a place then Ill be coming here more! Someone has gotta fix those hours though. Nice place! And the service is also good.

We found this place just by yelping. Omg their ice cream is so amazingly delicious!! So smooth and creamy! So many flavors! I wish they had a location in Phoenix!! I had 3 flavors, mint, la breA (chocolate mousse and brownies) and cookies and cream. I wish I could have tried more of their flavors! Their pistachio looks delicious! And coconut! Yum!

Stopped in here while walking around. Unfortunately they arent doing samples so I had to take my chances. The vegan chocolate was very good along with the banana. I have to say Ive had better vegan gelato, but this was good.

Really wide variety of super unique flavors, friendly staff who let you try plenty of flavors before making a choice, and great sizing options - you can even get a kids size and still do 2 flavors half/half side by side. I highly recommend the cookie crazy flavor, and California strawberry chocolate chip. Lavender honey is a unique one but I wouldn’t want a whole cone of it. They also have a ton of sorbet options for the lactose free. Not much seating beyond 2 tables but you can eat outside of course.

The gelato is good, not thick and creamy as I would like but it’s deliciousAlso, I ordered the brownie sundae and it’s HORRIBLE. Burnt, tasted old and though they heated it up, it wasn’t melting into the ice cream as it should. I even checked the bottomAnd it was burnt charcoal black. I showed the employees and they chose not to refund me.

Stopped by for a sweet treat for the kids. Space is cute and decorated with lots of Italia stuff. The young staff were friendly and funny! I ordered the pasta looking gelato and two small cones. The lemon sorbet was really sour and not enough sweet...not very good. But my daughter still ate it.The twins loved their cones and made a huge mess with them.Not a bad spot for some yummy gelato :)

Picture doesnt look like much but man o man this was pure beautiful. Ive been craving more since I finished this cup. Truly the best gelato in So. Cal. I have 4 different flavors in this cup. I have salted caramel, italian chocolate chip, cookies and more, and regular chocolate chip. All were equally delicious in their own right. Writing this review intensifies my crave for more. Get there and enjoy what Gelato and Angels have to offer. You wont be disappointed!!!

Excellent Ice cream

We didnt even plan on stopping by here but it was such a warm day, we were lucky enough to walk by and see this little shop. they had a wide range of flavor options and the ones we ended up deciding to pick were Churro & Vanilla on one and pineapple on the other. the pineapple was especially good and refreshing on a warm summer day.

The ice cream is so good!! It was the first time going for my family & I & we were pleasantly surprised at all of the unique flavors! The gentleman who helped us out was very helpful & nice, he even put a sample of an ice cream on top of my two flavor scoops because they dont offer samples during this time. Anywho, we would love to visit again if in the area 😀

It was Awesome! The gelato I got was Super, I had watermelon and lemon, lemon is my new favorite. The waffle cone was so good.

Delicious vegan ice creams!

Wish I saw the sidewalk sign before we entered, because that would have told me all I needed to know: its not Italian Gelato if its vegan. This is ice-cream and it was pretty bland at that, though the waffle cones looked and smelled amazing.

Wonderful service and delicious experience. Grateful for the customization and flexibility of ordering. Order on their website, not PostMates, to help them avoid a 40% fee.

Ice cream was melted left on door Step without a bag, they also charged charged me twice and when I called I was told no one is there to help me out

Gelato was good. Portion size was adequate. Attitude was surprisingly poor. Showed up at 10:20. Couldnt determine the flavors as the signs showing the flavor were gone. The servers then announced that they were stopping service at 10:30. At 10:35 we were asked to leave the store. When we questioned why they were closing now on a Saturday night when their website said 11:00, they simply said the store was closed and the employees had to be out of the store by 11. Dont expect to be returning, service is what would bring me back. Lots of choices...lifes too short.

As usual I don’t leave the comments like this but my experience with this place and customer service was not pretty well. I asked for sample to try and to know what i’m getting, but because of the Covid they are not allowed to give samples, that is was fine to me, I understand. I got an ice cream, paid for that and turned out I did not like the taste and I asked to exchange right away for something else for the price I paid. The girl refused to do that. I could not eat what I got and I had to throw away full cup what I paid for.

