We were on a way to a wedding in Minnesota on Saturday when our alternator broke. We are from Indiana and had to get back for work on Monday. Peter, at the desk, was extremely helpful in making sure our car was fixed soon. We are appreciative for the efficient and kind service even amidst their busy business hours.

Had a bad tire on a weekend get away. I called in and they got me in same day. 4 tires replaced 2 hrs later and we were as good as new. They even had a special going. Staff was helpful and professional, and they garage guys were skilled and knowledgeable. Great place to get your tires replaced.

Got new tires. Firestone weathergrippers. Was quoted a price well below the garage prices but they forgot to tell me of the $171. Labor charge added on. I just figured that was part of the deal. Instillation. They were still $185 cheaper. And do these tires grip the road. Cant wait to see what they do in the snow. But i think i may be loosing a little in mileage since they are a bit softer. We will see.But as Vivian would ssy, They corner like their on rails.🤣😂

I had good visit. Oil change was done faster then expected and their hours allowed me to finish all my errands on my timetable.People I interacted with were friendly and helpful. They maybe didnt wash my car and polish the tires, but wasnt part of the deal nor should it have been expected. My expectation were met, and left very satisfied with my visit.

We got a unexpected flat tire near Tires Plus. They were able to squeeze us in to have it fixed. The workers were very friendly and the tire was fixed quickly without a long wait time.

Brought my car into Tires Plus months ago for an oil leak and spark plugs. They “fixed” it, a few hundred dollars later, and its fine.Fast forward 4 months later, i have to replace spark plugs again due to it not being done. And the same oil leak that was there originally, is still occurring.We won’t address the issue of them trying to fix a fuel line with zip ties. They said theyd check and fix it as a courtesy, instead of actually finding and fixing the issue properly like they should.I would NEVER recommend coming here. Very convenient as they’re open when others aren’t but that’s the only positive about this place.

Andrew who works the counter would rather sell a tire than look at the possibility of putting a patch on. He is also very rude about it and said “you should be more up to date on the policies as I try to be”. I definitely will not be back.

Never go there!!!They are super unprofessional. Especially the front desk people. They lie a lot for their commission. Even the manager doesnt care at all. They are very expensive. Poor work. The guy was working on front desk was super unprofessional. I came for my appointment but he kept sitting on his phone talking to someone. Over 10/15 minutes he kept talking without saying me even “hi”. He totally ignored me. Once he was done, he came to me and complained I am 20 minutes late, so repair will take longer than they said. He forgot that he kept talking more than 10 minutes.It actually took 2 hours to get their job done. It supposed to take less than an hour. They are rude and have poor customer service. They dont care whether the customer is happy or not.While taking appointment they told me one price, however when they finished their job they gave me different price which is kind of fraudulent activity. They also recommend me some extra repair which is really expensive. I just said No. I have had enough. No matter what problem you have on your car, they charge a lot more than that.Worst car repair shop in Mankato!

Definitely not recommended!1. They are most expensive in Mankato in my opinion.2. Front desk people are worst and rude even if the manager himself. (If you are from different country)3. Their car experts are not actually expert. They will most probably ruin your car instead of fixing it.4. They recommend so many things by scaring you and charge tens and thousands of dollars.5. I have been trying to call them for about a month now for oil changes for two of my cars they never awnswr there phome so I did the online appointment scheduled and I get a email saying they cant do it for the times I choose so keep calling for a little longer and never a awnser!!!!!! I was in Mankato from Minneapolis getting my COVID shot across the street at Thrifty White, and on the way down my Ford Explorer notified me that it required an oil change. Obviously I didnt have an appointment but John welcomed me and told me theyd squeeze me in if they could -- he was wonderful and Liz was so personable, too! They even had a special on synthetic oil that I didnt know about and applied it right away. They ended up getting it done within 90 minutes and I was on my way back not having to worry about ruining my car. Thank you for your kindness, Tires Plus Mankato. TOP-NOTCH SERVICE.

