I wish I can give zero stars. So I book my appointment online for a tire rotation and balance. The next day I call to confirm and I get a response. Her first words, Welcome to NTB what do you want, wait hold please. She puts me on hold for a solid 13 minutes. So I decide to just drive to the location to confirm my appointment details. Long and behold nobody was inside the lobby it was completely empty. The receptionist who put me on hold was on her cell phone texting. She wasnt talking to any customers over the phone and when I approached her she never once acknowledged me. By far the worst customer service experience.
I’m very glad I stopped by at this location, customer service was outstanding and very professional, I came in almost at closing time I had blown tire and Mr Ronny at the front desk was very helpful and professional he helped with what I needed done, I definitely will continue to come back to this location at independence blvd and definitely recommend it to everyone I know.
Came to get two tires and my battery checked. Was ‘assisted’ by Ron who already seemed less than thrilled to be helping me and didn’t try to hide it. I initially planned to purchase the tires and had begun to schedule the appointment but changed my mind as I wanted to shop around for a better deal at other stores. When I let him know that I’d changed my mind and the reason he wanted to know ‘What the problem was’ and if ‘I’d had some issues this morning because I had bit of an attitude’. Needless to say, they’ll be checking my battery only because it’s free, but I’ll take my ‘attitude’ and $500 elsewhere for tires at another store. Don’t come here ladies.
Really a zero star rating. The most inept “mechanic” place I have ever been to. I had a scheduled appointment at 10:30, when I came to sign in the manager up front shushed me then took a phone call. Then 11:45 comes I checked the parking lot to see if my car was at least in the service area, it was not. I told them I had work in a couple hours so I had to cancel this appointment. The manager then told me they were waiting to get in touch with autozone to order a part. Never go here period!!! They were just gonna have me wait all day I would have preferred common decency when they knew they had to wait on my part and give me a heads up if I wanted to stay.
They went above and beyond to get my vehicle fixed in a timely manner and kept us in the loop the whole time so there weren’t any surprises! Thank you! I highly recommend them for any of your service needs
This store has always provided me with the best, most honest, clear assistance with any of my vehicle needs.Today, I knew I would be there for a few hours for maintenance... the seats were all safely-distanced & comfortable.In the 6hrs that I waited, I saw over 20 customers arrive. There were 2 techs & an employee at the front of the store.They all worked so hard! The front desk person was kind & courteous with every single customer. Only 2 people opted out of service, because they arrived mid-afternoon, and there just was not enough time in the day for 2 techs to get their repairs done... the most pleasant mechanic shop experience, especially with so many things out of their control (like a pandemic).I hope this helps!
I went on Monday to get an oil change and they told me they wouldnt have time for it. So, they told me to schedule an appointment for the following day. The next day, I got there 5-10 minutes early and nobody was in the lobby. Eventually a man came in but didnt offer assistance until I got his attention and alerted him I had an appointment for 5:00. By this time it was past 5 and he informed me they probably wouldnt get to it.Apparently all of the technicians but one had left (some were sick, one never came back from lunch). He said let me see what we can do. At 5:35 he said they wouldnt get to it.I left work early to be here. This was my 2nd visit. I had a scheduled appointment. And I still didnt get my service. Not only unprofessional but the customer service itself was inconsiderate. We drove spent about 30 minutes in traffic for nothing. I understand that workers leaving is out of this mans control, but this was my second visit and I had an appointment. I dont recall any apology or offer to make things right. Will not be returning and will have to conduct business elsewhere.
I read all the reviews before trying this Service Center and felt great about getting my oil changed and a tire rotation. I walked into the establishment around 11:45-11:50am. The gentleman at the front was very kind and offered prompt service. I have a Chevy Cruze and was told that I have to use full synthetic oil. The gentle advised me I could use the blend. I told him I preferred the FULL synthetic oil and he said that was perfectly fine. My car was pulled in around 12:10(not bad at all). It’s now 2:07 and my car is still up in the air. I asked the gentleman (around 1:25-1:30p) if there was a hold up and he stated he “forgot” to order me an oil filter. I asked again around 2:00pm and was told the oil filter would be arriving any moment now. I didn’t mind the $78 oil change and I absolutely don’t mind waiting a while for the service because a tire rotation, inspection, and other things are included but it’s fairly ridiculous to wait THIS long for a simple service. The men at the front were great even the one who forgot my filter. The older gentleman apologized once they completed everything (2:40pm) and said waiting on the filter was beyond their control (even though I was told it had been forgotten initially) and took $20 off of the service. I am appreciative and appreciate the gesture but I will not be returning.
Cameron the store manager makes this place what it is. If you’re looking for professional fast and honest service go see this guy. Nobody else will ever work on my vehicles. Awesome service !
Cameron assisted me. He made me feel safe. I trusted leaving my vehicle needs in his care. I came in telling him that I had what felt like hesitation in my vehicle. I was scheduled for an oil change (By the way my appointment was scheduled for 5 p.m. I called and asked if I could come early and they accommodated immediately. Added bonus: go online and book your services. There is a discount code making the basic oil change $21.99. Additionally, there are flyers in store and the employees are mentioning that if you apply for an in-house financing card, you receive 0% interest for a year and a free oil change that day - even if youre not approved!) He recommended a few options that wouldnt break the bank. I also overheard him speaking to another woman customer on the phone. Apparently she was riled up because she didnt let him finish what he was saying in responseto her phone inquiry; and she assumed he was about to divulge the worst. He went on to explain that it was not as bad as she thought. Long story short, Im a woman. I came in alone to get my car worked on. That can be frightening. I definitely recommend based on my experience with NTB, and Cameron in general, and will be back!

