Kind people. Excellent service. Met a couple of employees who were very kind. Young gentleman who has worked there for 5 years and a woman (manager) who helped us get the correct pricing and loaded the equipment in the car. I wish I knew there names... 1 little carousel of bicycle parts and repair equipment. No gear or brake cables at all. Thought this was a sporting good store. Perhaps bicycling isnt a sport????

I do enjoy coming here. They always have a pretty good selection but with the whole world being wonky, they dropped down in supplies and what-not. Either way, the ladies over there are always cool and are a big help.I went by and purchased a sleeping bag for some camping trips coming up. The bag is really heavy duty. I did spend a bit for it getting shocked with the price. (Obviously on the inside lol) Showing a slight bit of pain from the price, I snagged it up. Im really glad I did! There are a few things I would recommend here and Im not sure if it is just a big 5 thing or a brands thing. Id recommend this store for great customer service. And Id recommend the brands I purchase from there. *Under Armor* (Which can be at a few other places.)I would like to see some more camping stuff in store but I do understand it isnt a camping store. So take that with a grain of salt when shopping for camping gear.Thanks Everyone over there!

Big 5 Sporting Goods is my go to store for all things sport and work related...I have bought everything from my daughters basketball court to work boots from there.In addition the have great daily sales for E~Team members, excellent customer service and a great return policy. I highly recommend Big 5 Sporting Goods.

Nice spot to find snow gear. Found some darts for dart board. Plus a head band and gloves to keep too keep u warm. In cold winter days

I love Big 5 but here in California its a little disappointing because they dont sell ammo or firearms which is kind of a bummer but I understand Californias got issues with illegal gun activity but why did the law abiding citizens have to pay the price but otherwise a great place to shop

Was able to get two pairs of running shoes on clearance. Yeee. Would have spent $150, instead I spent $60. Yes!!

This is my favorite Big 5, I am glad that I have this store in my neighborhood. They have a lot of variety of items in all the sections. The store manager Tylor is extremely helpful person. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. We got all our sports goods including tennis, fishing items, Kayaking etc from this store. I recommend this store if any one who is looking for specific items. They spend time with customers to help based on our specific needs. I wish all the stores be like this. For us it’s a pleasant trip to this store always. 😊

First time I walked in and the store was busy. Good sales on quality items if youre not big on name brands. Good fishing gear selection considering bass pro shops Is on the other side of the freeway. Friendly staff.Try to park close to the store. Too many homeless ppl in the strip mall.

Went to purchase a butane stove. Clerk was not helpful. He didnt know his product. I wanted a comparison between the propane vs butane. He didnt know. I bought my butane stove elsewhere. Prices are extremely high. Can get the same quality elsewhere for a cheaper price.

Place is jam packed full of sporting gear. Small location but lots of good stuff! Picked up some cheap waterproof footwear for my sons science camp trip today, and got some darts, and a small flashlight. Grabbed up some ping-pong balls for beerpong new years Eve, and always tend to find something unique there. Like to return so we can keep them here and close! Do the same!

Everything is fantastic, only place Ive bought shoes in a couple decades. Only downfall is their silly one day sales. Really, one day. I cant begin to count the times I spotted something I really would love to get, the next day, too funny. Go in and say hey couldnt make it yesterday but can I still get the sale and nope, sales over. Bummer. So now delete delete delete before looking!

Came looking for a gift for my nephew and came out with more than I expected. This is long over due to make a review but I wanted thank Josh for helping me find my size and the excellent clientele. I can finally play better with my team this coming week. My volleyball shoes have seen high school and now college. Im so happy I also got to relate to their employee at this location. Every time I shop big 5 it feels like the employees are too busy or behind the cashwrap I can never find any help. A big shout out to Josh V. !! (:

Big 5 is a cool place to go they have a huge variety of items to look thru. Went on one of their sales and the guy that helped us was awesome made sure I was happy with what I was getting.

Thankful they are still around! Yet they need to update and have more stock on popular items

Its a must shop store for what you need for camping or just to stock up on wilderness supply!

Smaller store but always well stocked. Needed swim trunks right before thanksgiving... And they still had some. Awesome.

Good customer service. Also a goods selection of water toys.

Good size selection of stuff. A bit on the pricey side, but can catch stuff on sale for good deals. Only place that ever has ammo on sale, so I like to get my personal defense rounds here, a lot cheaper than bass pro that way.

Stood around in the same place looking at guns and knives for about 10 minutes. No one approached, no one said a word. If these guys get paid based on commision, I would have to assume they are broke. Its pretty bad when you end up getting shown more attention two stores down at the Goodwill Store. At least they were genuinely concerned that I might try to steal something!

Showed up around noon on black Friday. Employees were friendly and helpful. They still had everything i wanted in stock. The only thing i dont like about this store is that the aisles are narrow and its difficultfor multiple people to walk around.

This is my go to place for most things outdoors. They are always rotating stock so if they dont have it now, they might later. The shoe process are good too. You cant beat the shoe sales.

Had to wear a mask while other retailers arent requiring it. I probably will spend my money somewhere else.

Went to go buy a pair of shoes. The lady came out to tell me that I was not allowed in the store without a mask. There was no sign that stated masks were required. The lady was not wearing hers correctly anyways. Tell your stores to post a sign.

Finally found a Big 5 Near Lathrop that is off Main Street, Manteca across from Safeway. It is hard to see from the street. I found some ear plugs and flippers for swimming that I have needed.

This is in reference to the one in Manteca there is a bug eyed lil bald short man that will lie to your face . . . Avoid him find what u r there for on your own

Always great customer service and great prices be wary of the products you have to double check to make sure that they are top quality I bought some water guns for me in my kids to go to the river and they were not even put together correctly would not hold water 1st time use
