The cashier I had was relatively new and he was amazing! A few things did not want to ring up with the customer in front of me but he handled it like a champ. He had a fantastic attitude and that made this shopping experience that much better. As a former cashier, I always appreciate when I see others that have a positive outlook.

4 stores which show at least 6 of an item in stock go to 3/4 and not a single one in stock. This is not the first time. Fix your websites inventory so the customer knows what you actually have. 2 dont buy anything gasoline powered if you expect any sort or warranty through the store. Better off buying used in that department. And your rebates are just gift certificates. Not actual rebates.
I greatly prefer Menards to HD or Lowes. It is much easier to find assistance at Menards. The 11% rebate plan is a throwback to the 50s or 60s but it does save money.
Lack of store signaling and location references on app makes it cumbersome to find things on store. Crew very helpful and good prices though
Today my wife and I were assisted by Kent U. in the building supplies are. He assisted us in designing a deck platform for a tent and quoted us the details of what was required and their SKUs. He was very knowledgeable and patient with our inexperience. All employees should be like Kent. I will probably seek him out with any future projects I need assistance with. What a pleasure it was. I just dealt with your Maple Grove location, and the customer service was TERRIBLE!!!! Do NOT give this store your business or any Menards your business until they make this right with their customers. Backstory is we had ordered a tub surround online because it was out of stock in store. We needed a different one and went to the store to return it and buy tile for it instead from them. The customer service rep Erica said that there would be a 25% charge for restocking which would have been 155$. When we ordered online there was nothing on the order that said this, we even had the customer service person look at the email because they said it would be right there. It was hidden in a link that you have to click and you had to scroll several pages down to even find that hidden charge. In fact it doesnt even say this when clicking to purchase the item. This is deceiving to your customers. Another service rep at Maple Grove Menards Janet Neely had come over and said that a pop up comes up to say before you click purchase that says you agree to the 25% restocking fee. That had never happened. So I had pulled it up on their website and went to place the order in front of them to show that it does not happen. Before I went to click purchase I had asked Janet again, will it for sure pop up that a 25% restocking fee will happen if we return the order? So that way I can see if it comes up and I will have to confirm it before it places this 900$ order again? She said, yes it will prompt you to do that and show that a 25% fee will be charged, and you agree to it before your order goes through. Well guess what?! It did not pop up and the transaction went through for a SECOND tub surround that I did not need or want. So their customer service employee Janet lied straight to my face knowing that it would charge me again. And guess what?! They cant even cancel or return this order that I just make. All that the manager said at this point was that I have to respond to the confirmation email and say I want the order cancelled, but when I did that I didnt even get a response. I ask for the general manager at this point and so he comes down and his me is David Finnegan, we tell him what happened and all he said to his employee lying to someone else and causing a huge inconvenience is sorry and that we can call corporate and speak to someone there. We ask for the corporate number and they gave us the number to the Cheyenne Menards, so not even corporate. We finally got ahold of the corporate Menards and we have to leave a voicemail and that someone will email us. So again the staff at Maple Grove Menards lie to us and said we could speak to someone over the phone and we cant even do that.If you want to buy from a company that treats customers terrible and deceives them with hidden fees, then by all means give them the business, but we were not the only one in there that night who was complaining about hidden fees. So you know they dont advertise it properly when people purchase items. BUYERS BEWARE!!!
Kinda disappointed that the door for the nursery area was locked at 9am when I was trying to buy 15 bags of rocks. Had to push the flatbed through the whole store ( Im sure I needed the workout anyway). Good thing was I didnt have to wear a mask cuz Im fully vaccinated. That felt weird. Nice to see things are getting back to normal again. 😀

I went in to buy door locks and was immediately assisted by an associate named Randall. He was very helpful answering my questions about the different kinds of locks. What was really fantastic was he asked if I would need more copies of keys for the locks and assisted me with this as well. When I picked up my keys, he also suggested that if I needed any more copies, that there was a key cutter conveniently in the store and pointed it out to me. Awesome job Menards MG!
The absolute worst customer service ever. I’ve tried giving this place a chance time and time again and I’ve been consistently disappointed in the customer service. You can never find anyone to help you and when you do find someone they are extremely rude.

I had received two bad gallon of paint - it had the consistency of water - so I called the store, spoke to a manager and explained the problem. She had me bring the paint back to the store and mixed new paint for me from a different brand to make sure I wouldnt have the same problem going forward. Great customer service!!

The employees here are super helpful and go out of their way to take you to the actual item. They even helped me look up things online to complete my home improvement project. Products are inexpensive. The store itself is not beautiful but very functional. The employees make the difference. I’d recommend this store!

I dont really get this store, there is masks and gloves all over the parking lot (BIOHAZARD!!)They make everyone wear a mask yet the bathrooms are dirtier than prison. I walked in with an employee, she used the stall next to me, this is what I found when I came out. She didnt flush or wash her hands/gloves. Disgusting people here

I went into this location today to exchange an item, do to it being wrong. My kids and I walked in and their greeter told myself and my kids that we needed a mask. We only wanted to return/exchange an item. No plans on actually shopping in the store. Even after I told her that she kept insisting that we needed a mask, I told her to calm down and I told my kids to follow me inside. The customer service employees returned my item, and I asked them if they could exchange the item (just a simple piece of wood) and they told me no and that I had to go back to the desk to order the piece of wood then had to stand in line to purchase it. So because we had no intention of shopping at the store we did not bring masks with us. They proceeded to tell me that I needed to purchase masks for myself and my three kids. I told them that I had no problem wearing a mask, but I was not going to pay $.90 for each of us. Then they told me that I could leave my children at the front by the doors and I could buy a mask for myself and walk to the lumber desk to be able to order the piece of wood I needed. I told them that I am not leaving my kids by themselves as they are not old enough to be left alone. So they had their manager and that I would have to talk to him. So I told him that I was not going to leave my kids by themselves and that they could exchange my board right then and there. I will never shop at this location. I mean who tells a single mother to leave her children unattended.
5 stars for making all customers wear masks. 5 stars for having everything I needed in stock. 5 stars for the low interaction checkout process. No one even has to hand you a receipt. Oops! I forgot to grab my rebate form. No worries. You can print one online. I hate that I have to mail something through the USPS, but... someone has to keep the USPS in business, I guess.
Nice job on enforcing mask policy. A lady tried to come in the store without a mask and they stopped her at the door. More stores need to not worry about pissing people off and enforce the policy. Maybe Home Depot can learn from Mendards.