I got my alignment done there today. It was done in under an hour. Handled my manual car very well. Also they were very nice and honest would go back again definitely.

One of the best places if not the best place to get tires. The price for the tires I purchased were unbeatable. Steve and his guys are great. Very knowledgeable and very friendly. I have used NTB a couple of times in the past but after the experience I had today they will have my business all the time for brakes or shocks or tires or a front end alignment whatever the case. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!!!!
Got an oil change, tire rotation and cleaned corrosion off the battery. Had an appointment which I was a few minutes early for and I’m still waiting an hour and forty-five minutes later. I had to ask for an update on the progress to which the reply was “shouldn’t take too much longer.” An employee has only been at the desk for a third of my time sitting here, lots of phone calls missed. Not to mention the waiting area looks like it isn’t cleaned very often. Pretty unacceptable for a service business.
The Store manager Cameron is so nice and attentive! The service manager Kevin, was nice as well. Even though they had discrepancies with other customers, they kept it professional the entire time. I hate to get my car serviced, but this is my go to place whenever I need things done because I know theyll get it done correctly the first time.
Very very bad experience with this shop, they are make a lot of mass during doing simple alignment on my BMW when I am come back and complained about what they doo manager is denied what they mistake, Never again any business with NTB
NTB on Independence in Matthews is my go-to tire place. Whether I need new tires or just a pressure check, Manager Cameron James is fantastic--very customer oriented and honest. Even when I just drop in, they always fit me in. Highly recommend.
I had the opportunity to work with Cameron, Chip and Evan. What a great group of people! They provided great service and compassion. I was informed of a very shocking situation with my car (one tire had 2 lug nuts holding it on and another had rusted lug nuts) along with other required maintenance. I dont want to even imagine what couldve happened to me on the road. They ensured that I was constantly informed and even stayed late to be sure I was at a safe driving level before I left. This was my first time doing business there but it will not be the last. Thanks again guys!

