McSwain measurement was over 100 square ft less (10%) than big box and we still had remnants with McSwain - dont know why two big box measurements were so much bigger. McSwain also uses contract installers but are inferior to big box installers. McSwain customer service struggled to coordinate - big box much better. However McSwain salespeople were far superior to big box sales people.

Currently most of my first floor is plywood (and has been that way for two weeks) because McSwain ordered my hardwood floors from two different “runs” and they don’t fit together properly. Now that the appropriate floors have been ordered and received, we can’t get BACK on the installation schedule until next month.I just love walking on plywood! The splinters are SO MUCH FUN! 🙄Would not use again.

I built a house and McSwain was the contractor for the floors. I am having a couple of issues with my hardwood floors. First the supervisor came out and documented all the repairs needed. I made an appt for the installer to fix. He comes out and says this is going to take more time than they allotted him. He leaves and says he will have them call me. I dont hear from them and within a few days I have reached out. This has been going on now almost 2 months. I call Stacy repeatedly and leave messages. I have sent several emails that go unanswered. Now, today I am sitting at home waiting for my repairs and they are a no call/no show. Absolutely the worst customer service ever! I am beyond frustrated at this point and just want my floors repaired.

So far so good.

Is amazing how people can change all the image, the persons in the store are amazing careful, nice, kind, helpful. They help to find my brand and the colors I was looking for, then I have the samples took to my home, and were not what I need so I returned and they change them for me. It was like home, THANK YOU. You are amazing.

The McSwain installer entered our home without a mask on a day that the state of Ohio and Hamilton County set new daily records for COVID-19 cases. I had to request that he put on a mask, which he wore momentarily. Shortly thereafter, his makeshift mask was removed. I was told by customer service that installers grow fatigued from wearing masks. If doctors and nurses on the front lines can wear masks for 15 hour shifts, surely a flooring installer can don a mask for a 15 minute interaction in a customer’s home. 229,000 Americans dead and counting from COVID-19 due to recklessness like this. I can’t change someone’s mind about the severity of this virus, but I can inform others of what they may encounter if they invite a McSwain installer into their home. In the words of Gov. Mike DeWine (R-OH), All of us must come together to fight this common enemy.Furthermore, the “measure twice, cut once” mantra does not seem to apply to McSwain. Part way through the installation process, I was informed that one bathroom could not be completed as the vinyl flooring had been cut to an incorrect size. No definitive timeframe could be provided for the completion of this project, hence I currently have an unusable bathroom with a disconnected commode for the foreseeable future.

Used Joe and the McSwain crew to put in hardwood floors at the home address and they CRUSHED IT! Quote was spot on and the installers could not have been more accommodating! Back for sure for the next project

Joe @McSwain in Mason was very pleasant & accommodating, allowing us to take samples home to see what worked for our kitchen remodel. He previously worked with us on our living room, master bedroom, front entry/laundry room, stairs and hallway. We recently moved to the east side of the city, but shopped with a McSwain location on the west side of the city in our previous home. We would definitely do business with McSwain again.
