In storage in store experience wasnt great. I ordered a product online it shed and processing. I went into the store and picked it up came to the register after waiting behind all of these people and Im told that I had to either buy it and let this order cancel or I could just not pick up the order and let it cancel? Is it really that big of a deal Im walking to the back of the store to bring you the product and you cant check me out? I could have gone to Walgreens it would have been so much easier.

The average rating this Ulta has is almost spot on. Somedays when I go in there, I have very pleasant nice people that want to help. At other times, the manager themselves acts too busy to even bother helping you. Its amazing how there is such a diverse mix of attitudes, but not actual types of employees that work there. Overall the store is clean, has plenty of items in stock, and more recently they have been asking if you need help. Mind you, this type of service took a long time. My advice to this store; hire more diverse employees, and managers that dont act inconvenienced when you require help when the store is a bit busy.

As a skin care junkie, this is one of my favourite stores. Theres a nice mix of higher end and drugstore products and sales are reasonably frequent. Annual events such as love your skin can provide discounts of up to 50%. While I love their sales I am less thrilled about their sampling. Other stores such as Sephora will provide free samples to encourage trying new products while ulta will almost never do this. Their clerks also tend to not have the expertise that I typically find in Sephora associates. All in all a nice store filled with friendly people with products at all price points.

Cashier Christianne is literally the biggest b word ever. She doesn’t even know how to do a simple online return and acted like I destroyed a product when the only thing wrong was the box was damaged during shipping.You’re just a cashier. Learn your place that the customer comes first.

I give this Ulta 5 stars because they really took great care of me! From Molly helping me find my perfect foundation color, to Hannah helping me find the perfect makeup brush set!! Dana checked me out and made sure I had everything I needed and more!! Such a great birthday trip to Ulta! My favorite, definitely recommend!

I went to get my hair done yesterday at this store which I have done in the past, I walked in a bright Platinum blonde and ended up walking out a brunette because the salon tech messed up my hair, didn’t know how to fix it, didn’t bother to tell me until I was three hours in the process my entire head was done in foils . 6 1/2 hours later I still had to pay for my hair it’s absolutely awful it’s not even the same color in the back and I did not want brunette I will be going in to speak with a manager today I love the store although I do not recommend the salon

Worst experience ever, wasted my time, and didnt end up purchasing anything. Before hopping in on the long line because there was only 1 cashier working, I asked one of the employees if my purchase was eligible for my coupon and she said yes. By the time it was my turn, it ended up not being eligible and I told her I was informed that it was. She didnt even apologize or try to fix the situation. Wont be coming back to this store

Its nice cosmetic store although nobody offer you any help even if the employee passes you by and you look at her directly. So, you need to go to one of them and ask for help. Still they act like you bothering them. So youd better know where the stuffs are and what do you want. You will enjoy shopping there in that case

Went to return $70 worth of foundation and concealer, and told the lady all the trouble I was having with it and she didn’t even move behind the counter. She just suggested NARS concealer in a pot- didn’t show me where to look or anything, go to look at the NARS set up you have in the store and you don’t even carry what she was talking about so thats great. I go in to that store all the time and it’s like crickets. I also worked at an Ulta and this is disappointing. I was willing to spend some serious cash to get this problem solved plus the $70 that I returned. But oh well thanks for nothing I mean I’m just so glad that you have TWO associates at the front door welcoming people and checking for masks, really two people? Wouldn’t even give it a single star but I had to for this to post.- One more thing, I promise I’m not trying to rant but take it how you will- I’m so sick of coming in there and your workers just recommend they’re favorite thing aka the newest thing out because they can barely even pronounce the name of. I don’t want your favorite thing in the store I want something that will work for me

I have gone to the Deerfield Ulta numerous times to get my hair done by Hannah and every time I go it is a wonderful experience. Super awesome store and a super awesome hairstylist! She is always very friendly and definitely knows what shes doing. I have very fine, thin hair and she takes very good care of it!

