I have stopped at this location many times for help the girl I think she is the manager there is amazing! IFeel bad because I feel like she is there all the time and it seems no matter how overwhelmed she is she always tries to keep a smile and make the experience positive. I live the service I get when I can get service but target needs to do a better job of having peopleHelp in optical.
One of the nose pads fell off my glasses, so Ive been wearing them without one pad for a week. I did try to put it back on but dang those screws are tiny and w/o my glasses on it was impossible task. As I was leaving Target last night I noticed the Optical Shop and stopped in to see if they could help me out. The lady was so nice, she put two new nose pads on and cleaned my glasses for me at no charge. I very much appreciate the fast, friendly service.
So, I seriously have never written a review for somewhere, but this optical has just been incredibly frustrating to work with. The main person (I forget her name name now) was constantly on her personal cell phone, had a horrible attitude, and didn’t answer the phone while I was sitting there with contacts. The doctor gave me the wrong prescription and type of contacts which I didn’t find out until several weeks of migraines and having to see another eye doctor. The process of getting a refund was several hours, several phone calls, and a lot of waiting. I am grateful I got a refund, but it took several weeks to find the person who was supposed to do it. Finally, while I was getting my refund, it was perfectly clear I had moved out of state because I couldn’t return the faulty contacts, and this year, I’m getting several reminders of an eye exam in a state I no longer live in. To top it all off, I’ve already called and left a voicemail, because they didn’t answer, saying I needed to cancel my appointment, and I’m still receiving reminder phone calls and texts of my upcoming appointment. I hate to be so negative, but the constant drag of working with Maple Grove Target Optical will not end.
My husband and I both ordered glasses. On OCTOBER 9!Each had to be resent out to fix bifocal lines. He received his new pair 2 weeks ago, I still have not received mine. Whenever I call, they say they are on the next delivery, still havent received them.
Wonderful experience with Target Optical of Maple Grove! I highly recommend their services!
Location is very small and thier selection of frames is even smaller! I was shopping for glasses for my 7 year old son, they only had 5 selections to choose from. VERY SAD! I left and went to Costco and was able to purchase 3 pairs of prescription eyewear for $200.00. Costco had 3 dozen options for my son to choose from.
The staff were very helpful and were able to explain different options with and without insurance
I did something simple. I called to see if I was due for an appointment. I was first hung up on twice without a hello. Then I got through and was asked if I could hold for a minute. 15 minutes later I was asked what I was calling for (a simple check of my last appointment), 5 minutes later I was told that they would have to call me back with an answer within an hour. 24 hours later I still havent received a response. May be time to make a switch!
Very pleased with the glasses but we had horrible customer service. I ordered 2 pairs of glasses on 4/30. On 5/6 I received a text that my order was ready and went to pick them up on 5/7. Only one of the pairs was there. I was told that you get a text for each pair, not for the stated order. I liked the driving glasses enough to order sunglasses. I called on 5/13 asking about the reading glasses. The woman was snippy until she realized that 2 weeks had gone by since the original order. She said shed call back later that day to let me know what was going on. I never heard from her again. On 5/14 I received 2 texts letting me know the order was in. I went to pick them up and only the sunglasses were in. I was told the reading glasses had been canceled and reordered and that they should be in today or tomorrow. Im having the reading glasses sent to the Champlin store. I would go back to Target Optical but not this location.5/22 Additional information. I had called Champlin 2 days ago and was told they would find out where the glasses are and would call me back later that day. Today I received a call from Maple Grove to let me know the glasses were in. I asked for them to be mailed to Champlin. I should be able to pick them up next week. Currently we are at 23 days for a simple pair of reading glasses. Im glad I didnt have an urgent need to have a pair replaced.5/25 The saga continues. Yesterday the eyeglass cases for my daughter and I became sticky on the outside and smelled like rotting fish inside. My daughter took them to the Blaine store to exchange them. The woman was horrified by the smell and exchanged them for new ones. She got to the parking lot, noticed they were starting to smell and gave them back. Too bad, the little Target symbol was cute. They did replace them with non Target cases.
I scheduled my appointment online that showed I was supposed to see Dr. Wieber. When I got there Dr. Murphy was there instead. She did the eye exam but that is all. She did not make me feel at ease and barely offered a smile. I would not return to her.
Love them! They have amazing customer service. I drive from Elk River to go here
Great service and great prices
