My husband and I had been shopping for furniture for months. Then, after eating lunch at a Diner on Springfield Ave in Maplewood, we stumbled upon this gem of a furniture store. The owner, his name is Albert, greeted us warmly and spent the next two hours patiently showing us all his unique products, and explaining with proud detail, the stories behind each item. Bottom line: excellent customer service, superior products, outstanding selection, and fair prices.

I tip my hat to the owner of this establishment, for taking an important step in the on-going revitalization of Springfield Ave. Albert Joseph took over an abandoned bakery, and transformed it into a sleek & modern furniture/art gallery that holds its own against any of the high-end (and high priced) stores that you find in upscale neighborhoods like SoHo or Tribeca. Loaded with an eclectic mix of rare Asian antique pieces, as well as gorgeous and hard to find 20th century collectible furniture, art and lighting, this showroom is an interior decorators dream. But dont be intimidated - even if youre just a home owner like me, in need of advice and hand-holding, the owner is extremely helpful and patient, and provides maximum personal attention. This is THE PLACE to shop for unique and high quality furniture and art. And its right here in Maplewood, NJ !!!
