This is so sad how the new owners have let the building get so run down. The gardens were overgrown and paint was chipping on building. No help was inside only one person working in front of store. Candy counter left with no one there. Inventory was very low not like it used to be. Not impressed at all. Too bad the old owners didnt still have it. It USED TO BE FABULOUS. NOT ANYMORE.
Very large store with lots of products to purchase. Kind and quick service. Without a doubt would recommend a visit!
We LOVE Old County Store. The kids love the penny candy so much. Their fudge, sodas, coffee, and jarred products are absolutely delicious and their store is one of the most fun places to walk throughExplore the rest of the store to find all kinds of gorgeous furniture and decor. Even things for the garden and cast iron for your kitchen!
We loved this place. I honestly thought the staff would be snobby bc we came in with 3 kids- no way- staff was super nice and helpful. The store is huge- you really dont know how big it is until you go inside. My kids loved the different types of candy and being able to fill a bucket (instead of having everything behind the counter like so many other places). They have such a cool assortment of items, from candles to seasonings, to kitchen items. Unique furniture as well, can be pricey - but stuff you wont find anywhere else. Cant wait to go back!
It was neat to take my daughter into the place where I would ride my bike to get Penny candy and show her the player pianos.
Some unique stuff been awhile since i have visitedj
Always love being here. Veru expensive beautiful Antiques and unexpected gifts and food items. Country ideas. The best in assorted fudge and penn6 candy and I havent touched the surface. BIG place. You should go. You wont be sorry! Credit, Debit and Cash excepted. Be Safe - They are very safe
We stumbled on this store as it was next door to where we had the boys haircuts. We use to have one in our town and it brought back all the feels. It was gorgeous inside and HUGE! The penny candy is my favorite oo and the pickles!!
A Very Different Type of Store.Filled with Nostalgia.Quality Goods and Pay Dearly for Them.
Have old fashion candy, and fudge, sodas. Have anqitues and reproductions signs, gadgets, plates, etc weve gone to this place many times over the years.
Lots of stuff to see if you are looking for country decor.
Was not impressed. Seemed dingy and dark. Staff seemed annoyed to help
Love it there. I live down the street so it is very convenient for me to visit.
I love shopping and browsing through the store. Everyone is polite, helpful, friendly, and professional. The furniture is beautiful, yummy chocolates of all kinds, many kitchen gadgets, preserves, gift ideas in abundance, and pictures.
The store is a cool old time feel visit....a little bit of everything some furniture, pics, candys and snacks. We came for the candy from our visits before now for the kids but the choices on the $.10 candys is very limited everything is pretty much prepared in seperate sale bags at like $2+ ea so does add up fast..... but for once in a while its fine
A great little store with an old fashioned look and feel. They have all sorts of home furnishings and knick knacks to suit every home, and a great assortment of coffee, condiments, candy, and fudge to satisfy every craving.
Remember penny candy?
I love the quality of work and all objects at the store. One-off pieces with high quality carpentry even the cookware is excellent quality
This is the second time Ive driven all the way out here based on the hours of operation posted on the website and both times they have been closed. Very disappointing.
Old time store loaded with nostalgia. Friendly and knowledgeable clerks. Just a wonderful place to visit.
Very nice country store. Lots of old and curiosity items to check out and/or buy. Jellies, jams, fudge and candies to tease you. Very friendly and helpful personal too.
I was an employee of the Old Country Store & Emporium in 2011. My mother was dying. After a traumatic visit to see my mom many states away, I returned to work and to the owners wife typical underhanded bullying.I wasnt emotionally able to withstand her bullying (she instructed other employees to not talk to me; denigrated me to them; and constantly made underhanded personal comments about my size, as Ive always been voluptuous), I asked for a few months leave of absence. After her storming around the store slamming things around, she said no, and that I would have to quit. The store had always been a favorite of mine. But now I will never step a foot back in that store unless it obtains new ownership.