Always a great selection of products. Employees are super helpful if you can find someone available to help. I feel most Ultas it is difficult to find someone to help but when you do find someone it is always a great experience.Benefit Brow Bar is my favorite place to get my eyebrows done!

Just left this store and decided not to buy- I was looking at makeup and 2 female customers came up in a tight space. I walked away and came back since they took over the space. When I returned a staff member was trying to match her color. I tried to look at the products and they felt the need to step in front of me - including the staff member. She could’ve said excuse me or anything other than just getting in front of me. The staff shouldn’t use the aisle to match color for someone when someone else wants to look. It was a waste of my time to drive there specifically for this product. I have been shopping here for quite awhile and have never had anyone to ask if I needed help. I just go in and get what I need and pay for it. Will order from another store in the future. Very rude!!

Kendall did my hair and makeup for an event on Saturday and she did an absolutely amazing job. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted for hair or makeup and she was able to provide suggestions and give options of what would look good on me. I had my makeup done at 2pm and it still looked good at 11pm after a night of dancing in the heat and humidity.

Worst experience ever. Do not go here unless you want snobby stylists who think they are to good for you. Had an appointment yesterday which they called to say was over booked. So I had to reschedule for today. Once I arrived I waited over an hour past my scheduled time. Just to be told what I wanted done would take to long. The lady did not want to stay that late. She tried to get me to reschedule again. After being there for 5 hours I ended up with nothing like I asked for or wanted. Horribly done box looking job.

If I could rate zero stars I could. This is in reference the shipping and customer service, not the store associates or their products.In anticipation of my order delivery, I noticed the shipping address was incorrect. I tried to call customer service but I was put on hold for over 10 min and then the rep (julia?) disconnected the call.I tried to call back, spoke with Wolford, who put me on hold, for over 18 min. He never told me he was transferring me or what he was doing. He also never checked in to let me know what was going on. There was no hold music, so it was just dead silence.I was connected with a supervisor named Juan, who did nothing to address my concerns about poor customer service and refused to contact the shipper to update the shipping information. As the shippers contract is with Ulta and not me, I would expect your business to address any shipping concerns. Ive never had a company tell me, as the buyer, I have to follow up with the shipper! Thats just poor businesses decision. I did everything I could to make it right and your associates couldnt be bothered to help. Extremely infuriating and disappointing.I contacted Lasership, but they did not answer the phone in 30 min, so I submitted a request via their website. Im currently waiting on their response.Im extremely disappointed in the level of service Ive received from Ulta. This is a complete departure from the high quality Ive come to expect from your products and store associates. It really makes me question if I want to continue my relationship with the Ulta brand.

Been here twice with my girlfriend, both times checking out was a nightmare.After telling our cashier Caitlyn(spelling) we werent part of your rewards team, she just started asking us personal questions and unknowingly signed us up for a rewards cardShe tried to do the same thing with whatever credit card you people offer.Stop harassing us to purchase more products, stop asking for my email and home address, and for the love of God I dont want your cash back card.JUST LET ME PURCHASE THESE ITEMS

I never write many reviews because most times service is mediocre wherever you go.. At Ulta.. Julie literally made my day. Not only does Julie look like she knows about makeup.. Absolutely gorgeous and natural looking but she knows what she is talking about.Plus she was patient with me as my toddler was being crazy! I walked out of the store confident and with more knowledge than when I walked in. This girl is awesome!! Thanks Julie and Ulta staff!

If you want the best beauty service, stop and see Maddie at the MAC counter. She is so knowledgeable in what works for you. She will patiently help you with you foundation, lipstick, blush and whatever else you may need, while not only being professional but also super friendly. I’ve visited several Ulta locations and will drive the extra miles to go see Maddie for all my beauty needs bcuz the other employees do not give the time nor the knowledge that I find at the Mason location.

