These people were fun and the store is much more organized since the last time I was in. And they have staff including a new manager. So much better than the last time I was in!
The worst experience my husband and I have ever had. Nobody knows what is going on in that store! They could not figure out our insurance, they were very unprofessional when they called the help line and everyone could hear what they were saying in the store, they could not give us pricing on anything we wanted to order. After the first visit we rescheduled because it was getting busy and they wanted more time looking into insurance, then when we came back for the revisit they never scheduled us and the lady wasnt even there! We grabbed our prescription and got the heck out of dodge.
Customer service was great until they messed up explaining what my benefits would cover. They said that I would have to pay for the eye exam and contact lens exam out of pocket and that my insurance would cover the products. When it came time to order the products, I had to pay for that out of pocket too.
Had an appointment. Went in and told me they are behind and it was about 1.5 hour wait. I had the option to reschedule or wait. I rescheduled and didn’t get upset but thought why they didn’t call me or a text since they already texted me about appointment. Went in and did my exam chose out my glasses and left. Went back in to go get my glasses and it’s blurry no measurements were taken so they had to send it back to get measured. Two weeks later I have not gotten my glasses and I call really upset and they told me I had picked it up on a day I wasn’t even near the store. So I ask to speak to a manager or a supervisor this heather lady tells me they don’t have anyone watching over them. I’m livid!! So now I’m waiting for them to “investigate”
Wasnt impressed with the service. I dont like looking at frames and when I went to look at glass frames no one really wanted to help me pick out something. Also, the video set up was not impressive. I dont believe they figured out the right prescription on my old glasses and there was confusion about my progressive lens. I will not be back.
Their customer service is great. Schedule an appointment if you can but I just showed up and they were able to fix my glasses. Kudos to the crew and team.
Terrible place to get ur exam. They have now started doing telehealth. The system they used is ridiculously waste of money. If you can’t get your system together, stop setting up appointments. It just looks bad on ur company. And this whole video exam is not cutting it for you doctors. If we are taking the time out of our lives to get these exams, you should be there too. So unprofessional!
Employees are rude and not knowledgeable about the equipment they use like Video systemic computers. Very unorganized, will not be back.
It took over 3 hours for the appointment, over a month to get contacts.
We had a really great experience with Renee at Visionworks yesterday. She was fun to work with and knowledgable. She made us feel like she really cared and wanted to help us find the right glasses for my wife. Thanks again!!!
Yoshanna (and all the gals there) were so fabulous to work with! They helped my mom with her glasses and then helped me the following week with mine. They gave honest opinions on how different glasses and styles looked and were very friendly throughout the entire process. It’s definitely not the closest Visionworks to where I live but I’m happy to make the drive for the great service they offer!
This team was amazing! Both my fiancé and I had our appointments there and we very much enjoyed our experience. They were super helpful and very fun to chat with. We will definitely be back!
Tawny was incredibly helpful. She walked me through picking out glasses that fit me best look-wise and was super patient! The exam itself was thorough and the person doing my exam was professional, answering any and every question I had. Probably the best experience Ive ever had getting an exam and glasses. I would give ten stars if I could!
Every time I come to vision works, it’s always a great experience! I’m always greeted by a huge smile when I walk through the doors. Especially Kassi. She’s always so helpful when I’m there. I tell her what I like and don’t like and she would always find me glasses that would suit my tastes. A great experience and great staff.
The staff is wonderful! Theyre friendly and very helpful!! They didnt waste my time either, got me in and out in a timely manner, which I very much appreciated.The selection of frames is amazing, so many to choose from! No matter your taste, youll be able to find something to make you happy.
It was my first time at Visionworks and it was an amazing experience. Their frame selection is a lot more affordable and diverse than most. I felt like they really took the time to help me choose glasses that were catered to my needs. Would recommend everyone to do business with them!