When in today for an full synthetic oil change. They told me over the phone yeserday it would be about $50 with their $20 off coupon. When I checked in they presented me with a ticket for $89.99. They lied and were unashamed about lying saying Thats just the way we do business. Avoid this place at all cost. Its a sham.
Pretty bad. Made an appointment early this morning for 3 oclock this afternoon. When I arrived at the store I checked in and sat down. Tim told me they were running behind and it may be a little while before they could get to me. 15 minutes later they told me they wouldnt be able to get me out until 6 oclock. I do understand things can come up but three hour wait when you have an appointment scheduled already its pretty bad, but even worse when they dont call you to tell you about it.
I am one of those people where if I get bad service, I simply wont return. I dont fill out surveys or write reviews unless absolutely warranted. This is one of those cases!! .... I had a set of 4 tires I needed swapped off one set of rims to another for my sons truck. We also ordered 4 OEM Tire Pressure Sensors to install since the others were older and one was no longer working... We made an appointment and dropped the truck off in the morning so NTB would have ALL DAY to complete. During the day, NTB called my son to try and upsell him over $3000 of addition work we did not ask for. We declined all service other than the tires. When my son got there after 5 pm, the truck was still not ready (again, they had all day to replace 4 tires) - once complete, my son got in the truck and found the same tire pressure sensor warning! He had to go back in and NTB claimed one of the new sensors we provided must be bad and nothing they could do.. The Following week, my son drops by my house and I inspect the tires only to discover THEY HAD ONLY SWAPPED TWO OF THE 4 TIRES WE PAID FOR!! -- I had my son make another appointment today. He got there on his appointment time and was told 45 mins.. TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER he pulled away.. I have NO faith they actually installed even one of the 4 brand new TPMS sensors I paid for and provided to NTC to install. We were also charged more then what they quoted!! ... I feel they are shady and dishonest. VERY poor experience ..
Very POOR customer service. I called in advance to see about buying and mounting a tire on a rim. I asked if they could do it quickley and she said they could. Go there still says can do it quickly and will charge $30 dollaras for tax and mounting on a $65.00 tire. After waiting for 40 minutes and they had not touched the tire, I got it and left. I am looking to purchase 6 new tires but not with that service. I believe the problem is they THINK they are fast. But when a guy in a Porsche pulled in, there were 2 technicians ran to service it when other customers were waiting.I wont go back and recommend you dont either.

Have been here multiple times over the years and have always had a good experience. This week we were having a strange issue with our new vehicle not getting air into the tires. Decided to try here before going to the dealership, and they were super friendly and helpful when I stopped by. They will definitely get our business first in the future!
I actually had given up on NTB because of an experience that I had with the company last year. But Joey, Steven And Cameron in MATTHEWS NC was able to make me think different about this company. Anyway to tell my story I went to them to check out my car because someone kept telling me that I have bad tires and I need a new shocks. So my car just kept shaking every time I get up to a certain speed. Went into the store and talk to Joey. They were friendly people good to talk with good to hang out with made me feel comfortable.But the most important part about the story is I didn’t need new tires I did not need shocks I walked out of that store spending $21.21 sounds like a double blackjack. They could’ve easily told me I needed all those items and it costing me hundreds of dollars but they were honest and thorough and I could not be any happier.
Been coming to this store for years. Dealt with Cameron recently and he was great. Personal and knowledgeable. Only thing this store needs to fix is get an outlet off Sam Newall Road!
This place is awful. I waited 2 hours to be told the tires a requested were not in stock after calling ahead and making an appointment and being told the tires were there.
If I could give them less than a 1 star, I would. *Long*I have been trying to get the same part fixed on my car for the last 3 years. Every time I come there is a new manager and new regional manager. I have been contacted them on multiple occasions and still have yet to hear back from them. I have called multiple times and no response. I have asked them after the 3rd time they tried to fix my car for my money back because they clearly dont know how to fix the issue. They refuse to give me my money back and still my car is not fixed. One of the managers actually stated sometime we used cheap parts which is maybe why it keeps going out. What type of manager said that?!?! They have more turnover for managers, then anything I have seen before. I know for a fact there have been 3 new managers at this location since my original visit in 2017. I will never recommend this company to anyone.And please dont try to contact me after this review seeing that I have been contacting management for the past month and a half.
Had a 2:30pm appointment. Drove an hour for them to tell me that they could not do my oil change because my check engine light was on. Why was this not asked while booking the appointment? Complete waste of time.

Very unprofessional managers and a crew that does and very poor job! Got 4 new tires but on my Honda CR-V two weeks (7/30/20)and go and the Front driver side tire went flat on Sunday (8/9/20). Went to go take it off and one of the Lugnuts was cross threaded. So now I’m back here again and there in no hurry to help. Been here for an hour and a half. Still waiting on the job they should have done right the first time. Annie is the only one trying to help but she not the Manager so it only goes so far.
The place is great I had a wonderful experience at the store. The store manager Thom is really great at customer service he went out of his way to make sure my car got fixed. He kept me updated on what was going on and everything ... Also the front lady was great they both made my wait a wonderful experience. Thank you for all that you do and keep up with the store signs they make me laugh.
Sitting here for 3 hours waiting on a new set of tires to be installed. This is with an appointment, tires chosen and verified in stock all in ADVANCE. So far, all Ive gotten is an upsell and list of things I may need down the road and not the 4 tires I do need and came for. Stop the upsell and PUT ON THE TIRES!

