Called about some work i would like to have done and ask if the Guy if he had a minute and he responded with i guess so... So i told hime i guess so you lost my business. Customer service is laking from this place no calls back not mad just trying to help yall out for the future good luck!!!
This review is over the process I am still in with the shop. I ordered a twin turbo kit, Zach explained to me the work would be 3 weeks 4 tops. It’s now the 3rd month waiting. Prior to paying he was very responsive, after their communication was zero. I have to send multiple emails, calls.... Currently I have received no contact. I have paid $7,400 for the kit. I got Robbed. I will be seeking legal representation to recoup my money, at this point I don’t care I want to put a lien on their company. If the shop delivers what was paid for I will adjust my review accordingly. This now an update, I finally received an incomplete kit that I paid full price for. Well of course, the manifold does not fit. Major clearance issues with the manifold hitting the frame and steering rack. The company will not respond, what ever you do, stay away from this company. They have taken my money and delivered parts that do not even fit.Zero response from shop to make it right. They have said we can pay for it to be fixed. After that they have blocked me and ignored phone calls. Stay away at all cost, go to a reputable shop with good feed back and reviews. I didn’t realize until after the fact they have a bad history with getting jobs completed. Just look at their reviews.
Had my car at the shop for a month did nothing told me don’t have no people to work on the car one day I’d wait a week then he told me he’s gonna check it out nothing like I say my car sit there for a month I called a tow today got at home fixing myself in 20 minutes never do business with them again spent a lot of money with them and this is how they do you
Great customer service. They dont always answer the phone because they are working on the cars, but they communicate well through email. I would definitely use them again.
Probably one of the best if not the nicest shops Ive ever stepped inside of!
Excellent place to do business with. I bought some parts from them and later had them install all of it for me on my corvette. They kept me up to date and made me feel like I was part of the process which was nice.
Bought a car from him, it was missing the ac system components. Zach promised me to send them over, never heard back from him and never returned my calls or emails. Before getting the money they returned all my emails and calls, after receiving the money it was very difficult to reach them! They still owe me for shipping out the car which they never compensated me for.
Shipped my 13b REW motor there for a rebuild and was told that they would provide pictures and documents of the rebuild. Took them over 6 months to complete and was never provided any documents or pictures of the rebuild. Have been reaching out to them ever since but they seem to be ducking my calls and when promised a return call, I never hear back.Shady dealings and I still don’t know what took place in my rebuild.
The guys here are great!! My son did his job shadowing with them and as busy as they were, they could see his love for cars and were willing to let him hang out and learn the business. He had a great time and they seemed to genuinely enjoy having him there!!Thanks to a great bunch of guys!!!!!
Would give this place less than one star if possible and would not recommend doing business with them. I took my car in for minor mods ( fuel pump, injectors, e85 kit and tune) and was told the car would be between 90-95% power. After the parts were installed I drove the car home and the car maybe had 10% power and died twice on the way home. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE
I mainly dealt with zack but he was very good ar his job. The prices were well worth the work done. Overall great service, quick and quality work, and knowledgeable staff. I would highly recommend Addicted Performance Unlimited to anyone that asked.
We took my sons car to them 5 weeks ago. It is still there. 3 weeks ago they asked to $1500.00 up front for parts. We paid it. They then asked to another $1500.00 for the housing that had to be replaced. We paid it. They have not ordered or the housing apparently. The car is still sitting there. It appears that they are going to force to to use public media to let the public know how bad they have been. If they finally come through, I will be glad to remove this comment and apologize. However since Zach is never there when my husband and son call, and never returns calls, it is looking bad. We have receipts for all funds paid, and we will file a legal claim against them.
Exceptional work. The guys here at APU are awesome. They rebuilt my Integra engine with performance parts and it runs fantastic. To the one-star post below me: you obviously have no clue how much work is involved with rebuilding an engine. It doesnt happen overnight, especially with a car whose engine is no longer in production and parts have to be ordered direct from Mazda in Japan. On top of that, they will inspect every aspect of said engine to be sure there isnt anything else wrong that will cause it to blow up after a rebuild. Theres also machine work that has to be done to the engine. That also takes a lot of time. They are extremely thorough. Yes it may take a while, but for the exceptionally skilled technicians that are working on your vehicle, its worth it.
I am very please with the whole experience they are very professional and are easy to work with. I had my camaro ss tuned by zack he was very knowledgeable and helped my car to make the power it needs and sort out the drivability I was expecting after doing my btr stage 3 cam kit. The car drives great and is hungry to gobble up the road now after many months moving into the winter it drives amazing still great job guys!