Usually fine, staff is friendly while walking around. But today when my credit card chip wouldn’t work, the cashier was very rude. She basically accused me of fraud, and didn’t ask how she could help or if I had another means of payment. She seemed to be the manager because she was training someone and barely had time to clear the line because of this.

I was not acknowledged from when I first walked in, until I left the store. I used to enjoy going to Ulta and learning about what was new in skin care and makeup. I no longer feel this way. In fact, Ive noticed within the past year, that the customer service has become nonexistent. I wont be back.

I usually go to the Ulta store in Eastgate, (which I love) so I was very surprised to see that this one had low ratings. But I was welcomed here and experienced none of the negative feedback that others have said. It was a great experience and if Im ever around again I wouldnt hesitate to stop by!

1st time trying Ulta. Nice selection. Make up and beauty products of all price ranges. However, their isn’t any customer service to go along with the options. I went looking for an affordable foundation. Walked all around for 15 mins. then settled for a brand that was new to me. Not happy with results and had to return. When I returned makeup, instead of rep offering to help me find something else, she just refunded money and let me keep wondering around knowing that I had returned it due to not happy with trying new foundation. Management has not trained proper customer service or sales.

Buyer beware of higher charges than expected at salon. I went in for a salon service that based on online information I expected to pay a certain price. After I was done, I was given a bill for $30 more....congratulations, you got me. You squeezed $30 more dollars out of me. Here’s the thing, I won’t be back to the salon. So, you got my money now, but not again. Your business practice is very shortsighted. On a side note, I like my hair. No response needed. I don’t need an apology and I am not expecting anything from you. Life goes on.

Im in the middle on this. I get my hair done at the salon and they are Great! However, we were. walking to the door and a worker literally RAN to the door to lock it. They close at 9 and it was about 8:55. Really?!?!? I get that she may have had a long day but, does customer service go out the window according to an employees mood???

I went to the salon here for all over color treatment when my regular stylist canceled last minute. The color result was good, the open chair area within the retail store felt odd, and the price was as listed in their brochure.

When I called with questions about something, I sat on hold for five minutes before someone picked up the phone. When I finally spoke to someone, she said, youre gonna have to call back in 20 minutes or so I asked why, and she told me they were too busy to help me. Another girl named Sydney who cashiered was very nice all the other times that I have been here, but other than her they are all rude and selfish.

Please dont support this specific store. I was a regular customer at the Benefit brow bar until my brow stylist left. I have witnessed the prestige manager ( Linda ) talk about the looks of customers while they are walking into the next isle. The woman that worked at Mac that was always kind and helpful told me that she quit after witnessing Linda talk nastily about another customer. Mary ( who I am assuming is a manager, older woman ) always has a mean and cant be bothered demeanor. I have personally witnessed the GM and Linda belittle the brow stylist that I went to for in front of other customers. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because of Jen, Julie, Maddie, and the other girl that works in makeup. They are always smiling, kind and helpful. I do not reccomend going to the current brow stylist, she is very nice but doesnt seem to know about the Benefit products and is very slow. Not impressed with this store, and wont be giving any more of my buisness. The Ulta at the Kenwood mall is better in terms of customer service.

Went for a brow wax as Ive done numerous times over the many years Ive been an Ulta customer. They didnt map it out like theyre supposed to, and they let the wax go halfway down to my eyelid from my eyebrow and still waxed that area. I now get to sport a red spot on my face in addition to my newly thinned out eyebrows and incomplete lip wax. Still had to pay though.

I was at this particular location today. I came to give a review and it seems I’m not the only one who has had an issue with rude, unhelpful staff.I’m disgusted in the way I was treated after asking for help picking a foundation color. The girl basically told me that I should pick a different foundation because it “oxidizes really bad”. After asking her why she said that she said, “It oxidizes on my skin really bad”. First, I don’t know if half the population understands what oxyidization is and second, people have different skin types. There wasn’t a recommendation for a different foundation, no explanation... she walked away from me.I cannot comment on the salon staff because I’ve never been to the salon for services.The *ONLY* reason I give this location 2 stars is because of Alyahs (sorry if I butchered the spelling). She is the Benefit rep at the brow bar. She has worked some serious miracles on my brows, is always super helpful and so very kind and personable. She will never recommend products you don’t need. She is the star of this Ulta location and could teach the other employees a few lessons.I’ll keep going to the Eastgate location, because the staff there seems to have it together.