Cute, Cozy, Unique.... Better than a gift shop! Everything you can need for all holidays and special occasions. A one stop shop for gifts for yourself and others. Plus lots of furniture and homemade chocolates and candies! Something for everyone!!! A candle emporium next door as well.
This is an amazing place, such a wide range of different things
So cute and lovely
Charming store with so many wonderful treasures inside. Delicious candy and homemade fudge. The staff is so friendly and helpful. My son and I go here often, it is one of our favorite places to visit.
Like a walk back in time amazing! Staff is kind and make tYou feel like coming home for a visit.
Greatest little place in the world! Wander through the endless rooms of nostalgia. Best place ever for Christmas shopping. A dozen flavors of fresh fudge available daily.
Just absolutely love it there
Candy!!! Yes lots of Candy, and all kinds of other sweets. So good. There are not any stores of this sort around. The furniture is tight and right. It is beautiful and well made.
Nice country store, very wide variety of items for sale.
So many things to see, wonderful little treasures!
I really enjoyed the classic furniture!
My family & I have been coming here for years & I do love the store but the past few times I’ve come in I’ve noticed they are scaling way back on their candy selection. That to me was the most exciting part about coming here! Also- I brought in my bf who was visiting from NH a while back & a woman working was very rude & followed us around the store insisting we use a basket when we were perfectly fine holding the 3 items we wanted to buy. She gave off this vibe that she didn’t trust us which was such an unsettling feeling especially since I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Considering these last few experiences I probably won’t be coming back here anytime soon. Definitely a shame !
This place always takes me back to when I was a kid. I love this place!
3 generations of my family grew up visiting this wonderful store. I love everything about it. The creaky, old, wide board wooden floors, the bell that rings merrily as the front door opens. The smell of the dill pickles in the barrels. The boisterous music coming from the antique player pianos....when someone drops a quarter in. The smell of the candles, the amazing, American made furniture. SOLID WOOD! The penny candy counter, the fudge, beautiful linens and decor items....ohhhh how I miss going there. I moved away after almost 50 years. 😔Looking forward to it being my FIRST stop when I head back East for a visit. Been too long.Go.... youll never regret....or forget...it! ❤
Loved it
Love this place 💕
Friendly staff. Great walk down memory lane with antiques and candy displays. Furniture, home accents and decor for sale here.
I went there this weekend with my girlfriend we had a lot of fun great place for little things that you wouldnt find in a lot of other placesThe homemade fudge and jarred asparagus its just a few things you will find exquisite. I do miss the different kind of homemade candies that they had there. If anybody is shopping down the road from Mansfield Crossing should stop here to find a hidden treasure thats been in Mansfield for over a hundred and fifty years. Thank you for still being there
Ive been going to this store since the early 1970s. I love how the new ownership keeps the same historical feel that I remember from decades ago. For anyone who appreciates country living and style, I highly recommend visiting this store and checkout the variety they have to offer.
Great old country store with some penny candy & fudge. Jars of relish & pickled veggies line the shelves. Tons of items from kitchen gadgets to beautiful furniture. They have it all.
I just love this place. I could walk around for hours. Theres so much cool stuff, furniture, antiques, decorations, cant forget the candy bar and the homemade fudge. The store owners were so nice they had complimentary coffee and I had to get a giant pickle. We will definitely be going back.
Just as I remember as a kid. Great candy and interesting gifts. A trip back in time.
Was better before it switched hands. Still wonderful to visit for the memories and pickles
Love to Country decor and goodies. The staff is very helpful and pleasant.
Always love visiting the Old Country Store. Always find something new. Always worth the trip. Friendly staff and great prices.
Enjoy seeing the things for the home.
Very neat place to buy all sorts of items from fudge to furniture.
My husband and I had pretty much decided a great fit for a small area in our home would be this beautiful table and chair set we saw at the country store. We went back to purchase it and were treat so rudely that we left.I guess Mansfield Country Store didnt need to sell a product that was priced over one thousand dollars. No problem I will go buy a table and chair set at Stickleys.