These people lied to me about a tire with a nail in it. My tire had a nail in it. I’m sure it could have been repaired but they brought my tire out with a screw driver looking object in it saying it was unrepairable and tried to charge me 120 $ for 1 tire. They do shady business.
I went for first conventional oil change and tire rotation, first oil change since Covid 19 began.Watched storm clouds move in from the west and south while tornado alerts chimed in on my cell phone. Mechanics kept on working!
Tire and repair shop. New tires and some repairs that we competitively priced. Delivered when promised. Can be busy at times. Cordial staff. Sometimes difficult to get into off a busy Independence Highway but not their fault. Places to eat and shop within walking distance if you need to kill time while waiting.
This place did amazing. I had such a wonderful experience here. I also enjoyed my experience with the store manager Tom. He is an amazing guy and very nice. He even goes out of his way to speak to everyone while they wait and to check on the progress of each and every vehicle himself and keeps you updated as to how much longer you will be waiting for your vehicle to be finished. I highly recommend this place. Believe me you will have a positive experience as well.

I had visited this store to get my oil changed it was done quickly and professionally I only use NTB no matter where I’m at!!! the staff is always nice to me!!! i really enjoyed Cameron at my most recent visit at the location in Matthews NC... he is an character...he was very entertaining and a sweet guy and Romeo was very nice an helpful also.... for these kind of employees is why I’ll alway continue to be an NTB customer!!!!

I have been a customer of this tire kingdom for about 4 years getting my car service for any type of work needed. I am always stratified with the work and customer service they have always provided. I got my car service recently oil change, tire rotation, ignition coils, spark plugs, brakes and disc. I also in the past got tires, tune ups, filters, fuel system cleaning, and many other services they offer. I will continue to take my car to this shop. Thank you for everything and always taking good care of me.
I DID BUSINESS WITH COSTCO TIRE INSTEAD!!!!I came to change my tires but I was told that I had a bad wheel studs and the manger wasn’t willing to continue with tire change and was advising me to have them fix it at their shop!I am mechanically experienced person and I was sure nothing was wrong with wheel bolt studs by looking at the bolt threads!But I still went to Costco tire center for second opinion, the tire staff looked at those wheel studs and said that there is absolutely nothing wrong with it!It’s obvious NTB was just trying to make a Dollar off of something that does not need to be done! Doing shady business is not gonna grow your company in the long run!Btw they took my car into their garage 2hrs and 45min after my appointment. Be ready to wast approximately 3hrs of your day for a basic tire change.

I went to NTB because I was told (by the dealer) I needed brakes and rotors. I just got brakes and rotors one year ago (from another NTB location) almost to the day. I called and discussed with Cameron and bought it in for a diagnostic. He and the NTB team worked diligently to diagnose and repair timely and he was willing to work with me! Very patient, kind, and understanding!
Ive had really bad experiences here so I only go here because I had bought my tires here. I went for a rotation and balance and I could see that there were 4 open bays and one vehicle in the air but it was going to be almost 2 hours before my car would even get pulled around. They change management every few months so that speaks a lot in itself the type of place it is. I have never seen the same manager twice in 2 years.....once I have to buy new tires again, I hope they dont have the best deals.UPDATE!!I made a review and was invited to write to the corporate form. I went back again today to get the work done and give another chance. Once again 4 empty bays 1 employee in the back and 1 standing around in the front and I am told 2 hours for a rotate and balance. This is a horrible location and the constant management change is evident of that. If I hadnt purchased the tires here (which was another extremely horrible experience) I wouldnt be back for any service. And wouldnt you know it, as I am writing this a tech just came squealing tires around the corner in a customers car! Horrible horrible location, no professionalism here.
I was quoted $225 to replace a oil pressure sending part in my 2010 Tahoe. Other places quoted much more and would use the part that I had already purchased. The customer guy named Tom went above and beyond by looking up simpler ways to do the job. I had told him over the phone that I had looked it up and it could be done within an hour. He said he will see what he can do. He personally looked up the repair and did the job in 45 minutes. Then he charged me $88 for the time spent doing the job! What a relief that a repair shop would just charge you honestly rather than what they think they can! Thank you Tom! Give him a call and tell him Javier sent you!
I came in for a tire rotation and I also told them about a vibration when I broke. They diagnosed the problem and didn’t try to up sell me. They were great and when I thought it was a safety issue they explained that it wasn’t and they saved me hundreds of dollars I thought I needed to spend. They are honest and this is a great place to take your cars!

