Great location to kayak! Our Guide Ally could not have been more nice. She was so knowledgeable about the Wildlife, area and gave great tips for things to see and do while here on our vaca. The weather was insanely perfect for us but it was Rideaway Adventures staff that made this 100 percent amazing! Great price to pay for such a fabulous day. Highly recommend visitors doing the Poppensette kayak trip.

We recently rented 2 tandem kayaks from the fantastic team at Rideaway. The equipment was top notch, the weather and location were perfect, and this activity really made the weekend for us. It’s a great way to unplug and connect with the outdoors, get just a little exercise (though they have options for folks looking to work a little harder), and see parts of Cape Cod most visitors don’t get to experience. But above all, the staff was second to non. Knowledgeable, super friendly, with an obvious customer-first focus. Will come back for sure.

As an avid kayaker living full-time on Cape Cod, I highly recommend Rideaway Adventures! I had family visiting from Florida and needed additional equipment to share my love of kayaking with them. Rideaway Adventures went above and beyond to create the perfect experience for us. They were flexible and easily rescheduled my trip when rain was predicted on my initial date. Renting kayaks from Rideaway (twice) was a highlight of our week on the Cape. We especially enjoyed paddling up the Mashpee River. Lots of beautiful birds especially herons and cormorants. The water was teeming with life, fish jumping and crabs scuttling along. The bay was also very nice- this is just a great location. The boats were some of the best Ive ever rented- good quality, comfortable and well maintained. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend!!!

Took a group of 8 out on a team building exercise with Mike & Callie. It was great. We had fun, got some exercise in (without it being too challenging), and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Highly recommended.

Myself, my boyfriend and his two kids had a 2-3 hour kayak rental this past weekend and it was a great experience! Called the morning-of for a reservation, woman on the phone was very nice, we got 2 tandems. We got there a few minutes late and the two guys at check-in were friendly and quick. Kayak ride was amazing! Quick 15-20 ride to a gorgeous beach where you can pull up and spend some time. Will be back!

My daughter and I had an absolutely magical time. It was so fun. My daughter is 10 and to see her take on this new experience was such a delight. Our tour guide Molly gave us such clear easy to follow instructions we were able to thoroughly enjoy the experience even though we had never kayaked before. Cant recommend enough!

Mike and his crew are absolutely top-notch. My first encounter with RideAway was the prompt phone call I received after inquiring through their website what kayak tour would be best-suited for our family. The woman I spoke to was polite and extremely helpful with her suggestions.In addition to booking the tour, after we arrived at our rental, we decided to rent a kayak and paddle board for delivery. The delivery fee was reasonable and Mike phoned to let us know when he was on his way to drop off the rentals. Upon arrival, he gave us a quick lesson on Paddle boarding 101. I really appreciated his emphasis on safety as well as technique during the lesson. Again, on the day our rentals were set to end, Will phoned to let us know he was on his way to retrieve the items.Excellent communication that didn’t end there. About an hour before our kayak excursion, Mike called to ask if we had any questions. The kayak tour itself was excellent. Mike is extremely knowledgeable about the area and the ecosystem. Again, his kayaking 101 lesson was comprehensive and included pointers on technique and safety.Top-notch service, top-notch people!

My teen kids and I had a great time on the kayak tour in Mashpee. Our tour guide was really friendly and knowledgeable about the things he shared with us. The only thing that I would say is that I thought the tour would be a little more focused on the ecosystem - the surrounding area and animals/fish etc. We did learn about a few things, but not a ton, and the tour was mainly through a waterway lined with houses. I had been hoping it was a more natural environment. Im thinking this likely was my fault - maybe I didnt read the description on the website thoroughly. Either way, though, we still had a wonderful time and would use Rideaway again. Great company to deal with and the kayaks and life jackets were in excellent shape, and the employees were super down to earth. I might just try a different tour next time.

My daughters and I took the Full Moon Kayak tour earlier this summer and it was spectacular. We saw the colors of sunset and the amazing full moon rising over the sea. Our guide was fun, friendly, and taught us a great deal about the natural life in the area. We saw loads of wildlife. It was a fantastic adventure and so much fun to be on the water at night, while also knowing that we would be safe!