Ive got my glasses from here for the last few years. I use the buy one get one free without insurance deal. The staff are always nice and knowledgeable. Ive heard people complain about there not being a huge selection, but I think the selection is just fine! Thank you Vision works!
The staff there are all very nice and welcoming. I’ve been to other vision places where the doctors would rush my exam but not here! Dr Petracca was very thorough and made sure I was taken care of. Will definitely come back again! Great people & great customer service.
Great selection and the staff is great. Everyone there weighed in on my selections for me and they did it with a smile. The do get busy sometimes but they must be that good right? There were plenty of staff when I was there on a Saturday.
The employees at this location were personable and patient when I came into their store. Since I wasnt exactly sure if my insurance covered an eye exam, they informed me where I could find a coupon to make it more affordable. I appreciate the compassion during the rough times. I felt valued and appreciated for my business.
My wife has a pair of sunglasses that she loves but one of the screws popped out leaving them useless. I went in to Vision Works hoping they could make me look like a hero for Christmas and Yoshanna was there to greet me and took on the challenge of finding the right screw. After a few attempts, she was able to find the right one and fix them. I wrapped them up and gave them to my wife for Christmas and when she opened them she said all is right in the world! So funny. Thank you for making this happen Yoshanna!
The Telemed exam went well. The doctor and technicians were super friendly and nice. It was really cool to see the Optomap image of my eye. The exam was also quick and easy.
The staff (yoshana) was very friendly and helpful. She fixed my kids glasses in no time! Great service. I would recommend this store to my friends for sure.
Not enough people working and we waited almost 2 hours from the time we walked in the door until we ordered my son’s glasses and left. We were told his glasses would be in by a certain date and we are now 2 days past that. No one has bothered to call to update us and when I took the initiative to call, I was told they don’t have any information on when they’d be in. Poor customer service.
Went there for eye exams for myself and my two kids. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful, and they made us feel welcome to be there. Dr Peterson was wonderful. He was patient and took the time to answer all our questions. Overall a great experience.
It was my first time going in visionworks on Saturday, and I would have to say that was one of the best places I’ve been to since i started using glasses. Everyone was happy and was welcoming, you get notice the moment you step right in. Thanks to Jenni for helping me pick out really cool glasses. Can’t wait to come back in again!
Ive been coming here for over three years and have brought my dad and husband. Weve had amazing care and attention here. The doctor was the first in my life to spot astigmatism in my left eye -- when I got the right contact lens for it, it changed my vision (Ive been wearing contacts for 30 years and it was only 3 years ago that this was caught). The women who have fitted me for eyeglass frames -- and who adjust them for me from time to time -- are so helpful, caring, and capable. Sometimes theres a little bit of a wait, but the hours are convenient -- its easy to pop in. I just had another adjustment today, and I was going to buy a box of cleaning cloths. The sweet woman who adjusted my frames gave me a box which had been a little dinged up in transit -- for free. Thats how they roll here. :)
I love my new glasses!! I had a very pleasant experience here and the staff was very helpful. The doctor was really great as well.
I had an eye exam in September 2018 for glasses, and I scheduled a contact fitting Jan 2019. I showed up for my appointment, and the optometrist tells me that the fitting needs to be within 60 days or the exam or prescription is not current. Im fine with that, but the way she stated it was very rude. There were no apologies for my appointment being made with this oversight. The receptionist was super nice to make up for her rudeness and printed out my exam and rx. I was able to find an optometrist down the street that allows contact fittings within 6 months. I definitely will not be going back to Visionworks for anything else in the future. One bad experience is all it takes. You lost 3 patients (myself and my children). Bravo.
Awesome Staff! Everytime I go in they make me laugh and my experience enjoyable. Their new manager really knows what hes talking about. Definetely will be back and might bring my family in with me!

Wonderful experience today buying my glasses at Visionworks in Maple Grove. Jennie Myers was knowledgeable about the products, and took time to answer all my questions.
Staff is friendly and has excellent knowledge on frames and discounts to save you the most bang for your buck. Doctor is awesome, and knows how to educate the average person about complex eye information.
I had a very bad experience yesterday with one of the staff. I ordered glasses, which arrived five days late, and the employee was completely disinterested in assisting me. After six attempts to fit my glasses I asked her to stop and have to make a second trip today. She was incapable of even the most basic customer service. I will not order from there again.

LOVE the staff and selection of frames is ok. Getting Oakley would be nice. But more importantly please spend a little money and get your stores email capability!! I just called to see if my sons prescription slips could be emailed over. The choices were mail, fax or I could drive there to pickup. What telegraph wasnt still available?! Everytime we are in for glasses, the computers take 3 to 4 times as long as anything else. Again great staff, but step out of the dark ages.

This store is very unprofessional and screwed up order. For the first appointment, we show up and there is only one person in store, the Dr and the other gal were late. The late gal told us she was 2 1/2 hours late due to partying the night before... the Dr finally showed up and did exam. When we went to order glasses, the Dr had not brought out the prescription before grabbing the next person, our gal went back and asked the Dr for it and he told her to get lost and he would bring it out after..... which meant the girl had to make up a prescription so we could order glasses., Guess what, lo and behold the glasses show up wrong the next week, brought them back and they assured us they would be back before vacation, which is why we made apt well in advance. They told us they would overnight them and put a rush on them and hyave them overnighted back. Needless to say they were not ready before we left on vacation, we were told they were sent back wrong again. So we go on vacation and get numerous calls from them after telling them we would be gone for a week and not to call anymore, we would pick them up when we get back, they continued to call anyway, they also then told us that they were not wrong but sent to the wrong store and that is why they were late. Now, who is lying and why?????? They gave us a box of cleansing cloths and some spray for our trouble. They are not professional and will lie to you if things go wrong. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE, USE ANOTHER EYE PLACE!!!!!!! The employee turnover they have is a big red flag!!!! The gal that had helped us all along, saw me walk in to pick them up yesterday and immediately whispered something to new employee and rant to the back leaving the new employee to help me. Just so unprofessional in my opinion...........I did not cause any scene in the store so not sure why she would avoid me other than she lied.....
I have been trying to order glasses for over two weeks. I have told the girls who work there that I am not the policy holder, my dad is. Every time I call they say they need the same information. I gave them my dads information three times now, they always end the call saying, ok, COOL we will give you a call back. I havent received any return calls. This is so frustrating. I would not recommend Vision Works in Maple Grove to anyone. Save your money and go to a different business who actually cares about their clients.
Awful experience, booked eye exam only for myself & my daughter we both have BC/BS and VSP. Have been going to a different VW for 5+ yrs always same insurance, and this one was so rude their behavior was disgusting! Because they couldnt get frame sales they kept trying to tell me Id have to use my VSP benefits if I wanted an eye exam and so I just told them I would go somewhere else & they started bad mouthing me in front of my child. WOW, so sad that I told them their behavior was shameful and left!

Will never, ever be back. Had an eye exam for glasses. Got my new prescription and everything was warped and my depth perception was wonky. They said to keep the prescription and call if it was the same the next day. It was! Went back for another exam, same dr. And got a new prescription.... low and behold same thing happened! Went back a third time to the other Dr and the SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. Finally went somewhere else and they found the problem wasnt the prescription, it was the fact I have kerataconus and it was completely missed. Complete waste of time.
Good staff and customer service
Checking out at the end took longer than the actual exam with doctor. They forgot to give me my paper prescription card, and wouldnt give it over the phone after I realized they forgot, so need to make another trip. Really bad!