Not real impressed with this place I went there for rock salt needed 5 bags was told to leave the bags in store by the exit and go get my vehicle (by the cashier ) and someone would bring it to my car and help me load it . It was during a snow storm needed it now for snow removal.Went to the exit where I was instructed to leave it to go pick it up and nobody brought it out had to go to the door and got a dirty look from the guy that was standing at the cart to bring my salt out because I didnt go to the entrance door I went to the exit door where it was sitting where I was instructed to leave it even seen the dirty look through the so-called required mask that you have to wear to even just go in there

Their products are good. However, their customer service is terrible. The employees were very rude and unwilling to help me. Although I followed all the necessary instructions for Covid-19, they were extremely rude and unhelpful towards myself and multiple other customers. I highly suggest you do not go here and choose a different store. Target, for instance, has much friendlier and more helpful employees.

Now I’m not one to complain or make a scene but the world has to know! So I have a medical condition, so I shouldn’t have to wear a mask. I walk in after reading on the official Menards website that I don’t have to wear a mask. Wrong! Two men stopped me and I argued with them. Like what’s a bandana going to do to protect you against covid? The men then told me to buy a mask after I spent 1,000$ there last week! I also mentioned how what if an older man with an oxygen tank came in, would he have to wear a mask? They still said yes! Unbelievable. I asked for their manager John and got corporates number. I will be shopping at Home Depot from now on. Patio set was epic!

Menards does come in clutch when it comes to hard to find odds and ends. I wouldnt shop here for quality tools. I would feel better about spending more of my hard earned money at Menards if the company wasnt owned by a tyrant, (seriously, look up John Menard if you are bored with Netflix during the pandemic) and therefore I give Menards 2.5 stars.

The guy behind the customer service desk acted as if I was bothering him when I had a question, and the guy in the paint area couldnt be less interested in helping people.Part 2: I moved my score down to a 1 star review after having an awful experience. I purchased lumber and then paid for it at the front cash register before making my way to the lumberyard. After packing my vehicle with the wood and making my way out of the lumberyard, the gate attendant told me that I had to park my vehicle in the lumberyard and go to customer service because my order was invalid. At this point I had already paid for my wood.At customer service, a young man named Steven and then an older gentleman named William both accused me of not paying for my wood, despite both holding my receipt for the wood in their hands. What had happened was the front cashier manually entered my lumber order incorrectly (why he didnt scan it, I dont know) so even though the order was what I had requested on paper, I paid an alternate price due to him entering the amount incorrectly.I understand things can get lost in translation. I wasnt happy about having to spend an hour out of my day to rectify this. What really bothers me is that at no point was I offered an apology from anyone at customer service, especially after the insinuation that I was trying to steal wood.I will say that the gate attendants in the lumberyard were both apologetic.

Unlike HD Menards provides actual customer service. I don’t have to hunt down employees.Employees are pleasant & will walk me to product rather than point. They also know their product & will come up will suggestions when I explain what I am trying to build. I love Mr. Menards bargains. What a marketing tool. I always seem to come home with more than I went for. Love than I can also pick up milk or cereal or ribs...

Terrible experience. Will never order from or go into a Menards again. Ive had an order in for six weeks and said they dont pull items until two days before so many items were out of stock. Terrible online experience as well.
I was a regular at Menard I use to like it there. But not so much now since covid.
Everything is as usual, carts are cleaned, checkout are sanitized. Masks are worn by everyone.

I had questions regarding restocking fees for special orders and asked to speak to a manager. John came to talk to me and was rude from the get-go. He made comments that it was my bad judgement that resulted in my need to return them. He also said I should infer for online orders that if its shipped to store, its a special order. Hmm...or maybe it means theyre out of stock? Never once an apology for any confusion, etc. Just pompous attitude and smart a** comments the entire interaction. It ended with a sarcastic thumbs up by him when I said Id be contacting customer service. Ill choose a different store next time.

When a customer walks up to an employee at any computer in any department asking where something is, that employee should look it up and help that customer. Instead I was told that it wasnt in his department even tho there were two employees just standing there doing nothing. No offer to help me at all. I also was asked by another employee if I needed help and she just sent me to another department totally confused by what I was asking for, instead of using the computer to look it up. Isnt that what the computers are for! I totally wasted my time in your store. Unimpressed with the poor customer service.

This location did a remodel in start of 2019. Much cleaner and more organized now. Their shelving section in the front right corner is very nice. Now if they would just get rid of that stupid turnstyle at the entrance from 1980.
Love how close this home is to restaurants near bike paths and parks. You can tell this city has tax dollars that is heavily focused its funding into beautiful parks and landscaping. Driving through is a shame and should be experienced on a bicycle. :)
Apparently they have changed their policy to MUST wear a mask...totally fine but as I was walking in the was no obvious signage indicating and the RUDE older guy working door snapped at me telling you have to have a mask....I had one just didnt know it was required and would gladly put on but no need to be rude poor poor customer service I walked out and went to Home Depot