My wife and I went on the Full Moon Adventure Kayak Tour- it was awesome! Perfect balance of information about how to kayak, the area and its ecology, some humor, and fun along the way. It was a relaxing and breathtaking experience.

Cruised around the Neighborhood on a bike fro Rideaway Adventures. I took a cruiser and it was the perfect thing for a ride around Poppy. I hadnt been on a bike in years so staff helped me pick the right height and had a helmet for me. Quick and easy to check in and out.

A bucket list item for me to check off! I am in to full moons, quiet water and seeing the area from a different perspective. This experience hit the bullseye for me. Thank you to Mike and Molly for adding your knowledge and expertise.

My 12-year old son and I had a lesson with instructor Brett. She was excellent with observation and guidance. We LOVED IT and would highly recommend with lesson before paddle boarding if you haven’t done it before. Brett got us up and running in minutes and I would go back again to rent. Will be paddle boarding whenever I can in the future.

My wife and I had a great time. Being a native Cape Codder you dont get to or think about the little getaways like this. The scenery was amazing during sunset and Katie our guide was awesome and informative. I will definitely recommend Rideaway to my friends and family.

Had a wonderful 2 hour paddle up the Mashpee River. Loved observing the ospreys, herons, ducks, cormorants, etc. Kayaks and life preservers were clean and in good condition. Staff was cooperative and helpful. We had to change our reservations several times. Had a few problems getting reaching someone on the phone. Once I got through, staff was extremely helpful. Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful guided kayak tour at Rideaway Adventures. The staff was kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. They were also very professional and carefully followed COVID-19 precautions, which we appreciated. My 14 year-old daughter and I had a great time and would definitely recommend this group to anyone visiting the area. In fact, we had so much fun that we came back two days later with the rest of our family and kayaked on our own for another couple of hours.

My kids love the camp and the counselors. The location is great for biking the kids there and back. We are looking forward to doing it every summer.

Rideaway put us in some kayaks after calling only a few hours earlier, and we have a lovely time kayaking and exploring Poppy Bay and the barrier beach too. We saw schools of forage fish, least terns and plovers, an osprey or two and fortunately, minimal boat traffic.

Brett was very patient and understanding with us, even though it was only our second time out in kayaks. She gave us lots of useful tips and information about kayaking, and also told us about the wildlife and scenery we saw on our ride.

Had a beautiful day on the water. We went in the morning with a knowledgeable and personable guide, Ryan. Next time? We should be up for a more challenging route but would definitely ask for Ryan again!!!

We took the sunset kayak tour with Brett. We were fortunate to have a perfect night. Brett was a gracious guide and set a peaceful mood. She spotted blue Heron hiding in the grasses along the marshes. The Osprey were waiting for us to show up and put on a nice display. Was a real treat getting so close. We docked at the Spit, took in the ocean views and paddled to the spot where we and other guided kayakers took in the sunset. We finished the night with tiny birds dive bombing for dinner around us and minnos racing along the top of the water. Thoroughlly enjoyed our tour.

Mashpee facility (7/30/21) - We actually had an Opsrey splashed down in front of us, as it was attempting to capture its lunch!!Staff is very helpful and the equipment is in EXCELLENT condition! it was our 2nd time there!BE WARNED it is slightly difficult to find. Make sure you plot in for directions to the New Seabury Marina BEFORE you get too close... Internet connection is fairly poor to none there.

We took two tours with Rideaway, a sunset tour and a lazy river. The scenery was spectacular, and the guides were warm, friendly and committed to helping in any way needed, whether this was teaching us how to be better at kayaking or teaching us about the habitat.

