The Historic Augusta canal, always a great place to ride. Both asphalt and dirt with plenty of nature and modern amenities along the way. Extends now from the headgates to downtown Augusta, walk ride or run but get outside-its beautiful.

Bicycle Peddler’s customer service is outstanding. I showed up with three bicycles on a Saturday afternoon. Sam was able to fix all three bikes in about an hour. That was incredible and unexpected. He adjusted the brakes, tire pressure, check the gears, tighten up the screws, installed two bike stands and changed two tire tubes. This is by far the best bicycle shop I ever done business with. His prices are very affordable too. I was able to ride with my son for about 4 miles. That in itself was priceless.. I recommend this shop to anyone needing maintenance or looking for a new bike.

We visited the Bicycle Peddler while riding the Augusta Canal. Pretty cool shop tucked away there. They provide bike service/rentals and have plenty of quality bikes for sale, biking accessories and snacks as well. Check them out!

Great bike service! I needed my front and rear derailleur’s adjusted for proper gear alignment and changing. Sam had me in and out in 20 minutes. A fantastic job! I will be out on the road again tomorrow. Highly recommend the Bicycle Peddler, I will be back.

Great service. No nonsense. Wish I caught the guys name that helped me but he was super quick and gave such a fair price. I brought in two brand new, Department store-bought bikes and asked for a basic tune up (which other places will run you about $50-75 a bike). He got to work, did a quick inspection and adjusted only what needed it, and charged for only service provided... Didnt think it was possible but my bike felt newer when I rode it. Definitely recommend.

The people there are one of a kind. Customer service is outstanding, prices are remarkably reasonable, the bike mechanic is very knowledgeable, the shop is right next to a trail system to either ride your new bike from the shop or your recently fixed bike, and you can rent bikes from the shop. As a person who has been to many bikes shops over the years this one takes the cake.

Its always great to visit the Bicycle Peddler. Minor adjustments at reasonable rates and a great selection of new bike eye candy. One day Ill get one of those famous Jamis bikes:)

A little pricy but friendly service

There is no better place around. I came in with a flat and some tension issues.They had it fixed in 15 minutes or less and charged me maybe 20 or 25 bucks.I was shocked at the magic they did to my bike. I ride a not very fancy department store bike thats maybe 8 or 12 years old. It runs better than new. Not good as new, BETTER than new.Chain reaction didnt answer their phone when I called, Outspokin quoted me a 3 week turn around, and Bicycle Peddler had me in and out. This should have been my first choice. Now they are my only choice. Best bike shop around.

Bikes are so-so. Trail is nice.

They work quick, they what their doing. If you have a problem with your bike, I heavily recommend it.

Mr. Sam has ben really helpful to me and my brother to Upgrade are bikes and get parts for them

Great place to take your bikes if anything goes wrong with them i took mines and my brothers for repair and got to work immediately and didn’t charge an arm and a leg like most shops would always give great service i recommend this shop he does great business all the time no complaints he deserves 20 stars my 2 visits were great if you need repairs done go to him you want be disappointed he also rent bikes as well for the trail that runs to Augusta canal lake omstead area

Great place! Danielle and Sam will take great care of you.They have Ice cream cones and more to keep you cool. They of course sell bicycles and accessories and provide service. And trust me the service is great AND fast.Also available are bicycles and trailers (for small kids). Bicycles are 20$ per all day; SWEET!!!

Super helpful staff, he found a replacement derailleur hanger when mine broke at the FORKS trail system and also loaned us some helmets. Highly recommend this bike shop.

I love Gene! My daughters bike broke and I asked to borrow a tool to fix it myself. An hour later Gene had it fixed perfectly, he had loaned my daughter a bike so we could ride while he worked on it, and he charged about 1/4 of what I was expecting for the work he did. Highly recommend this shop for all your cycling needs.

I highly recommend this bike shop. They have very good customer service and a great location along the Augusta Canal. I have purchased two bikes here and do not plan on going anywhere else for a future bike purchase.

Small shop with personal service. Not an intimidating high end big time shop but they sell very high end bikes if you order them.

Brought our own bikes to the trail today and noticed a flat, guy in the bike shop hooked us up with some air and saved our ride.

Great place to rent, buy, or service a bike. I have done all three. He has a good selection of rentals at a very reasonable price and since he is located on the historic canal trail, theres plenty of excellent riding. I have purchased three new Jamis bikes from him and was more than satisfied(hes the only authorized dealer in Jamis bikes for about 100 miles) One of the bikes I bought was a Xmas gift for my wife, and it turned out to be too big for her. That was no problem; Gene gave her a replacement at no extra charge. And that was AFTER we had dinged it up taking it back to the shop. He also has an excellent selection of used bikes of all types and makes. I have gone to him for maintenance and service and been more than satisfied both with the quality and the price.You might wonder why I gave such a glowing review but only gave four stars. Well thats because hes only open two or three days a week. Understandable because his shop is in a county park where there is traffic only on weekends, but its still a bit frustrating when you need work done on your bike during the week.

Theyre always friendly and honest, and theres never a pressure to purchase or attempts at upselling in my humble opinion. I started renting periodically in 2015 and just purchased my first bike, a Jamis, this May. I love my bike! I purchased a bike for my 10 year old at Academy Sports and had it tuned up by Gene prior to his riding it today. I definitely recommend The Bike Peddler to all riders!