If u could kindly give josh McCoig his winning from the give away I will reassess my review thank you
Seemed like a knowledgeable place but pricing can be iffy as with any performance shop. Was quoted an hour and a half for a steering wheel install then did it myself in about an hour (1st time install). maybe it was a general guess but for 110 an hour Id be sure I did my research before paying that kinda cash.
Absolutely the worst place to send your vehicle. First off I was told they were highly knowledgeable in engine swaps of all kinds. Took my 84 c10 there to have a 383 stroker put in. Engine was already built and ready to be Dropped in. Was having the transmission rebuilt, and the rear end rebuilt with new gears and posi. Told them my budget was $5000 and we agreed it would not exceed that. Ended up being $7500. Was told it would take 2-3 weeks, ended up being 3 months. Halfway through the work the tech quit along with 90% of everyone else that worked there. When I finally got the truck back the carburetor was not tuned and the transmission was leaking. Took it back up there and they “tuned the carburetor and fixed the leak”. Nothing was done. Had to pay someone else to get the carburetor running right and took it back because the transmission was still leaking. Again said it was fixed. Took it back yet again and they said they couldn’t see a leak. I literally crawled under the truck right there and showed them the leak. They told me to drive it more and see if it still leaks. Ended up having to take it to TranCo to have it fixed finally. Now I’m having to work on re-wiring it because they just ziptied all of the wires together and left them hanging next to the headers.....I would not recommend them to anyone!
One of the worst shops I have ever had the miss fortune of dealt with . When I first dropped my car off it looked like a grate shop but when I picked my car up 10 months later and looking worst then when I dropped it off it looked like a completely different shop on the inside .
These guys maintain my supra. They are exceptional.
High quality work. Unbeatable warranty service.
When your working with ageing and highly modified cars, things dont always go as planned, especially when it involves Mazdas wonderful rotary engine. An motor so complicated and picky only a handful of shops in the U.S. have the knowledge and resolve to continue working on them. Our 91 RX7 was no exception. Me and my husband took it to APU after many mods, upgraded parts, maintenance catch-up, and a LONG period of sitting. After completing the pre-dyno checks, the car was strapped down, computer hooked up, and pulls began. After a number of pulls, all with progressively better results, the motor blew........ Sitting on the dyno caughing, stumbling, and unable to maintain a steady idle, our hearts sank..... and to be honest, we were angry and made it known!I will skip ahead here to the results of the motor tear-down. Not only had the rear rotor secondary injector failed and cooked its harness connector causing an instant lean condition, but we found out the previous shop (a reputable name in rotary circles) that built our motor had not installed the upgraded internals we had requested, and paid for!Talk about eating crow, I wont go into detail on the heated discussions between us and APUs owners; but, you know how passionate and quick to cast judgement car lovers can be when our pride goes up in smoke on someones rolling road. The most important thing here, is despite our actions and the initial arguments between involved parties, APU maintained a level of respect and professionalism to see the rebuild through. After explaining the defects and proposed correction to us (and even offering discounts where they could) we followed their recommendation and speced out a motor that will be far more capable of reaching my husbands goals. As the previous poster mentioned; yes, these repairs take time, sometimes longer than expected. New parts are In short supply and used ones can be hard come buy at decent prices. A couple of necessary pieces to complete our build were on back order for some time; but, we were kept informed at all times of how the search was going. How many shops do you know of that are passionate enough about their craft and customers to see the job through under similar conditions. Now its time to brake-in the new motor and get it back on the dyno. Zack and the crew at addicted earned our trust and thats where our RX7 will be when it needs work.
Great shop very knowledgeable, and awesome customer service
Great job every time!
Dropped my rx-8 off on a Friday, I was told it would be ready on Tuesday, called them Wednesday and it wasnt ready, called them back that following Friday and they hadnt even started on it. Took them a week to replace a fuel pump, overpriced and their customer service is an absolute joke! They refused to refund my money for work that was never performed! Im proceeding to small claims court to get my money back.
Took my RX8 there was told 2days and $400 requests :fix speaker, adjust the head lights, stop the engine light from coming on, and stop it from dying in the middle of the roadResult: parts I didnt need, none besides my car from dying in the road and I went back four weeks later after after my car died in a busy intersectionPrice :$1,400 and 2weeks they even saw it as to high they bounced the price down $1,200P.S I have to go there tomorrow to deal with a oil problem that I recall they said that needed to be fixed that added to my list of thing I didnt ask for.Other than that they were nice guys to talk to
Great guys to deal with....
They can do anything
Snobs
