They have lack of communication within the store they do not help you if you run into a problem they say they will help but never do you could speak to an associate and make arrangements and they will never notated your account. They wont even help or assist you in using what you had paid into an item they picked up they are only ultimately after the money not to build good report with their customers. I will never ever purchase nor buy or give any business to RAC especially the one in Manhattan, Ks.

Nice place, took care of our payment fairly quickly. Gave us enough information about our furniture and allowed adequate time to weigh out options

Rent a center in Manhattan has horrible customer service! They brought me a washer and dryer on a Thursday. I called them back Friday morning and let them know that the washer did not work. They said they would be here on Tuesday to bring a new washer and dryer. Tuesday came in way and it never showed up, they rescheduled for Friday and yet again did not show up. Called them again they said they’d be here Saturday again never showed up, then it was Monday, then it was Tuesday. And here we are now they will not even answer my phone calls. When they do answer they hurry up and hang up. I don’t understand why they’re acting this way with a good customer?? I will never do business with them again and I do not recommend their business in anyway!

1 they lost out paperwork2 they said we were approved and didn’t even check our references3 they called to confirm at date and time 3 times and once in person5 they made me pay for somthing I didn’t get but ok I get it sometimes you have a down payment they next payment would be that Monday I pairs Tuesday8 send me my contract and account number with how to pay and when it would come out of my check7 Never showed up to deliver we waited no call nothing so at 3:30 they said 1-3 they would pass by never showed we called and guess what they never called to approve anything they never checked our references they never scheduled a delivery even tho it was in the books!!! And they couldn’t find out paperwork!Then the manager showed up I told him everything he was understanding and took care of us or so we thought he scheduled us for Monday at 12:00. My husband asked to get off work to go take care of this 12:40 nothing so I call and they tell me the guy that was supposed to deliver our furniture didn’t come into work and they don’t have anyone that picked up our furniture from the warehouse to deliver anything!!! And did they bother to call us?!? NO!!! Never coming here again!!!! Unprofessional all over it!

Where only trying to sell used furniture that was damaged and stained for new price. Was not impressed one bit and went with Aarons in junction

I rented a dresser, nightstand and headboard from Rent a center in manhattan ks. although the dresser was missing a few pieces i still took them home minus the headboard(wouldnt fit in my car). the employees told me they would deliver the headboard and order the missing pieces to my house. well its been 3 months that ive been making payments and still havent received what ive been paying for. everytime i pay them i ask about it and they say theyre ordering it. my last payment is due and im not paying it until i get my stuff because after i pay i know ill never get them. do better rent a center and get some less rude employees, the female i spoke to was very disrespectful.

Theyre so easy to work with and the workers are nice. Yes the price is more than going and buying it from any store but you wouldnt be looking if you could afford it other places.

We have been with RAC for 3yrs now. We are so very pleased with the people, service & the quality of the items we have purchased. I would definitely recommend this RAC if you live in the Manhattan, Kansas & surrounding areas.

My fiance and I went in and picked out a mattress and frame, guy at the store said that both would need to ordered, so he orders them and the mattress gets here before the frame and the frame we picked out come to find out hasnt even been ordered yet and one local store has it but its being saved for someone else. My fiance called and found all of this out and was told when he called that the stock at the Manhattan store would be checked to see what they had for king frames, my fiance was also told that the people at the Manhattan store were going to a topeka store and that they would see if the topeka store had it and that someone would call my fiance on monday. Come monday no one called my fiance, so I called yesterday 11/19/19 and was told falsely that what we ordered would be delivered at 5:15 sharp. Fiance and I get home and wait for rent a center people to deliver what we ordered and its almost 6 PM and no one has showed up, so I call and was told that the store manager gave me false information and that the guy I talked to would call me back after I was given false information. Fiance had to call rent a center back due to me not getting a call back, we never found out why we were given false information, and the guy we both talked to is going to talk to the store manager about trying to get our mattress and an ugly metal frame delivered tomorrow, we arent even getting the frame that we picked out just an ugly metal one and no alternative selections either. Im not very happy with how rent a center is handling this. Poor customer service and my fiance and I feel like they are giving us the run around or just plainly blowing us off.

I have been a rac customer for years. I was recently put in the hospital for a serious problem I was bored with nothing to do. I called my rent a center and talked to john the manger and asked him if he had a tablet I could use while laid up in hospital! he said let me see and he said yes! he got off work and on his own time came to the hospital and brought it. it was well past his work hours! he did this on his own time and even stayed and visited for awhile. at my local store they are doing there jobs above and beyond! but to me they arent just employees they are friends thank you so much john!

Went in on Friday and payed for a livingroom set they said they where to bust to deliver next day so it wasnt scheduled for delivery until Monday @ 1pm. They Did not attempt to call my references or job for the verifcation until 20 min before my delivery time ( I know because my friend called me and said she almost didnt answer but she was on lunch). They did not come on time or call to say they where going to be late. Refused to deliver furniture on schedule day until job verified.. I just went and got a refund, dont waste your time. Go to Aarons or Ashley furniture. Way better selection too!

Mike the Manager is always amazing to me. I have purchased at least 6 items from them over the past 10 years and have had zero issues with any of their products or the service. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing! Store manager Deitrich did everything he could to help me with my account! Definitely recommend this store. Workers are friendly and gave costomers interest and happiness at a TOP priority!!!

TERRIBLE !! NEVER rent from here . They lie and try and get over all the time. Oh and lets not forget how they harass you 24/7 ... The MANAGERS do so as well, the prices are just so unbelievable anyways your better off buying items full price some where else than to buy from here, they OVER charge . For a TV you end up paying 1,000 instead of going to a store and paying $200-$400. Customer service is why ill never go there again. They dont even deserve 1 star but i had to add it to be able to post.

We werent able to make a payment in the past year that weve been with them, called them up and they covered the one time for us and were so nice about it. Dont have the greatest selections but excellent customer service, have not been disappointed with them yet

This place was awesome at one time I purchased a Xbox there at one time I bought my first TV there I even purchased a computer monitor there I know Im over paying and getting screwed over but its the best way fir me to purchase things anyway Im only 11 days over do and there talking me there gonna pickup my tvs because I cant make a payment by the time they want even though Ill be able to make my payment in full In 2 days screw you rent a center at one time you paid my bill because I was hurting for cash now you screw me over Ill deliver my tvs to you and you can come kiss my ass

One lady that works there is very rude weve been a costumer for 2 years and she was being very disrespectful and Ive put alot of money into two tvs and an Xbox and we get treated like garbage just because Im 11 days late and my paycheck will be here in two days and they cannot wait apparently

I have always recieved excellent customer service from one specific employee at Rent A Center - Manhattan. Deitrich finds exactly what im looking for and gets it to me asap with no hassle. I had a terrible experience at the JC location. The manager seemed crooked, unprofessional and didnt deliver all my stuff at all . Even tried to argue with me and say Well thats what you ordered when i know d&#$ well what i picked and payed for. Any who, i would totally recommend this place . stop by and ask for Deitrich, he is awesome, professional and gets the job done :)