Good service and very good prices, I needed an oil pan gasket replaced on my car and the dealer wanted over 800$ to fix, TiresPlus only charged me 350$ and that’s with an oil change and full inspection. I’ll definitely be coming back again with their affordable prices.

Over priced 140 an hr for labor. Had vehicle for 3 hrs and labor cost was 680+ marked up part cost. When asked why so much was told to go other place 🙄 ok will do

I had an appointment at 2pm. Came back at almost 4pm and my vehicle still isnt in the shop and now Im told that its going to be another 1 1/2 hours after they get my car in. And all Im wanting is my tires replaced! 🤬Not coming back, for sure! 😠

Have used this Tire Plus for many years now and have always been happy with them. We recently had the oil changed there and a check engine light fixed. They were great about working around work schedules.

Took them three days of calling to finally get them to answer their phone. We called at different times of the day all day. We live out of town and found a great deal on the website but wanted to make sure the tire was in stock before making the drive.When they did answer, they told us the tire on the website advertised on sale was actually discontinued ages ago. Why is it still on your website? We asked for a similar tire for our vehicle to buy instead - she put us on hold for 12 minutes and then asked for a number to call us back. We gladly gave her two different numbers, mine and my partners, to eagerly get an estimate on tires.It’s been three weeks. No call back. And no matter how much we call, no answer. Ridiculous customer service. Will never be calling again or recommending.

This store is understaffed however it doesnt excuse their mistakes. I dropped my car off the night before so they could do an alignment. They did an inspection first (which I didnt request) and then called with that report. I told them to just do the alignment for now. I went to pick the car up after work (20hours after dropping it off), and they hadnt even started the alignment. Then they wanted to charge me for the inspection. Nothing they found in the inspection was even related to alignment just their typical BS with fluids and filters.Please note that I was told they would get to it the next morning when I dropped it off. Interesting stuff shes done

Customer service is clearly very important to all the employees here. Very refreshing to see. 5 minutes to close and they welcomed new customers needing tires replaced even though they would have to stay an extra hour. Take note Fantastic Sams who will stop taking customers an hour before close just so they can get out on time! All the employees at Tires Plus while I waited for my vehicle went above and beyond with every customer...kudos to Tires Plus!

Recently brought my boyfriends car in to have new tires put on and they told us they had the tires after 3 hours of waiting they then told us they couldn’t find the tires. And now they won’t answer the phone called them at least a thousand times. Don’t recommend this place!!!

Went in to have new tires put on my daughters car We went to pick up the car and they said It could not be aligned because a tie rod was loose 120 dollars to fix and needed1300 dollars worth of other work didn’t have time that day so my daughter Went to her shop and they said nothing was wrong with the parts tire plus said were bad just a loose oil plug. This is too bad as I have always trusted tire plus in Mankato but I guess I will have to find a new place to go!!

Definitely do *NOT* recommend! Employees at this location are puppets on a string. They are told what to say, when to say, just like a puppet when its strings are manipulated. If you have a discrepancy for whatever reason, youll have to use third party resources to assist you in resolving the discrepancy. Because of the puppet on a string mentality, youll be told several times, I am so sorry about this. But I just dont have access to that. Or Because I dont have access to that, youll need to call Tires Plus customer service. So what exactly does this location do? Very good question. And what does the Tires Plus so called customer service actually do? Very good question.Do NOT schedule an appointment nor pre-pay for service or tires online.(Even amidst the current health situation.)This will cause you an extreme headache and hours of wasted time. Online will state the tires and/or service is in-stock, when it actually isnt. And because this location doesnt have access to that information, youll be told to contact Tires Plus customer service, which is actually just a mass center of puppets on a string that schedule appointments and provide teleprompter read information about available tires. So between the physical store and so called customer service, neither of them will provide an acceptable answer and will just tell you to call the other place.So dont waste your time or money on this circus of an establishment. Do it right, right off the bat, and go elsewhere!

Hot summer day, and a collection of tar on the tire prevented travel above 45mph. Passing though town 90 min from home and needed help. Not only was the staff willing to assist, the bill was to pay it forward. I left a tip for the tech that assisted and highly recommend the good people of Tires Plus Mankato if you have a tire issue.

