My husband and I got a PS3 from my parents for Christmas and it only had a 12GB hard drive in it. We needed something bigger, obviously! Val (a sales associate) was very helpful and knew exactly what we needed. It is a great place and we will be going there for all of our needs. :D

I brought my computer in and they wanted $60+ for a bios update. Total scam, for that amount I could buy a new CPU and do it myself.Update: I bought a new MOBO for cheaper and installed it myself for cheaper than what they wouldve charged to update my bios. Probably quicker too

My Dad ordered a new $3,500 gaming laptop on April 9, they told he & mom it wouldnt be in and available to pick up until the following Monday, April 16. Less than 24 hours later, on April 10, Dad unexpectedly passed away. Mom called UES COMPUTERS THAT SAME DAY and told them to cancel the laptop, that dad had passed away. They offered their condolences and said theyd take care of getting it cancelled. Mom thanked them and we thought that was the end of it.Mom got her credit card statement this Monday, May 7th to find that the refund for the laptop that we cancelled, and did not receive, was short by $522. She called UES Computers to let them know of the mistake and they informed her it was a restocking fee. At no time did anyone EVER mention this to mom when she cancelled the order on April 10, or anytime thereafter either.Mom mentioned this to them and was told there was nothing they (a locally owned store, with a few other locations in the area) could do about the restocking fee.After mom told me about this, I of course called UES Computers the next day (yesterday) to figure out what we needed to do to resolve this situation seeing that this business, that dad used regularly, was now charging an already grieving widow $522 for a laptop that not only did we not receive, but was not even scheduled for pick up until the following week.I too was told it was a restocking fee. I then asked why mom was not told this when she called to cancel the order and I was informed by the owners son that he Did not know at the time there would be a fee, as they order from a 3rd party vendor. He said he explained the situation to their 3rd party laptop vendor and that the vendor was wishy washy and never gave him a straight answer on if a fee would be charged and if so how much. I asked why mom was not called at any time about the fee and he said it was because he didnt know what was going to come of it. However UES Computers manually would have had to know about the restocking fee on April 29 when they credited dads credit card. I asked for the number to the 3rd party vendor so that I could explain the situation myself and was told he Needed to check with the UES Computers owner, who I later found out was actually his father. He called me back a few minutes later and said not only could they not do anything for us but also would not give out the 3rd party vendors name and said that we should Actually be thankful because normally on such a high end product (mind you its just a gaming laptop, nothing customized or altered, it was not even to their store yet and wouldnt be for a week) they dont refund at all so we should be happy with just the $522 restocking fee.I then told him that at any time had someone told us about an over $500 restocking fee that we may have just taken the laptop and tried to resell it as to not lose over $500 on it. I asked him if that was still an option and he said hed Have to call his 3rd party vendor. He called them and called me back 2 minutes later and said No, that was not an option since 4 weeks had now passed since the cancellation. I reminded him we were never given the option and no one told us about the fee until mom got her credit card statement the day before and SHE had to call THEM to find out about it. He said there was no getting out of the restocking fee nor was just purchasing the laptop to resell an option at this point.I would strongly caution everyone to beware of this locally owned business with such a blatant lack of integrity, professionalism and compassion.If they are willing to charge my already heartbroken mother a $522 restocking fee hoping maybe she wouldnt notice it when she paid the credit card bill, then Id seriously have to question the quality of any of their products & services.Very disappointed to say the least. Will be contacting the Better Business Bureau ASAP.

Took my PC in told them what I thought was wrong and was ignored they replaced nearly a thousand dollars worth of parts over the course of 3 visits and never fixed the root issue that i brought up on visit 1 had to take elsewhere for quality service and work