I am a very frequent customer of Ulta, and was in the Mason area today so decided to ultimately visit the Deerfield location. I wasn’t at one point greeted or asked by a staff member if I needed help finding anything, which to me is bad customer service as I have worked in retail over 7 years, and know that is the first thing you do when a customer enters the store. Lastly as I was checking out an associate named “Jess” was ringing out customers with the most blatant attitude I’ve ever witnessed at an establishment. I literally never write reviews unless I feel I encountered outstanding service or something positive in regards to the business but I just wanted to warn other potential shoppers of what they might come across at this particular Ulta location.

I got my hair cut at the salon here by Julie. I did notice before my hair cut began that she had just gotten her license in 2017 which explains my horrible experience. To start off, she trash talked my previous hair dresser the whole time. She also didnt tell me she was going to put layers in my hair (Ive never ever had layers bc of my hair thickness and waviness) but she proceeded to put layers in. When I got home, I notice the left side was all one layer while the right side had a layer very far up that didnt blend in with my other hair at all. I ended up cutting my hair when I got home to the shortest layer bc it looked so bad. So save your $40 and just cut it at home!!

I was a bit hesistant after reading the reviews for this Ulta store lol However, I was in the area and decided to give it a try! I walked in and was immediately greeted and asked if I needed help. I asked Linda for Shape Tape by Tarte, so she took me over to the end cap and tried colors on me. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the color I needed, which is okay...I know it is really popular right now. She was really nice, friendly, & good customer service. Glad I stopped by! : )

I like the product selection in the store.The customer service is although very poor. The worst experience was, when I needed to restock some products from Nyx cosmetics. I was happy to notice, that there was a sign in the store about a promotion for Nyx; buy for 30$ and get 10$ off with online cupon. I picked up the products and went to the register to make my payment. The girl scanned all the products and asked for for 30$ dollars. I asked about the promotion, and she told me, that I have to go to Ultas website for the promo code, otherwise she would not be able to give me the discount. Already there, I was annoyed, that she didnt tell me about the promotion, as I was about to pay full price. If a customer is vision impaired, thats their own fault and they can pay full price, right? Anyway, she gave me the url adress for the promotion, and I opened the web browser on my phone. There were many customers in the store that day, and the line for the register was pretty long. My data connection in the area is slow, so it took about 3 min. to load. The url adress she gave me, was apparently wrong, and I then tried to open Ultas home page. After 2 min. it still didnt load, and I told her that this was ridiculous and people were waiting. I told her that I didnt want the products anyway. Then the manger came, and asked what the problem was. I explained, and she said no problem, Ill give you the discount. I then asked, why the girl at the register just didnt give me the discount, or asked for the manager; Im the only one who can do that, she said.When I got home, I found the promo code on Ultas website. It was a 5 digit code, which is the same every time, so the girl at the register should just memorize it, in stead of make such a big deal out of it and making people wait this long. And the answer to my question should have been I will not give you the discount, unless... insted of Im not able to give you the discount, unles... She could have given me the discount, she just didnt want to.Besides that, they rarely give you samples when you ask for it, even though, you have made purchase for a big amount. In Sephora, you can ask for a product sample of any liquid product, and they make that for you. Thats not possible in Ulta.

The only part that really had me dissatisfied was that I received a call that I hadnt paid for my salon visit however it was really that someone in training handed me back my slip and I called and acknowledge that the same day with a manager and yet the day after that I received a second phone call from The Stylist informing me that she was going to report me to corporate for non-payment even though I had paid and I had already fixed the problem with management the day before.
