Great place for hobby supplies and some organizational items. Helpful and knowledgeable staff too. The cashiers can be backed up sometimes. Dont forget your military or teacher ID for discounts!

Line to check out was very long. When I got in the libe there were 3 cashiers then one left. Neither remaining were close to working fast. I stayed in line as I wasnt in a rush and I needed a few things.

This place has EVERYTHING youll need for crafting! All the supplies. Just not fabric on bolts but there is a small selection of yard fabric. So many project kits too. I bought all my Christmas gifts there this year! They have so many great deals each week! I had to download the app so I could use even more discountsand see more promotions.They have all the BEAUTIFUL spring flowers out too!*checking out can take a little time so patience is good to bring. 😄

I have ordered a custom frame from Michael’s and I will never repeat the mistake again. After 4 phone call and follow ups (from no response from them) I have decided to take my business else where. I talked to the Customer Service Manager Rob Dahn today. I don’t think he knows anything about customer service. He practically told me that my time is not important and so does my business to him.

If I could put zero out of five stars I would. My brother and I showed up at 8am to purchase wrapping paper on sale the day after Christmas and when we arrived we were told Michael’s will not open it’s doors until 9am. BOTH online and the sign posted in the store window stated “special holiday hours opening at 8am”. My brother and I were NOT the only people who showed up at 8am; there were at least 10 other people waiting as well. This error proceed all of us to leave therefore Michael’s lost a great deal of business which continue.

Great staff! They were so helpful when I had a hard time finding what I needed. The Maple Grove store is a nice big store that is very organized and clean.

I can understand being busy. However, speaking as someone who works retail AND deals with buy online, pickup in store/curbside... It should NOT take THREE days to PICK an order (of 1 item) nor should it take 30+ minutes to DELIVER that order curbside... I have ordered online on THREE different occasions (both around a holiday and not) and the result is the same. This Michaels need to step up their game as far as online shopping, in store pickup.

Not impressed with this store. The items I did purchase I was overcharged for. Wont be returning.

Ordered 5 cookie cutters online. It says 2 hours to fill. Waited all day, called there, told 7 -8 days. What? I get you are busy but why state 2 hours then. I ended up going there and asked for manager, nice lady with walker to go get my cookie cutters, only took a couple minutes because they were in the aisle near front of store. Only a few minutes later, she comes back with 4 of the 5 One of them says they had 24 in the store by she could not find that one, took it off the bill and on I went. Now, I get but ask orders are quick and simple, and u get it is Christmas, and i get that we are in a pandemic and hard to find Good workers, what i dont get is why does it say 2 Hours? I would have gone there in the morning when i placed the order instead of waiting all day.

Super long line to check out

The day I was here the line for the check out was VERY long. no problem, the reason for 2 stars is because The Lady at the front of the store yelling thank you for your patience, we know the line is long were going as fast as we can was more annoying than waiting in the line. (Which wasnt annoying at all actually)

A very kind gentleman at the store came out to help us clean a vase we found shattered on the side wall, someone had just kicked it into a corner, but he was nice enough to help gather pieces and sweep up the smaller shards.

I drop some pictures on 09/22 and they told me that they were going to be ready on 10/06.I called on 10/05 they told me that they were going to be done on 10/06 ... I stopped by the store on 10/06 and they were not ready, they were behind and the told me for the end of the day I can pickup. I come back on 10/07 and the same. Today 10/08 I stopped again and nothing. I asked for my pictures and a refund and the lady all rude told me they were going to be done today. If a customer asked you for refund and their picture, you give them their thing and don’t give an attitude. You were 3 days behind and you didn’t even called to let us know.Very disappointed with this Michaels

Michaels is my go-to for crafting supplies, and this location is especially great. The customer service is great, and theres always a staff member around the corner to address with any questions!My only issue with this location is that the shelves can be a bit disorganized, especially in the art supplies area where all the pens are displayed, and sometimes in the yarn section, as well. I hope my comment will bring the store managements attention to the issue so it can be improved upon.Overall, lovely establisment! I recommend it!

Brought my daughters here so we can craft our faces off one Saturday. The checkout line was impressively long, but the pounded it out quickly. This is a very nice store and team.

The store is good. It has everything that a crafts store should have, including a decent seasonal selection. I am not the most artsy or crafty person, but I get weird projects in my head that I just have to do because I cant stop thinking about it until i do it... that being said, weird projects require weird tools, and 9 times out of 10 I can find it here. The only thing that I can say that I dont like about the store is that it a little cramped (but that really cant be helped) and i think there are only 2 or 3 registers, so it can be a bit of a wait to check out if it is busy.

Usually stocked well, the store feels kind of crowded but thats just because they dont waste space. Id rather go to a cramped craft store that has everything I need instead of a big open one that is never stocked (ahem Joanns ahem).

Love Michaels! I am giving this Michaels 4 stars for three reasons: 1) its too small 2) its organized differently than some of the other Michaels Ive been to, so I cant find things as readily and 3) when Im trying to find things, theres never anyone around to ask!That being said, when I have gotten help, the help has been excellent. The checkout line has just been set up so its more consistent with other Michaels stores, which is helping with efficiency at checkout. I have always been able to get what I need at this store, but again, its just a little small so the selection in some areas isnt as varied.

