Today is October 1st at around 8:52pm I finished shopping, I shop at Home Depot almost three times a week spending anywhere between 200 up to 1500 per trip. I’ve done this for the majority of the year, as I am doing many constructions at the moment. Unfortunately today I had a really close to terrible experience. I usually take My time shopping to not have to come back for the day, and I was with my group of 7 guys shopping. We had a constant flurry of workers asking us if we needed help, until the point where it was harassment. At one point nick, whilst I was in the cleaning aisle looking for degreaser comes up to me and asks me what am I looking for or what am I stealing. Unfortunately this as someone that has no necessity to steal nor take from others finds this not only offensive but demeaning. We spent a total of around 600 today, but if I can get reached out I can prove the amount I have spent at Home Depot this whole year. I have been loyal to Home Depot since I started construction for over a decade and I’ve never been so discriminated against in my life, I didn’t find it necessary for three police vehicles to show up for a couple guys that are just shopping and paying for their items, as well as having a total of 7 Home Depot workers waiting at the door. Too whomever this corresponds to I hope there is some reaching out.Thank you to officer Oviatt of the Martinez PD for not even hesitating on saying we did nothing wrong.
The employees at this location are very helpful. We were in the lumber department wondering how we were going to get a piece of wood out of a stack that was still tied down (they recently brought it in). An employee walked by an proactively asked if we needed anything which was a nice change because I feel like you’re invisible at the Concord location. Even the cashier was friendly and made us excited for the new saw we were purchasing. Also there was a great greeter at the front who was ready with a Tupperware with small dog treats. Definitely won my dachshund over too! :)
Wonderful helpers, they are kind, helpfil, care a lot about what I need. They are very friendly as well. They all should be recognized and praised. It was a very nice shopping at Martinez Homedepot. Thanks. Peter.
This super clean and friendly location always has classic 70s and 80s pop playing. It makes supply runs more fun
Its Home Depot. Definitely was able to get everything accomplished in 1 trip. So that was cool.
I have been pleased with Home Depot for many years. However, the product line that is available for door thresholds is not very good. A door threshold that has a rubber insert is an inferior design because the constant foot traffic destroys the insert. The rubber gasket should be on the door shoe. Home Depot did not have the door shoe. Therefore, I will have to go to Ace Hardware. Otherwise Home Depot is a preferred place for me to shop.
Found what I needed. It would be nice if there were more staff available to help out.
Better than Concord location. Staff is friendlier and more helpful. Fewer aisle blockages and shelves are neater. Good garden department. Martinez store is my favorite.
The kid (tall skinny blonde hair) loading had a real attitude and threw my pavers into the truck and cracked a few, didnt notice until I got home.
They had everything i need that day foe my place this store is so helpful.
This store in Martinez is smaller than the Concord location and they did not get the product we were in search of stocked there and we bought a different one instead which did not have as good of reviews. Employees were very talkative and helpful.
We purchased a Samsung front loader washer and dryer from Home Depot in Martinez. We also purchased the extended warranty through Home Depot. Our wash machine is only 4 years old and we just found out that it needs to have major repairs; motherboard, full bearings and drum. All repairs are under warranty - the problem is I cant get Home Depot to complete the repairs (the contractor that they use to services applicances are never available and Home Depots customer service is horrible). This has been going on since June 15, 2021 - 6 weeks without a resolution!DO NOT BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM HOME DEPOT
Nice and helpful peopleBut so many customers are there it took time for me to get helpOnce you got it they help youI like it
I bought carpet here and the installation was horrible. A month after the installed, musky smell started to permeate in both of the rooms. I did some petri dish test & it shows mold growth. I reached out to home depot & they are giving me a hard time about warranty even though there is a 15 year guaranteed. Going to Lowe’s from now on.
I’ve been to quite a few Home Depot’s and this one is probably my favorite. The layout is very nice and more importantly, they keep things stocked. (Unlike Concord). The employees are nice and helpful and it’s never too crowded.
It’s always there for me and usually has what I need. The Store is always clean and the people are knowledgeable and friendly.
They helped me with my and get a better item
Manager Miguel was great to deal with!
When you have a lot of things the workers surround you assuming that you are trying to steal something.. also Sams workers got in my face twice asking what I need help with.. that is very poor judgment
One of the cleanest most organized in well-run stores Ive seen at Home Depot in a long time. Well done.
Like this HD. Not crazy busy. Help availability without waiting like most HD stores.
Helpful staff and the parking is spacious.
Sales associate was very friendly and helpful.
Seem to serve the average Joe very well compared to the large contractor
No hanging basket planters and not many choices on trellis.