They were an hour and a half behind. They said it was because of short staffing but three people came in thanking them for squeezing them in short notice and without an appointment. My oil change was scheduled for 230pm. I left their at 5pm. They also never reviewed anything they found wrong with my vehicle. I had to read it on the slip later. Going somewhere else to have it fixed.

Fast efficient friendly staff. Never had a problem. Only place I go for my tires.

They have NEVER EVER ONCE taken my car back at the time of my appointment, or shortly after. We have been coming here since we bought our vehicle, and every single time we have had to wait at least an hour before they take our car back. They always have a full lobby, and with COVID Im not comfortable sitting in such a packed lobby so I go for walks. I had time to walk to the mall and then Walmart, shop, and walk back. Where I STILL had to wait (outside) an additional 15 min before they would take my vehicle back. With winter coming, they are going to have problems. They lost our service. Not worth paying the labor here anymore.

Pretty painless experience. If you know what to expect and do research beforehand youll be fine. Some tire services you might get included elsewhere at a lower price (like Sams Club) are what can really add up. They were polite, and efficient at my visit.

They do all my oil changes. I schedule online a day or two before and get right in. They always do a quick inspection of my truck and if there’s anything it needs, they let me know without any pressure to buy that day. Awesome service at a great price. Why go anywhere else?

Horrible customer service! Had tires put on a vehicle and with barely 5000 miles put on them, the tires were showing wires! Obviously, defective tires. I went into the place and tried to explain to the lady that was working. Without listening to myself, she told me that that my tires warranty was no good and I could come back in a few days to have them looked at. I have never seen tires show wires with 5000 miles on them. I will never return to this place again. What a disappointment to spend that amount of money only to be spending more again.

Very helpful and knowledgeable. Found things needing to be replaced that we knew were starting to go out, but no high-pressure tactics to get us to commit to the repairs immediately. All around, a great experience!

The staff here was nice, Ill give them that. But the service was terrible. I waited 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation because they didnt ask me where my locking key was. If they have questions, ask the owner they might know 🙄. Overall, best to avoid this place if able.

I loved their customer friendly approach. However, they fixed my car with new brakes but barely a month, the brakes failed on a highway with screeching sound. I took it in to the dealer and surprisingly, the brakes were not combarttible with the car, poor quality and some parts were left loose without being locked in place. Definitely have evidence for this.

Took my 22 inch rims there to have them put them on, they told me that they wouldnt fit yet the dodge dealer told me yes they would fit with no problem they were the biggest size tire and rim that would fit on my car, sure enough i went home and put them on myself in my driveway and they fit with no problem, how is it that a tire shop doesnt know about tires, will never go to tires plus ever again they dont know what they are doing

We always get our tires done here. Today we are getting the lifetime alignment option for our vehicle. Staff is always friendly and service is quick. If anything extra needs done, they do a great job explaining what and why.

I went into MANKATO tires plus and told them (ELizabeth) to check the leak with the radiator in front of the van. Didnt check the leak as I stated but they mysteriously found other things wrong with my van (That could of waited) and said that my oil filter/pan was leaking and tie rod ends needed to be replaced but nothing was said about the leaking radiator. Lmao Then she asked who did my oil change last n I said jiffy lube and, the jiffy lube sticker was in the top left of front wind shield like they didnt noticed the sticker. Lol. If there would of been a leak with the filter, the oil would of been all over the under carriage of the van as the jiffy lube technician told me and SHOWED ME it was dry as could be and no oil at all under the van and technician said the oil pan seeping but wasnt dripping.Most importantly what was my main concern was my radiator because it was leaking, so they didnt do anything at all with my radiator and the jiffy lube technician showed me the leak underneath in front of the van like I stated to tires plus Elizabeth. I used to go to tires plus whenever needed to be fixed on my vehicles cause I trusted tires plus but I guess not anymore...... Then to dish jiffy lube for not tightening the oil filter when it didnt happen makes tires plus look really bad tires plus couldnt follow thru with the radiator leak I 1st stated with when I came in with that specific problem...... I would not recommend mankato tires plus to anyone not even my worst enemy. Lmao Oh well, Thanks Elizabeth for a horrible time at tires plus.