Michaels custom matted and mounted prints in my moms antique picture frames. They spent time with us to get the colors and dimensions of the mattes perfect. The results were spectacular.

I was picking up an online order placed with the store. The order was very recently placed, and wasnt yet ready to be picked up when I arrived. The manager was helpful on grabbing the ordered items while I waited a couple minutes. The only issues I had were that the person operating the register was having difficulties getting logged into their online order system to locate the order, and the process is not integrated into the POS system that they use in their registers and they do not have a self-service kiosk to check in for online orders.

Looking for something wasnt asked if I needed help.

Its a michaels. it has art supplies and framing, both of which are pretty decent for most people.

The experience could have been better if there were more workers to help you. I went to three different Michaels BC, Ply, and MG. Wanted to pick up more yarn to finish a project. First couldnt get the yarn didnt have it in at any of the stores and second couldnt get help to even ask if any was coming in. I did try to fine an employee with no luck because of so few of them. And to top it off the yarn department was a mess. With open packages with low supply of yarn.

Great service, and had everything I went there for. I got 60% off, my most expensive item thank to an online coupon and 25% off the rest of my purchase. Join their website for great coupons, and deals. Im into several mediums and they almost always have what I need. The service as a said is top notch. When I couldnt find the item I needed, one of staff went in back to look for what I needed, and volunteered to get it to boot. Great experience.

Love the arts and crafts

Whenever I need craft supplies, which is quite often, my number one crafting go-to is Michaels, no matter what city I happen to be in at the time. This store in Maple Grove receives 4 stars from me. The only reason I do not give it a 5 star review is because I feel that they no longer seem to carry the amount of holiday paper crafting supplies they once did. Also, I have noticed that there is very seldom anything new and different especially in the specialty papers and cardstock options.When it comes to getting the basic supplies for all of my crafting needs, I am still quite satisfied and will continue to do my shopping here...especially when I have a coupon in my wallet!

The store itself is great for what they carry in selection and what they offer in coupons. The service is not that great as no matter how many times I have gone no one really ever knows how to direct you even to the minimum of the right section. I believe that if more training in knowing the areas of the store were memorized more it could assist in more people locating what they are looking for. I always go on a scavenger hunt and when I have the time no problem but when I do not it is quite bothersome.

They had some yarn at a good price.

Very nice and clean store. The framing department is extremely helpful and willing to help navigate budgets and what would work best. Lots of clearance throughout the store.

Absolute worst customer service Ive experienced. I try to have patience with companies and be understanding but after them not following through on two promises (to have my order ready and when Ill recieve my refund) and horrible customer service throughout it all, I have completely lost all patience for Michaels. I placed an order onlike the other day to do a craft night. Online it said if I order it by 3 it is guaranteed that your order will be ready for pickup before the store closes at 6. I called in at 5 since I still hadnt recieved a confirmation email that my order was ready and they said there was 14 orders ahead of mine and its possible itll be pushed out to the next day. I told them I only ordered it because it was guaranteed online I could recieve it that day and they said they were really busy so there isnt anything they can do. I asked to be refunded if they couldnt fulfill my order and they said I need to call in to do that. I called back at 5:45 to see if it was ready and they said it was ready but they hadnt sent out the email that it was ready (how was I supposed to know?) So I asked if they could wait 15 minutes after they close at 6pm to so I can come pick it up since I live a half hour away. They said no and I would have to get it in the morning. I called the number I was told to call to get a refund and it told me I need to go online. I went online and waited about 10 minutes in chat then got kicked off the chat after the system timed out. I went on again and waited about 45 minutes to speak with someone and they told me they would have my refund processed within 3-5 business days. After 5 business days I still hadnt recieved a refund so I went to the chat again and they submitted a case since no one was available to help and said I can check the case email to see the process. They never sent a case email so after another day or 2 I went online to the chat again and I am currently waiting with over 100 people a head of me. Absolutely the worst customer service experience Ive had. Michaels is great for crafts but based on the service Ive had and the minimal help I wont be shopping here again. I reccomend Hobby Lobby (or even Target / Walmart they have the same types of products normally for cheaper)

Wonderful staff.

Checkout is always painfully slow. Im unsure if its Michaels in general or this store in particular. Waited for four minutes while employees chatted at register before they started to check me out. If they had chatted while doing so it wouldnt of been an issue but waiting for their casual conversation to end was maddening. Go to Hobby Lobby or Big lots. Better prices, better checkout and between the the two of them youre likely to find all the same stuff.

Your website says to check hours of operation regularly for changes. It said friday 9am to 7pm. 6pm they were announcing they were closed. Please update your hours of operation

Researched Sakura Permapaque markers and visited M.G. store based on that information, this store only carried the Gel Pens in the Sakura brand, internet advice not so hot on availability.

Very helpful customer service. The custom framing employee was very helpful in costing the right mat and frame. She did not try and push me into more expensive options and she understood that I was on a limited budget.

I liked this store. It had a lot of interesting items.

I went to Michaels to get a non-toxic washable paint. Aka kids paint. I asked 3 different employees and they either led me to acrylic paint (toxic) or they said they don’t have anything like that. I knew that wasn’t true and I was honestly so surprised that none of the employees could help me find such a simple request. Another customer overheard me talking and eventually pointed me in the right direction. Very disappointed with the customer service and how the employees are clueless when it comes to what they are selling.
