I needed to get a couple spare keys made for our cars. The older key was no problem but the newer key, I assumed required the dealership to make since its contained the anti-theft chip. The Ford Dealership was going to charge me nearly $300 and needed my car for 1/2 a day to do the work!In passing, I mentioned this to the Ace Hardware employee and she very politely told me they could do it! She took my information and within 3 days, I received a call from their GM, Joe, who told me he had my key and when I could bring the car by for him to do the work?On the morning I was free, I stopped by in the 98 degree heat and with a smile, Joe had me all set up in the store to make the key and out on the parking lot to program it to my car. Within 10 minutes I was back on the road to work!What was even more amazing, was the entire cost (including a new battery for my key fob that they put in for me) was less than hundred dollars before tax!Amazing! I had been working on something for almost 4 hours after talking with an employee I learned I had the wrong item for what I was trying to do. The employee well kind, helpful, and listened so that he could answer my questions correctly.

A friend needed a battery for her car remote so I asked if she had auto store close she didnt know so went to the local area where she shop in the first time we pull in it was a auto store it was close so next door was a Ace hardware store so I told her to stop there and the employee help her he was very nice keep up the good work Ace Thank you Mary P

I do like this business and the location is very convenient. The prices are fairly high but I dont have to drive an extra 10 min round trip and they keep an enormous amount of product. Thats very appreciative.

I had to wait a little bit as I was picking up a very large order of window screens. Every single person that walked by me while I waited made sure to ask if I was being helped or needed anything. Very good customer service and fantastic employees. Thank you for all your hard work and kindness!

I was pleasantly surprised they had everything I needed to finish one of my projects. I didnt even check ahead of time and they had everything I needed to prepare and clear coat some raw aluminum parts. The staff is always super helpful and friendly, except that guy that didnt say hi to me when I said hi.

I tried them for the first time since they carry a brand of fertilizer that I prefer and is not carried by most stores. The staff was friendly, nice selection of stuff, and the prices were fairly good. The only downside is that some things were very easy to find while other things were much more difficult. Obviously, this could be because it was my first time there, but the store did not seem to have a good flow to it at least for me. I would recommend them, but would also recommend that you ask for assistance if you are have trouble finding something unless you are familiar with the store.

Employee refused a customer who wasn’t wearing a face mask to enter the store, and I was happy about that until I looked over and saw they weren’t wearing a face mask but a face shield.A face MASK is not a face SHIELD. I am disappointed to see them reprimanding others for not following COVID guidelines when they themselves are not as well. A shield does nothing to protect you or your patrons when you aren’t wearing a face mask along with it.If you want to protect your patrons, don’t only refuse non-maskers entrance, but make sure your employees are wearing proper masks, too.

This is a great hardware store serving the Maryland Heights community. They may not have all the stuff like Home Depot / Lowes, but they have enough of the essentials that I can make a quick run by here to get what I need.For example, I once needed a random bolt, washer and nut to replace the ones broken from a package I received. I found it here. Not only that, I asked someone to help me find it because I was unfamiliar with the system. They did a great job and was very friendly.I must mention again how friendly the store is. It makes a big difference, and I try to buy what I need here when I can. The prices are also competitive with the big stores too.

I was helped promptly by the lady at the paint section. She helped me order an out of stock item online and then took me to all the sections I needed in the store. She was very friendly and very helpful. I bought half a dozen assorted items I needed at decent prices and was in and out within 20 minutes. I had a wonderful experience and Im super happy to support a business known for ethical practices!

They were extremely confident in selling me the proper breakers for my electrical box... Twice! So confident they did not need to see pictures or read the specks on the breaker box door that I brought with me!Then they had the audacity to tell me they are non refundable after the fact!After the third time I brought all six breakers (I was adding two) and told them they could keep them if they are so desperate for money.I wasnt going to leave breakers laying around that could start a fire or electrocute someone years from now.All they had to do is say Im not positive if these are correct and they are non returnable!They should be ashamed of themselves!

Ive been to a lot of the big chain stores like Lowes and Home Depot and nothing compares to the experience that I received at Ace Hardware in Maryland Heights, MO. The customer service was superb from Jeff and Christy. When you come to this location it really gives you a feeling of an old town Hardware store, where they care more about the customer satisfaction. Thats were Jeff and Christy come in, I told them what I wanted and they delivered, big time. They are truly assets to the company hold on to those two if you can.