Have purchased tires from here for at least 15 years. Will not do again. Bought 4 Michelin tires and at one year and 20k miles, they said 2 tires needed to be replaced. Michelin offered 40% discount. Unfortunately I had a family member helping me so they agreed to this deal. Will not use NTB for not standing behind what they sell and will not purchase Michelin tires ever again.
DO NOT Trust this place!!! I wish I could give negative starz. A few years ago I was the last customer after waiting all day for a rear brake job. As I was pulling out onto independence boulevard there was a loud noise and jolt in the truck. I look over and my rear tire is passing me in the hwy. I stopped traffic grabbed my tire and saw the last employee about to leave for the day and was able to stop them. Turns out they forgot to put the lug nuts back on. After wanting to file a lawsuit against them I regretfully accepted a deal for lifetime alignment to let it go. Since then it seems Everytime I need an alignment there is nothing done from when I bring it it maybe a toe adjustment. Until this last time. I received a call from the manager saying that they tech had taken my tie rods apart and couldnt. Get it to align and didnt know why they then tried to charge a specialty alignment because they arent sure what was wrong. After I picked my truck up immediately I knew something wasnt right m y steering was unstable way worse than before they had my alignment so far off by the time I got homeone of the tierod end broke and caused me to drive unit my neighbors ditch these guys are playing with peoples lives carelessly abdd unless you dont care about your life and those around you I would stay away

As they were changing my oil, they must have checked my brakes as well. Told me I needed brake pads. I went somewhere else and they told me my pads looked almost new. I surely won’t go there again!!
Dont trust these people. Went to the shop for some routine maintenance and everything they told me turned out to be a lie. I had to go elsewhere to get some real service. Find another NTB location or better yet, just go to another shop.
This is place is hit or miss, more hit than miss however. Thankfully theyve gotten a little better now that they are NTB and not Tire Kingdom but you can still expect to wait ridiculous lengths of times for basic services even with an appointment. Usually an appointment means quicker service and turn around times but not with this place. At the time of this writing I am 2 1/2 hours into my appointment and my truck still hasnt even been moved from the parking lot. Im sure this is due to corporate standards of cramming as many people on the schedule as possible. The prices on tires are decent especially during certain sales but the prices for basic maintenance services is absolutely ridiculous and you would be much smarter to go elsewhere
I love the price for an oil change and tire rotation--about $20 for their unadvertised special--but plan on waiting between 2 and 3 hours because it will take them that long. I like the price but the time involved has me looking at other options.
Not as happy today as in the past. I can relate with being short handed and swamped, but Im questioning a few things that I tried to clarify when I made the appointment. I have been a very loyal customer, but honestly I will probably not go back unless it is for tires only (if then).
After being turned away at the nearby Walmart at 7:00pm, I called here and was told they would change my tire if I didnt mind that it may not be finished until 8 or 8:30. I arrived around 7:30 and was checked out and complete by 8:00. Super efficient and courteous set of guys! Will definitely go back again.
Nice job. I had called another NTB, but they could not work me in for the service I needed that day. I called the NTB on Independence Blvd, and they found a spot and worked me in to their line up. That team did a nice job of making me feel welcome, and they provided the requested services on time and economically. I was able to use a 10% discount coupon (which made my experience even better).
24 hours to order parts and they forgot to order. Came in at my appointment time just to find out that they do not have the parts and dont know when they will have them. Sad!

Cheapest new tire Ive bought in forever. Super friendly service with a clean, comfortable facility. I was visiting family in Charlotte when I got a flat tire and NTB made the situation much less stressful than it could had been.