Cold Brew Gelato was VERY good. Nice balance between coffee and chocolate flavors. They ran out of gloves so we couldnt try the Geladough, though. Will have to come back and try it

Best Gelato Ive had. The flavors are so brilliant. Pistachio is wonderful. The banana bread so sweet. You really cant go wrong. They do have a few dessert pastries, which are pretty good.

The whiskey pecan, strawberry chocolate chip and strawberry cheesecake were all very good. Husband is a big fan of strawberry cheesecake and usually can’t find it in gelato. 👍

Many different flavors to choose from. You can mix and match. Good to have on a hot day, and its walkable from the beach.I found the pecan whiskey and salted caramel combo to be a really good mix. Berry and grapefruit are good too, but I like the pecan whiskey and salted caramel the best.

Great folks, asked if I could have a single waffle made like buttered toast (not on the menu). They didnt hesitate to accommodate and be super friendly. On top of that it came out great! Coming back whenever Im around!

Expensive. Other than that its great. I enjoyed it very much and their flavors are different. Great variety of flavors and every, flavor if a dare say, tastes exactly as described..... well as far as the ones I sampled. Going back for chocolate.

Gelato was fine but. . . the service was atrocious. A bunch of us went in at 10:30 (hours everywhere says it closes at 11) on a Saturday night. We clearly upset the two college students working there! All of the gelato flavor labels had been removed, so we had to ask what flavor everything was, and they couldnt even tell us on everything. After helping a couple of us, one of the guys proceeded to tell us that we shouldnt listen to the website, as it is wrong, and that they actually close at 10:30. After he had helped all of us, he proceeds to tell us, I dont mean to be rude, but you need to leave as we are closed. It was 10:45. Dont plan on going back to a place that doesnt want me there!

Came here with my girlfriend and grandma to enjoy a little German spaghetti eis. We came while the owners were hosting a German film crew filming a documentary. Everyone was incredibly friendly and we all felt as though we were right back at home in Germany!

I have been coming to Manhattan Beach from the Uk for 5 years now and never realized about this great Gelato place. I came in with it being hot outside and immediately was greeted by a kind lady who had a dog in for work, that always makes it better; it was adorable like a teddy bear with long poky ears. She was so kind and offered me a free toping if I guessed the singer from the Disney Moana Movie, I answered Dwayne Johnson and got a free toping. Thank you!!! Stuff like this is great for customers and should be seen as a great advantage for whoever the owner is. I will 100% be coming back when I next am in Los Angeles.

This review is for Rick, manager for Gelato and Angels, who is a credit to his company. He is professional and personable. Gelato supplys a booth at parties that serves ice cream and makes tasty ice cream sandwiches from donuts that are heated up in a waffle maker. They are delicious.Ive been to a couple parties where Rick ran the ice cream sandwich cart. Eventhough he has to deal with scores of rowdy kids, he never gets overwhelmed and always has a smile on his face. I totally recommend Gelato and Angels for your party and ask for Rick. Their ice cream sandwiches are very popular.

Very good gelato, and friendly staff, served beach side. They do a weird spaghetti-gelato thing too. Not sure I get it, but lots of others do, especially the kids.

Place was awesome! All staff were very friendly and welcoming to us as it was our first time in. I recommend getting coconut mixed with another flavor because it tastes amazing!!

Parking: Trying to find parking in front of the shop is difficult. There are a couple of parking structures a block away. This is very close to the pier so you can get it on your way down or on your way back.You can get two flavors in a small cup. They pack it pretty high. It is definitely enough to share with a friend. I figure it is like ice cream but definitely not. The coffee and the nutella ones are definitely a must try. My girlfriend said it is comparable to Italys gelato.There is a small sit down area. I do not recommend large groups but it doesnt get too pack so might be able to pull a couple of tables together.

Too full from dinner, but completely unwilling to forgo an opportunity to try the geladough when I was so close by, along I came, with my unwilling victim of a cousin. In somewhat of a rush, I quickly settled on having my warm glazed doughnut filled with tartufo al bacio (chocolate & hazelnut, basically).Several long minutes later, my geladough, warmed and stuffed, was brought out to me. Nice shop with delicious ice cream. Just drive yourself and try it. Parking is available on the street and the side streets sufficiently.

Despite not using dairy products, chocolate and vanilla have a rich and firm taste and are recommended for vegans. The price and the staff are complaining and it is a great way to take a break on the way home for a walk at the pier.
