I purchased a small amount of lumber from carter the other day. This was my 1st time trying carter because I am new to the area. There were a really helpful gentleman working, but 1 guy working in the lot was enough for me to write carter lumber off permanently. We had a larger quote being worked up that was emailed to us later that day that will not be purchased from them because of the bad seed worker in the lot. I should have just taken my business elsewhere.

Delivery driver blocked my driveway when he could have easily moved back to an empty cul-de-sac. When my wife asked him to move, he was very rude. I will rule Carter out in the future based upon his behavior.

I called to see if they had what I needed, they did and wrote the ticket, so all I had to do was pay for my purchase and do out to the yard and pick it up. The guy in the yard even asked me if I needed it cut. Good place nice to know its there. Ill go back!

Today was the Wednesday that temps dropped below zero. One of the forklift drivers told me to pull into a closed garage to untarp my load of OSB, and get out of the cold. He also helped me fold my tarps and get my straps together. They unloaded me really fast afterwards. Good guys working here.

First impressions say a lot about a company. My first time here tells me nobody here really cares about the trucker that brings them their material.People in the office were short and (seemingly) impatient.All I had to do was go around the main building to unload, but apparently I wasnt going fast enough for one of their employees who sped around me, going between me and other product on the ground, cutting me off from where I was told to go. So here I sit, waiting for some idiot who didnt have the patience for a large truck.I will be refusing any future loads to this place. If they cant show even a little common courtesy toward truckers, then they dont need to have me carrying their product.

Made delivery here, couldnt get straps undone fast enough, unloaded very quickly, and treated very good.