This was the very worst experience Ive ever had over an oil change. I had a coupon, and an hour lunch break during a very busy work week and thought, Sure, Ill go here.I made an appointment for 12pm. I got there a little early, signed in (which took fifteen minutes alone), and waited for an hour for my oil change. I scrolled through some of these reviews and thought, Hm, I should have read these first, because its been over an hour, I am late to get back to work, and I can tell the other customers in this business are also frustrated.By 1:10pm, they handed me back my keys, I paid and they said I was good to go, my struts were shot and I needed them to be replaced. I needed to rush back to work, but as I was leaving, I heard the mechanic say to the sales associate, The car you just pulled around didnt get its oil changed. I went to my car, saw that they had not replaced the mileage sticker, so I came back inside and asked what mileage I needed to get the oil changed again, and verified that the mechanic in the back was not referring to my car, correct? I was assured by Chris that the car he was discussing was NOT mine. So I got my mileage sticker and left.Fifteen minutes later, Chris calls me back and says, Well, they were actually talking about your car. So now you need to come back in and we will refund you and change it for free. Nice, right? Except that they were not flexible with the timing around my already hectic schedule, and I did NOT have another hour to waste, let alone ANY trust for this business. They lied directly to me when I asked them to verify that my car had an oil change, but rather than go back and check with the mechanic to be absolutely certain, they charged me and sent me on my way. Thank goodness they alerted me otherwise my engine could have been destroyed.Additionally, I had to physically go back to the store to get a refund, which took another TWENTY minutes because somehow they didnt know how to do a refund through the computer.I am frustrated, exhausted, and completely done with this business. It needs better management and communication, and it needs to learn how to give genuine customer service, or else they will continue to have bad reviews and unhappy customers. Im willing to give NTB another try, just absolutely not this location.

While the employees were nice, they were not very knowledgeable or professional. At my expense, they were guessing at which parts COULD need to be replaced to fix my daughters car. After getting it towed to someplace else, we were told they were way off about the parts needed and had the car fixed for a fraction of the price. They even called us to tell us it was ready to be picked up, but once we got there, they said it needed ANOTHER part, so it was not fixed. Then they told my daughter she could drive it through the weekend. I wish I could post a picture of that her steering wheel looked like and a video of the noise it made when she tried to drive it. Seemed pretty dangerous to me!! They’re clueless and we will not be returning.
Made an appointment for an oil change. After over an hour they hadnt even pulled my car in so I had to leave.

Man look, Im here as i write this and i was compelled to say how much of a great shop this place is. The consistency in service, customer service, the personnel the 📺 is iffy but the only one thats perfect is jesus 😅 but seriously i would recommend this place to ANY one on ANY day. Not only helpful but educational as well and for a random fact geek like myself its hella appreciated. I love this place and its employees Mr. Rob is my GUY! Thats all i got, enjoy your day folks ✌