Love this place, except one older lady that works there seemed as if I was doing something wrong by browsing around while I was thinking of buying a power drill. She just stood at the end of aisle with her head tilted sideways and just staring at me for a minute before saying, So do you need any help?. Still bought a drill but kinda felt pressured too sadly because that interaction made me feel very uncomfortable. I get that kind of person from time to time but just a friendly reminder the old saying stays true. Dont ever judge a book by its cover. None the less very happy with my selection and never had a single problem here other than earlier today as mentioned. 5 stars all the way

Nice store but they cheated me out of reward points. The cashier said my purchases would show up in the app but they never did but since then I have shopped with two other locations and have received reward cards from them both. I guess the Dorsett road location doesnt want give away anything free opposed to the others so we wont shop again at this location. Shame on you all.

I needed set screws for 7 vintage door knobs. Joe not only directed me to the screws but actually found set screws for all 7 knobs. He also recommended a means to re-drill the screw channels to make the job easier to get the knobs tightened as needed. He spent 15 minutes helping me find exactly what I needed.Then the same day I came in looking for a storm door strike plate. The one that came in the replacement kit was too narrow and the existing one was too wide. What I needed was not available, so the customer service rep (dark haired guy with earring) offered to grind down the one was too wide. It worked perfectly. Now, thats providing outstanding customer service!!!

Love this little store, everything is easy to find and knowledgeable people are available to help. However, I was deeply disturbed that when I was there to today they were not enforcing that their customers wear a mask. Someone was at the door keeping count but not even a suggestion to wear a mask. Given the number of elderly shoppers I would think this is a no brainer. I work in healthcare and I feel more at risk in the store than at work. I wont be back until theres a vaccine or policy changes.

Wow! I worked for Ace Hardware for 10 years, not this store. Never have I experienced an Ace that every employee was rude and or having the worst day of their lives and spread it on a customer. It does not cost anything to smile. A simple key cut should not have taken as long as it did. And that was just waiting to be taken care of. I do not and will not recommend this Ace. I love Ace. Im loyal to my dying breath to the company. But this particular one needs an employee purge. Remember the name: Brandts Ace Hardware and go out of your way to avoid it. Ugly service indeed.

Good store, knowledgeable staff. Prices are higher than a big box store, but having an employee that can actually help makes it worth it. They can cut duplicate keys in the back. Their paint center is really good. They have free popcorn. Their rewards program sends coupons. They give back to the community.

Recommend supporting this family owned hardware store as an alternative to the big box stores. You get the help that you need without walking a mile. Buy 5 screws instead of having to buy a pack of 100. There’s a gentleman who has been there forever that is like the grandfather who always solves your plumbing problem or finds the right oil for your mower.

I dont have and have never had a problem with the staff. That said I do have a problem with the decision at the corporate level to lie on their website about what the store has in stock. I came to the store to buy a Kwik set rekey kit that the website said was in stock only to be told its not. Then I was told that corporate always does that. Saying that things are in stock that not only are out of stock but not even carried in the store. Then I get the response that I truly hate, You can order it online....If I wanted to freaking order it online I would go on Amazon and do that!!! Oh well I guess I will have to get it from Amazon. I wont do business with liars.

Was asked to leave the store because I didnt have a mask on, I have a pre existing medical condition and was told no one care and to leave, I will never shop here again, I am a contractor and will take all my business else where. Do yourself a favor and go to lowes.

Joe the manager came right over and helped us. He went above and beyond, I was very appreciative. They had all the parts I needed for my repair and he partially fixed it before I even paid.

This ACE has the friendliest staff and they care about our community too! Over 40 parkway summer school students will have a beautiful plant to put in their ceramic planter made during summer school. In addition they donated vegetable plants to my church VBS where even more younger children 5-11 yrs old will enjoy the bounty! Thanks again Joe for making little moments for our community kids. Love ACE Hardware: Tonight I was from the parking lot to store in 30 seconds, spent about a minute searching for an unusual little faster, an employee approached me to help and took me directly to what I needed in another section, wrote out the slip for cashier and asked what else he could help me with. On the short trip back to the front of store another employee asked if he could help. When I said no, but thanks he bid me a good evening and was off to help the next customer. Folks, this is what convenience and customer service is all about.

This account was fairly clean and well organized. The staff were helpful and quite knowledge about the products we were looking for and gave good advice on the best brand and size too look for.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. The staff is more than happy to take you to the correct aisle and help you solve whatever problem you have. I have had more than one occasion where I have showed up right at closing, but they still let me in to quickly grab what I needed. Free popcorn at the entrenchment as well!

I entered the store and was immediately met by staff asking if I required any assistance. They took me through the process of ordering an item which was not available at that particular store and when it would arrive. This is a much better than wondering around those other two large warehouse companies (Home Depot & Lowes) begging for someone to assist you. I have finally found a new place to spend my money....

Love this ace, the prices are not that competitive to the big box stores, but they are conveniently located. They also employ high school students and retired folks, I like that. Always friendly, always helpful. They treat you like theyve know you for years.
