Nice ice cream parlor with an amazing selection of flavors and ice cream treats. We really enhoyed the dark chocolate and mint choclate chip double.Very family-friendly place. I loved the cow out front!

Very good, fresh ice cream made right on premises. Many flavors with several rotating seasonally. Had the Strawberry Cheesecake Yogurt and my spouse had cone of Butter Pecan. Both very good. Huge portions.

The best ice cream, hardest part was all the choices. Large portions and reasonable prices. There was a line (Sat afternoon on hot day) but it moved fast and definitely worth the short wait.

The kids always love going to the big cow in Manitowoc. You cant beat the taste of Cedar Crest ice cream, and they have enough seating options to enjoy your treat outside. When there is a slightly warmer day than usual in Manitowoc, try cooling off here.

Always a customer line up because of the many ice cream flavors, cones or containers. Very busy servers do a quick job of getting choices out to customers. Outside eating at tables or on the lawn. Big Cow in front is a local favorite for photos.

Cedar Crest has to be some of the best ice cream in the Dairyland, and this parlor is the place to go for it! There is a wide variety of flavors and menu options available, including sundaes and cones. Seating is primarily outdoors, but that makes for a perfect summertime treat!

Literally the best ice cream out there. They always have so many options for you to choose from and always let you taste it before you get it. Be sure to ask for your scoop stamp card because they typically forget since they are normally so busy.

A small ice cream shop for cones and sundaes at typical parlour prices. Busy with many flavors in hot weather but much more limited in the fall. No tours or windows to see the factory are available but there is a short video playing in the parlour that explains how the ice cream is made.Overall the experience was okay, but nothing you cant get at any shop serving Cedar Crest and a bit disappointing for a Cedar Crest fan hoping for something special.

Our favorite spot for ice cream 🍦 we were not sure what the sizes of the banana 🍌 splits would be. We ordered 2 of them and wow 😲 thry are huge. But so good and sweet we both enjoyed it im super stuffed haha thanks

I bought a pint of mint chocolate chip from the truck stop in plainfield,wi I usually stick with breyers ice cream but they didnt have it so I tried this and It definitely beet my expectations ide rate there ice cream with Breyers 1-10 being 10 on both ill be back to buy more.

Absolutely delicious ice cream.I was torn about my second flavor until I tried a sample of the strawberry. It was so nice to find a strawberry ice cream which didnt taste like the artificial flavoring used in most candies. The second scoop was the Midnight Dark Chocolate - definitely worth the time to eat slowly and savor.Im looking forward to coming back here next year when Im in town again.

Amazing staff - very polite and patient. The flavors are great as always. The shakes and malts are definitely items you should try. When in doubt just ask the staff whether a combination is popular or not.

Super nice people, both in the store and in the shipping/receiving department. For truck drivers, directions are as follows. From I-43 South, take exit 149. Go NORTH ON U.S. 151. Turn Right on Dewey St.(Truck Route). Go 2 miles. Turn left on 10th St. Take 2nd driveway, marked Entrance, follow around the building to the south side, watch out for tight turns. The shipping/ receiving dock is very tight for 72FT OTR trucks.

We were 6 cents short of paying for our ice cream and when we couldn’t pay they came out front and took the ice cream out of my 7 year olds mouth while he was eating it

Smooth and creamy, absolutely the best ice cream. Had the churro flavor. Excellent cinnamon flavor and lots of churro pieces.

The atmosphere was cramped, cattle-chute style, designed to encourage fast turn-around on tables. I even got bumped into by a very charming nun.The tables outside were meh. The staff were cheerful and professional, for the three seconds I interacted with them.But lets be honest. Youre not going to Cedar Crest for the atmosphere. Youre going for the amazing ice cream.And it is amazing. I want more right now.Right.Now.

While the ice cream is delicious the parlor was a bit lackluster and flavor options were deeply lacking. There were only about 12 to choose from. Considering its the factory store, I suppose I expected more and looked forward to trying something new.

On August 14, 2020, I was looking forward to the yearly Cool City Classic Car Cruise and we all decided to stop at the Cedar Crest Ice Cream Shop in Manitowoc.Well, from there my experiences went in the toilet.I have always loved Cedar Crest Ice Cream, and buy it repeatedly at both the grocery stores and ice cream parlors. Unfortunately, that will be a thing of the past.Because of the virus precautions, we were told we had to wait in line in the blazing sun. They only let one family in at a time. Normally, at this point, I would just move on to something else in my day. But I really like their ice cream! So I sweated, and when we got to the door, we claimed medical exemption, no masks. The girl said she had to clear out the lobby before we could go in, for our protection (yeah, right). She then let us in, where we proceeded 6 feet to the three people behind the counter. All three had just watched her put me through the wringer once. But that wasn’t enough, the girl at the counter started to give me the mask lecture. I cut her off, saying she just say the other girl do it, and did she think the other girl was not doing her job? She said she was just double checking, so yeah, despite the fact that she knew I just went through all that, she felt the need to harass me about all over again. I definitely lost my temper then when she proceeded to start the spiel all over again. I said that an ice cream cone was not worth going through all of that. I said I was just going to leave, and as I turned away, the young man at the counter said “Good”.What happened to respect and manners? Harassment? An applauding attitude because I was leaving? I don’t think those are part of the governor’s mandates!So everybody wants to say that they have to right to set their policy, but let’s look at what that policy of poor manners cost them.I am just one person, but I bet others got a bad taste in their mouth also. So I went on a Facebook site that is putting information out there like this. So now everybody on that site has a bad idea of Cedar Crest’s reputation, but a very good impression of other companies that don’t go “Nazi” on their customers.I doubt Cedar Crest will care because their real customers are the large grocery chains.But at the cost of their reputation?And while my future ice cream purchases will total at least $1600.00, I don’t think they care. But those purchases won’t be with Cedar Crest…..

Went recently. Had to wait for a while outside (thanks corona). Once it was our turn, we ordered, were rushed to pay, and they forced my wife to wait by the register to hurry us out while they finished scooping her ice cream. Overall good ice cream, but not as good as pine river dairy, which sells ice cream at 25 cents a scoop.

I ordered a waffle cone with old fashion butter pecan with a small scoop of black cherry.. Omg this cone was delicious huge and filling. And that was a single scoop. $2.50 but because i put that scoop on the top out was $3.25. Well worth it.. I shall return and next time Ill take pics

Stumbled upon this place while visiting Maritime Museum. I’m so glad that we made the trip back to find this little gem. Lots of flavors to choose from. It’s very clean. Friendly staff. Very affordable. I believe they make their own ice cream on location. Definitely keeping this place on my favorite places to visit.

So many choices, all delicious! They provide samples so you can choose your favorite. I am from out of state but when I am here to visit my daughter this is a must-go within the first few hours of arrival.