We had a great time doing the Cape Cod Explorer Tour out of the Mashpee location, launching from the New Seabury Marina.If youre not from the area, give yourself just a few extra minutes to navigate the winding roads leading to the launch site but once there, its smooth sailing (or paddling)! Parking lot has plenty of space and team members are there to meet you straight away. Necessary gear is provided but you can also rent a small dry bag for your phone, car keys, and/or wallet. Got one, but honestly could have done without, as the kayaks have adequate onboard dry storage...*and* its unlikely youll tip. :) Guides and staff handle portage of kayaks to the launch site, just about a minutes walk away, and help you launch onto the water.Will was our tour guide and we couldnt have asked for better! He grew up in the area and is incredibly knowledgeable about a number of topics. While he is a great conversationalist, hes also acutely aware of the surroundings and location of his tour members. He spent the trip guiding us from larger boat traffic and moving between family groups to keep the entire party engaged. Even witnessed him recognize and skillfully defuse a building sibling conflict by swiftly sliding his boat in between theirs and politely commenting Excuse me! as he paddled further forward. A+ move.The environment of the paddle is generally protected, calm waters. Most of the time is spent working through a residential area, viewing the homes, docks and boats of some well-to-do folks. There are some clever boat names to keep an eye out for. Great viewing of ospreys (in season). You also make it out to the spit, a strip of sand separating the ocean from the harbor. We were lucky to visit when we did, as we were able to spend some time walking out to a sandbar and see a number of locals digging for clams.Highly recommended for those looking for a casual paddle and would be particularly well suited to younger families (although we - including two teen daughters - thoroughly enjoyed it)!Our thanks to Will and the Rideaway Team for a great time on the water!

We had a great time using RideAway Adventures. We were able to set up a last minute reservation for 4. They had a good variety of various sized bikes. Pricing wasn’t bad and the area where we rode was beautiful. Lastly, we were able to increase our time while we were out without an issue. I would definitely use them again.

This was a great day in Cape Cod!

We hit up Rideaway two days in row! First was an awesome sunset kayak tour with Mike, who was an absolute pro, very knowledgeable, and an all around great dude. The next day we rented paddle boards, and Caylee (sp?) was there to greet us with a smile, give us excellent instruction, and she found my wife’s lost sunglasses from the day before! So overall, an amazing crew, highly recommended if you’re in the area.

We took the Sunset Kayaking Tour with Amy. She was a fantastic guide . . helpful, informative and just a delightful person! There were a total of six people on the tour which made it seem very personal. We kayaked to Popponessett Spit (Amy pointed out various sights along the way) where we were able to get out and walk around a bit. Amy gathered some sea creatures that had washed up on the beach and told us a bit about them and the birdlife in the area. I would highly recommend this tour!

I took my 8 year old son on the explorer tour and fromthe phone reservation with Michael to the actual kayak tour with Cali, we had a great experience. They were very friendly and Cali was amazing with us. She even called the morning of our tour because it was a foggy day, to see if we still wanted to come down to Mashpee. Fog and all we had fun. We will definitely be back.

What a great evening we spent kayaking in Mashpee last night. Cameron was our guide and he was a well trained Narrator. He always had safety in mind and he gave us information on all the pertinent things about Cape Cod and the wildlife, climate and weather patterns. He was a lot of fun for our group. We did the Sunset tour but I’m pretty sure I’m going back to try some more of their tours in both North and South locations.

Mellow and down to earth operation. Enjoyed this much more than expected. So peaceful to be out in a little kayak with the expanse of water all around. Would make an effort to come back next time we’re in the area.

Our family had a wonderful time Paddle Boarding with Rideaway Adventures this weekend. The staff were super friendly and informative, while ensuring the safety of each person in our group. Mike, Wayne and Katie definitely went the extra mile to demonstrate, explain and make sure each of us were comfortable on the water. Add that in with the Cape Cod Scenery and it made for a fun, memorable day. We would definitely recommend this tour to others.

We had a great time! Ride away was very accommodating to our party of adults and kids (4 & 6). Stopping at the spit was a great break. Anthony was super friendly and knowledgeable. He looked for hermet crabs and other interesting things to show the kids.

First time kayaking and RideAway Adventures made it a great experience! Will, our guide, was wonderful! He was mellow and let us set the pace with how fast/slow and how far we wanted to go. This was especially helpful when our littlest got tired. We did the lazy river tour and it was calm and cool. Lots of nature around to appreciate. Overall, an excellent experience.

The girls had a FABULOUS time. The equipment was top notch, the Poppy location, so beautiful! They had a tough time coming back in against the wind and offered to pay for an overage, on time (15-20 min). R.A. said not to worry. Highly recommend Rideaway.

Went on a sunset kayak tour with Will as our guide. We had an amazing time paddling to Popponesset Spit and hanging out on its beach. The kids spent about an hour in the water off the spit, finding hermit crabs on the landward side and swimming in the waves on the seaward side. Will was a world-class guide and was great with the kiddos. Unforgettable experience!