Stopped in awhile back looking for pressure valve caps bc I lost one and they gave me one for free. Later I had a leaky tire that ended up needing to be replaced, was easy to set up an appointment, friendly service, didnt take that long. Weekend hours are super convenient.

I had to wait for 3 hours after making an appointment. I really hate giving low ratings. The people there were nice, and apparently they do good work because there was a never ending line of cars.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This place tried to scam me out of immense amounts of money!! I had an issue with my tire. After they diagnosed the issue I explained to them, they gave me a list of stuff wrong that would cost me over $1k. They tried to pressure me into making another appointment after I told them I would have to work with my next paycheck. Thankfully, I declined and said I would look at other options. I got a second opinion and look. Low and behold the only issue was loose lug nuts on my tire. I saved over $900 because of an honest mechanic. Never trust Tires Plus without a second look from someplace else!! They will quote you more than what you most likely will have to spend! Such a dishonest business practice!

After 4 bad experiences with this place, and refusing to to go there the past 5 years, i decided to give them another try. After waiting an hr past my appointment time, i left without getting my service done. 7 garage stalls, and only 1 vehicle in there. This lasted for 20 minutes, when they finally filled a few stalls with vehicles that were there longer than me. Id had enough at that point. You can only hear youre short staffed so many times!I wouldnt recommend this location to ANYONE, and i will never set foot in there again. This place hasnt changed.On a positive note, at least i walked out of there without them trying to sell me a service or repair i didnt need.

I made an appointment to replace a valve cover for an engine gasket for 8:30 AM due to a full inspection they made on the car a couple days prior. They told me the job would be done by 10 AM at the latest. Showed back up at 9:45 and they hadn’t even started on the project. Upon bringing it back to the shop, they immediately came to the front of the store and explained I would need a rebuilt engine due to the very symptoms they saw from the gasket leak. This a 2000$ difference in repairs at LEAST. They just topped off my oil and sent me on my way, despite making the appointment to have a part replaced. How would they have diagnosed the car with a leaky gasket and not noticed an engine failure? They noticed it within two minutes of bringing it back in today. Very obvious they are trying to con people into overspending. Another shop gave an entirely different diagnostic. Don’t go here if you want reliable and honest service.

I love this Tires Plus. They always treat me great and I never feel like I am being taken advantage of. They explain vehicles in laymans terms and tell me when I may have issues that they see could pose a problem in the future which lets me plan and budget for fixes.

I want to start by saying my family, going back to my mom has been a customer here for over a decade. We always came here for new tires. When my husband needed work on his car this is where we choose. The quoted us one time frame and cost, and it ended up taking 3-4 days longer than what we were told. And when we got the bill it was over $200 more than what we were quoted. When I went into the store to ask about it, I wad greeted by a rude young lady who acted like I was inconveniencing her. I reached out to Tires Plus to express my dissatisfaction and they said someone from the home office would contact me and I never heard a thing.You have now lost me and my family as a customer. And word of mouth has not, and will continue, to not be kind to you.

Was not impressed with their customer service or tactics to make me feel like I needed work done immediately (by the way they gave me a quote for almost $2800) while two other places I went to could do what was needed for under $300 and said other work detailed by this place was NOT AT ALL NECESSARY! Will never be back to this place again!

In my opinion... one of the worst automotive mechanic shops Ive ever been to. I came in around Thanksgiving (not on thanksgiving mind you) and I paid about $850 for a new rack and pinion. I left that day and the rack started leaking... so I went back and they tried to make it right however after 3 different racks and an additional $130 it was even worse from when I left the first time. The vehicle now only turns to the right, and the car is still not fixed.I went in and demanded a refund and I will NEVER EVER GO BACK TO TIRES PLUS and I would urge anyone to do the same and not go in the first place.Autotronics in Saint Peter is the way to go for any automotive needs!P.S. The short woman in the glasses is one of the worst cases of customer I have perhaps ever seen! she is very short (pun intended) with people and not very knowledgable.