The store in itself is fun and kitsh. A lot of semi-old looking things. A fun visit until you hear an employee tell a woman shes not welcome in the store because shes holding a half pound dog in her arms. Theres a way to treat people and we felt she was overly rude toward a customer. We left without buying.
Not a real country store but a really good faux one. They have great fudge and some quality custom furniture.
Very much overpriced. If you do go there try the preserves and sandwich spreads, very good
Absolutely love love love this place. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. They remember me when i go back!! Fudge is heavanly. A fun place to get lost and walk around in. Has much more to offer than candy.
My husband and I really enjoyed coming here. There was so much to see. Will definitely make it a point to return.
I used to go here as a kid. Brings back great memories. It was always so much fun going here.
Incredible collection of quality goods. Layout is perfect for slow discovery of many gems tastefully arranged in their many rooms.
A wonderful place to spend an afternoon. Take young adults to appreciate items they do not see everyday. Try the homemade fudge.
Best store I have been to in this area. Handmade quality from candy to candles to furniture. Great people.
Awesome store, great selection of candy, home made items, gifts, collectibles and trinkets. I highly recommend a visit even if just to browse.
Got alot of very cool stuff a little pricey but very cool
Have been going to Old Country store for many years and always love it.
1 of many places I like to visit at least a few times per yr.- like Once Every Season. Lots of nice gifts, foods, teas, syrups, bread mixes, jams, crackers, cookies, candy, sodas & other cold drinks, chips & other salty snacks, rock candy, peanut brittle etc., toys, furniture, fudge & truffles, penny candy counter, kitchen wares & many accessories, greeting cards, paper& cloth calendars, salt& pepper shakers, cast ironware, metal signs, wood signs, candles, lamps, shades & accessories, trinkets, old fashioned things, garden & yard, ladies scarves, purses, etc.& soaps & toiletries, Crabtree & Evelyn, 2 coin operated pianos, knobs for cabinets & draws, glass sun window hangings, bird feeders & wood stoves, kettles, & so much more ! And a Yankee Candle Shop outside- separate from the Country Store. A nice place to visit.
Great place to take your time and really look around you might find some great treasures
Nice place to walk around. A bit expensive for most things. The fudge is amazing and so are the dill pickles from the barrel.
Our doctor told us about this store four months ago. We finally made the trip today. Great variety of items. Its looks so small from the outside, that I was disappointed, until I went inside. It has many different rooms to browse.
Rude service!!! Will never shop here again.
Love to visit the Emporium when were in town visiting family! Always something unique to pick up!
This is one of my favorite places. I always stop in when visiting from VA. They always stock interesting and unique items.
Not as good as it used to be but, okay.
A bit pricey but a gorgeous store. It looks small from the outside but it is really big when you get inside. They have everything from fudge to furniture.
I have been going since I was a kid, now i take my kids there. This store is great, dont change a thing.
Old fashioned atmosphere. So fun to walk around. Get a pickle!
Been going here for almost 25 years. Nothing really changes, but its still a fun visit. Definitely recommended if you are visiting from outside New England.
I could spend hours in this place. The wide collection of items for sale and on display is awsome.
The most awesome place to get candy from decades and decades ago!!! Yummy...
Antique furniture an old time signs this country store is nestled in the back roads of Mansfield. You could get fudge Penny Candy or simply walk around and check out all the paintings and antiques love this place
Its a fun place to browse dont forget the pickle barrel..and fudge
Love the store! So many unique things💓
I went there as a kid and it was nice to bring my kids there and the staff was very friendly and eager to help me find what exactly what I was looking for
Very cute country store, the type of store you would find in NH.
Best place to visit for memories
Super fun shop to visit, they have so many great things and the place is huge!
Best store to close my Christmas shopping travels⛄🌦

A little taste of the past. Furniture, groceries, and homemade fudge and pickles.