They were completely out of 16 gage 6D -2 finish nails, again. Very disappointed. And as usual, there was nobody around who could assist me. I went to Ace Hardware, found them & purchased them there. Assistance was available when I stepped inside the door at Ace. I didnt have to run around looking for someone.
Very professional, knowledgeable and authentic staff. The lady in paint tonight wasnt overzealous. I asked her where something was and she knew exactly where it was and even offered me a clearance item that I needed and didnt ask for. She knew because she knew the other items I was buying. This staff should be an example for all Home Depots given most have average or less than customer service. Also big shout out to Leslie. Not sure if she was a manager or not but if she isnt- she should be. I will continue to come to this location next time I need anything. And that says a lot considering I usually go to Ace whenever possible.
Curb side pick up was very quick.
Employees not very helpful here, asking to find a flat L bracket, did not know what it was. Ask where I could find Plexiglas, the answer was I dont know and then just walked away. So I went to Lowes in Concord, where Employees were actually able and happy to help. Thank You Lowes
If I cant get what I need from Ace Hardware Walnut Creek, Home Depot is my only other stop ... 👍👍👍😃😃😃
Another Home Depot. Busy, but I reduced a star because at times, I have to search for someone to help and was given the run around.Oh well. Other than that, its a Home Depot. Tons of stuff.
Always a great home depot experience at this location. People are friendly and helpful. My favorite home depot store.
Knowledgeable and helpful staff! Employees wearing masks and sanitizing self checkout after each use. Great selection of Christmas trees. The guy working in the Christmas tree section on 11/25 around 12 p.m. told me about the different types of trees and even loaded it into my car!
Not far from CA 4 State Hwy. Between exits Center & Morello. The store is on Arnold Road.
Last time I was there the employees went above and beyond to help me and how can ya not love that?!
Very nice and helpful staff
They have the expandable hoses there and if you hold a home Depot card and use it on your purchase or quite a few different items they give you a 365 day warranty so Im really happy because in case this thing feels I can always go back and exchange it or return and buy anyone they take really good care of their credit card holders so I would highly recommend getting one
Very good customer service, and a good job with safety and social distancing. They had everything we needed, and then some!
I love this store. Great peeps, laid back. Friendly as Heck!
In and out within 5 minutes. Very easy to find everything I needed amd didnt have to go to Wal-Mart. Very helpful associates. Self checkout line is the best.
Yeah, same as the other one.. they dont sell homes, and there was no depot.
Oddly home depot doesnt stock the 1 item I was looking for. Avail online w/ship to home or ship to store for curbside pick up.
The wife and I came in to get hardwood flooring and carpet for the new house. We managed to find the flooring no problem but we needed the carpet cut. My wife asked an associate; whom just so happened to be doing something on the same aisle, if she could help up with getting carpet. She told us that we needed to ask the person at the carpet desk right over there. So we walk over and wouldnt you know it there was no one there. So we waited, and waited, until the first associate we talked to noticed we were still waiting so she paged for assistance to the carpet section. Upon the arrival of an associate responding to the page for help at the carpet desk my wife and I were told that we needed to speak to another associate about getting carpet cut. They then pointed to the original associate we had asked in the first place. So now Im sitting her at the carpet desk writing this review hoping that no one else has to go through this. Im now getting up and leaving never to return. To think I was prepared to spend thousands of dollars here today. Sure glad I didnt.
The Martinez CA store is very convenient. I have been there on multiple occasions and has always found what I needed at a fair price. The staff are knowledgeable and work together to assist the customer. One word of caution, when buying indoor house plants, choose carefully. Some of the plants can be weak and will die off quickly.
Good place to buy some hardware stuff. I like outdoor pickup.
Good quantity of items but very crowded
Always have found what I needed. Staff is helpful.
Its Home Depot they had tools I bought them.
Pretty good but didnt have prices on a lot of the lengths of wood had to keep asking.
I found what I needed quickly and left. This particular Home Depot is a bit smaller than the one thats closer to where I live. I like getting what I need and Im gone. Not wandering around in a huge warehouse that lacks properly trained help. 5 Stars Yep.
I rented a truck. It was seamless. I received excellent customer service
Love all the hot men.
This is a nice home depot. Never really packed.
Edgar in lumber made my day today! Scoping out the wood I needed and also cutting it for me, with his patience and care. Thanks again
Better than Concord home depot, much more organized. Parking is bad though since it shares a lot with walmart
My first time ever visiting HD in Martinez. It kind of shocked me to see how pleasant it was. It was on a Saturday and was not crowded. As the matter of facts I initially went to the one in Concord and as soon as I pulled in the parking I decided not even bother since there a very long line wrapped around the corner of the building. One in Martinez was a breeze, not even crowded and also the employees were attentive compared to other HDs. Would certainly make all efforts to drive a few minutes further to visit this place more often.