Called and asked if they did diagnostics test for transmissions. Was told I should take it to AMCO, only problem is they were closed. Called back and asked if I could set up an appointment to just do a diagnostics. Was told I could drop it off and they might be able to get it in, in the next 3 hrs. Really piss poor service. Usually always take me car there, but will be looking for a new place after this!

Took my truck in for an oil change, and was told there was no oil on the dipstick and they thought my lower motor was blown. Took my truck to another mechanic for a second opinion, and they said my motor was fine and the oil level and pressure were just fine.Really sucks, because I have always had good service at this shop in the past. Pretty tough to trust a shop after misdiagnosing something as major and expensive as a blown motor.

I would avoid them at all costs the cashiers ramble on about things that make no sense which I guess is not the worst, but the tire techs simply cant seat at constant leaking been back 3 times..and dont get me started on their inability to understand Tire pressure sensors...

The primary advantage of this place is they are always open and they almost never turn you away or tell you to come back another day. However, they dont do all repairs and you do pay a premium for the convenience. Sometimes, like today when my rear brakes were dragging even when not braking, that premium is worth it.

Ripoff artists never never trust what they say and always get a second opinion. Ive saves hundreds of dallors getting a second opinion. And researching stuff online.

Our alternator was going out and the dashboard battery light was on. Since we knew our battery was older, we assumed we would have to purchase both the alternator and the battery. The tech checked out the battery and said it had more cranking power (something like that) than it was rated for and said it was not necessary to replace the battery at this time. He showed us the printout of the battery performance. I really appreciate his honesty as well as saving us $100+ at this time. Only the alternator was replaced at a reasonable price. The battery light has not come back on either and the car runs great. The tech also tightened up our loose front bumper at no charge. Thanks!

First, I would like to say I have no problem with the people who work up front. They are very nice and helpful. It is the mechanics that are the problem here. I have went to tires plus for pretty much any car repair service I have ever had done with any car I have owned. This particular Tires Plus is where I have issues. For one, in the past five months, I have probably spent about $1500 on car repairs. The first repair was a bit of a disaster.. It took longer than expected, and most of the mechanics gave up, with my car not done as promised. Luckily, one was willing to stay and fix it. But after that, I was still having symptoms that there was a problem (with the power steering). I took it in a few times, it was still leaking, but each time they just said it wasnt bothered to be cleaned up properly, which I am sure is true as well. But still, after two months it shouldnt still be dripping what wasnt cleaned up, so I asked them to look at it again during an oil change, as well as symptoms of the sway bar links being bad (which they had just previously fixed as well). They said everything looked good, and didnt address any of my concerns. They also did a tire rotation I told them not to do (I just got 4 new tires, so much for attention to detail...) I left, it was past closing, knowing I would again have to ask them to look at it again some time around my busy schedule. So a week later, I went back in, and they confirmed that both the power steering and sway bar links repairs would have to be redone, as well as some other problem costing almost $700. They obviously hadnt bothered to check the week before, and basically lied to me. Overall, just very sloppy work. And I get to deal with not having my car, AGAIN, forcing me to cancel my plans. After these repairs are done (under warranty, or I would have another place just fix these) I am done with them for good.

Worst place Ive ever been. Went there to get it serviced and get the front two tires replaced. Im going to be honest, it was for a very reasonable price which I liked. About a week late I was driving on the highway and the entire wheel fell off. This is because Tires Plus in Mankato did not tighten the lug nuts causing my entire wheel to fly right off on a dangerous highway! Thankfully I wasnt hurt and Tires Plus paid for the repair and rental car. However, when I went in the next day to discuss the event the manager was super nervous and very sketchy! Suggested I put the rental car in my Grandmas name and drive it myself (I am not 21). And also suggest they get my car to a point where it would be just derivable and wanted me to take it from there! Needless to say that my experience with Tires Plus has been one of my worst ever. DO NOT GO TO TIRES PLUS!!!
