It was our first time coming to Mead lumber since their hours arent good for visiting on the weekends or evenings. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. If you are looking to build a bigger job like a deck or remodel youre kitchen, this is a great place to go. They have a designer on site with some incredible software to help you design the perfect room in your house.We were there to get some nominal lumber to build a raised garden bed. Nothing too fancy. The staff answered all my questions about projects we may have planned in the future about replacing our back deck and hardware on our storm doors.They mostly deal with contractors and professionals vs your average DIYer like me but they treated us with just as much attention and customer service. Will definitely be back.

Decent place for checking on windows and doors when renovating your home.You could also find some power tools and other gear, but I wouldnt come here jus for that, due to lack of variety...They have some nice models and brochures to look and get ideas from!Id say its a must stop before home remodeling, just to get the right idea. But be sure to visit the bigger stores as well, such as Home Depot and Menards, just to make sure if they have EXACTLY what you were looking for.Prices here seem to be a little higher.Its a bit confusing to find this place so remember to get off Seth towards Amherst and then right away to Frontage rd.Good luck with your projects!!

If youre looking for knowledgeable workers, quality lumber, and great service, going to an old school lumber yard like Mead is your best option. Yes, their hours arent the most convenient. However, theyll take orders over the phone, and can do local deliveries. Deliveries are a huge plus for someone like me who doesnt have a truck.

I needed to order siding for my house. The team not only made a couple of recommendations but their free local delivery made life much easier than trying to find a trailer long enough and more than made up for the difference in material price from other options.

Never open. 7am - 5pm. Would have to take a day off work to buy something here.