Had what we needed for reasonable prices. customer service was good there were clerks there to help when using self check out.
I bought a Hampton Bay patio table online and it came broken. Justin and his managers at the customer service desk went out of their way to figure out how to replace the broken tiles. The table was a dud and had to be returned to the vendor, but the service was excellent!
Store employees are very friendly and helpful
My son and I were there for probably an hour. Not a single employee acknowledged us or offered assistance. We found what we needed all by ourselves!
Well stocked. Easy check out.
The person in the lumber was very helpfull with my question of building a deck.
Plenty of parking. Friendly service.
Most of the employees Ive interacted with werent that helpful and only once did I have someone actually go out of their way to do everything they could to help me find what I was looking for. As it turned out I had to purchase it from their website.
Good selection of indoor and out doorplants. Self check out nice👍
Excellent customer service...
Check out was great so much appreciated the pro check out help loading bender boards
Very organized with knowledgeable people.
Always a great place to get your hardware!
2N the pink & 1 in the stink
Great place to buy things (e.g., knee mats) difficult to find elsewhere, like Walmart.
Overall, I love Home Depot, but this HD is all backwards from most of the HDs in Sacramento. Employee a bit rude, gave us the run around on where to find light bulbs. Although, the plumbing guy walked me to what I was looking for, sprinklers. Good Job.
Helpful, friendly, and patient associates. Always willing to go the extra mile to help you.
Hard to get help and when they do they treat you like your ignorant!
I live closer to the Home Depot in Concord, but often go to this one for a few reasons. For one thing, this one has parking right near a door to the lumber, and is easy to get to. Plus there are lots of the lumber carts all near this door unlike Concord where you have to search for them. Plus, it seems like the people are nicer here and more helpful
Prices are fair and the staff was more than happy to answer questions Id had!
A very nice lady helped me & explained different equipment I was looking to purchase.
Alot of products for the home.
Like every other HomeDepot. This one is a bit cleaner, nicer and less crowded than most. Parking is easy. Shelves are better stocked and much better organized than the one on Concord.
Everyone was nice and respectfull.
Very good customer service
Had a wonderful cashier.
Busy store but great curb side pick up service.Huge home depot
Friendly little local Home Depot. Easy in and out project supply store.
Ken the bbq guy was fantastic...he knew everything about them...he was so helpful and not pushy...well just a bit...but in a nice way...we had some laughs...thw manager brick was great as well...youngest manager I have seen at HD... Ill be going there from Tiburon from now on...
Seemed like the tool area was smaller than Im use to
The Martinez location offers better parking and the staff is more helpful
Today, I visited Home Depot in Martinez, CA to purchase some ridge caps for a shed that I had shingled over the weekend. I asked a young salesperson for help regarding a product I was thinking of purchasing. He didnt have an answer, but said he would send another salesperson over to help me. After 15 minutes of waiting, I asked a second salesperson for assistance, and she, too, said that she would send someone to help me in Roofing. After 15 minutes, I approached a 3rd salesperson who--like the others--said he would get someone to help me. After 45 minutes of waiting for Home Depot staff to help me, would you guess who actually gave me assistance? Another customer at the store who knew what he was talking about! In the weeks following Christmas, Ive spent over $1,000 (at least 20 different trips) at Home Depot to build a shed. So this is how Home Depot treats loyal customers, eh?Hear this, Home Depot guys: with service provision of the quality I experienced today, its NO WONDER why Lowes is eating your lunch! Even though Lowes means another 5 minutes of driving for me, Im headed there from here on out!
Why five stars for a Home Depot? For starters, this one is much cleaner and better organized than most, is likely the largest one in the area, and has an excellent selection. While Home Depots are basically self serve, the employees at this one seem to be, on average, more knowledgeable. When you factor in the competitive pricing, its an excellent choice.
Went to go purchase appliance suite at 6pm on a weekday during labor day sale. Supposedly biggest sale of the year. We asked if anyone was available to assist. We were told no and that no one would be there the rest of the evening. Who hosts a sale and then does not have employees to help out in the last day of the sale. Guess I shouldnt be surprised since its not the first time we received no service.
Because milwaukee haha quick checkout at 12 in the afternoon
Poor if no customer service.
Best place to go for all your home improvement needs
Good luck finding a parking space
Not good staff was not helpful
Got help in identifying an unusual light bulb replacement. Good source.
Accomadating. Helped with problem solving. Wonderful customer service from Cashier as well as the young gentleman who helped us cut our carpet. I enjoyed our trip here. Definitely recommend Martinez Home Depot 👍👍👍
Good customer service 👍
Love the BBQ pits have to get one...
Pro desk always great ppl