I normally have such a good experience with NTB, but my experience on Saturday was not up to the usual standards. I had an appt for an oil change at 10am, and I arrived around 950 to make sure I got checked in. They immediately checked me in and I went to the waiting room. I walked out of the waiting room at 1145 and they were just pulling my car in to start the work. I ended up not leaving until 1pm. There is no reason an oil change should have taken 3 hours at least it never has in the past. If it had been a drop off appointment that would be a different situation but it was not. I ended up having to cancel another appointment because the oil change took so long. A little communication with me to say hey this is taking longer because we are backed up or something would have made a HUGE difference because I could have planned around it. Will definitely consider going somewhere else for an oil change next time!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! NTB took a perfectly functioning car and rendered it nearly useless. I took it to them for an oil change on a Wednesday. Thursday morning my white/clean/new concrete driveway has a single oil spot on it. Friday morning another, Saturday yet another. I take it in Saturday and tell them it has been leaking since they changed the oil. Oh well you have several oil leaks. Quite a coincidence I have only 3 oil spots in my driveway for each of the three nights after you serviced my car. Obviously they will admit no fault and dont have the capacity to logically see that they caused the issue. I look forward to seeing what a true mechanic says is wrong and what the possible causes are. I can guarantee you a coincidental, post service, multi point leak scenario will not be his answer. I truly hope my words here today can save at least one person from becoming a victim of this places neglectful and shoddy workmanship. I, along with my entire family and friends, will gladly pay the dealership or an independent person a premium before ever using NTB or any brand associated with them ever again.
An hour and a half for an oil change and tire rotation. Hardly anyone in there and I made an appointment. They told others that came in that new tires and an alignment takes an hour and a half. All with no prior warning of delays
Bought a set of Continental tires a couple months back and felt a little shake in my steering wheel. Drove into the East Independence location and the manager Dillon was able to fit me into the schedule. I walked next door for breakfast and when I returned I had to sit no more than 15!! All in all, they did a fantastic job getting my Escalade riding smooth again and got me out the door within 2hrs which is AWESOME considering I didnt have an appointment!!10/6/18I returned to NTB to have them address a very slow leak in one of my tires. Store manager Dillon took it upon himself to check the situation and found that there was corrosion around the bead of my chrome wheel. He polished the area smooth and the problem is now resolve!!!! Way to go Dillon!!!
Experienced the worst customer service since I started having my vehicle serviced at NTB Matthews, NC. I purchased 4 tires and have had other services completed at this location with satisfactory customer service over the years but today was totally different. Judith G., who was working the front counter on March 30 was far below the norm of professionalism that I had experienced in the past. I arrived for an oil change and tire rotation. My vehicle was pulled into the stall right in front on the waiting area that I was seated. I watched the technician pulled so close to a pole that he could barely get out of the car. I watched him struggle to get out as well as watched if my door would get dinged. I never saw him rotate my tires which I assumed required taking the tires off the vehicle (this didnt happen). After 45 minutes Judith came into the waiting area to inform me she would be providing me with recommended repairs and my vehicle was almost done. I wondered if she would tell me why the tire rotation wasnt done but instead I received my bill for the oil change and a list of recommended repairs totaling close to $2000. She did not provide any explanation of the recommendations nor did the technician who worked on the vehicle. I just got this list and sent out the door. As I sat in my vehicle and reviewed the list I felt a need for further explanation. After 5 minutes I went back into NTB to ask to speak to the technician. By now Judith was working with a customer and another one was waiting. In between these 2 customers I asked Judith if I could talk to the technician who worked on my vehicle to which she informed me that he clocked out for lunch immediately after working on my vehicle. I ask to talk to someone else and she told me they were all busy, so I decided to wait it out because I needed further explanation of the recommendations. By this time there were more customers arriving and waiting to be helped. Finally a young man came from the back and asked if anyone needed help and I immediately accepted and showed him the list. On the list there were two different and costly repairs that needed done and I wanted to understand the urgency of getting the repairs completed as well as the hierarchy of them (which needed to be done first). You would expect an automotive service company would take time to provide this immediately as opposed to sending you out the door with a list of recommendations totally $2000. I am not including the recommendation services in this review in hopes that the corporate office will contact me to follow up. If that person is Judith I will not expect a call.
Ok service not to bad... pretty quick to change my four tires... I was there for one hr only... I would go back... price not to bad also...
We arrived at NTB the evening before Thanksgiving, needing to buy a new tire to replace a damaged one. We didnt realize they were already closed, but there were two managers in the lobby and they let us in. We had already been to another tire store, which told us to come back on Friday, but at NTB, they welcomed us in. Even though all the mechanics had left for the evening, the managers, Jay and (?), took our damaged tire into the garage and replaced it on our rim with a new tire. They found a reasonably priced tire, as well.They went above and beyond what they could have done - they took the time to help us and treat us like human beings, on an evening when they were ready to go home and be with their families. They were friendly and welcoming and gave us great service. I highly recommend NTB in Matthews.
Drove all the way home after an oil change to find my filler cap wasnt installed. Called them to complain and explained I lived 15 miles away (because the NTB in Monroe shut down, hmmm???) and they told me to bring the vehicle back to them. Now, had my sienna not had a shield inside the filler tube to prevent excessive loss of oil loss because of this mistake, I could have done serious engine damage driving another 15 miles.. This was not the case for me because of the shield. After spraying a smaller amount of oil all over my engine I actually still had too much oil in my engine.The only reason I went here in the first place was because I purchased my tires from them and free rotations came with the purchase. However, they would not rotate my tires because the fronts were worn more than the rear. Mind you they all still had tread life on them but NTB said this was a DOT rule. Sounds like a good way for them to get you to buy more tires from them sooner than need be if they would of just done what was promised to begin with.Later that week I rotated the tires myself and had to replace 4 lug nuts and 2 wheel bolts because the lugs were over tightened by them the last time they actually did rotate the tires.
I called ahead for an appointment but was told to just come in, so I did...two and a half hours later I had tires rotated and aligned.
Absolutely terrible communication between the front receiving desk and the mechanics. took my car in for a few things, first and foremost was to check a tire that was loosing pressure. went to pick up my car and the tire was obviously still low and unchanged from when it had been dropped off. mechanics said they could not see any holes or nails (and did not even see my low pressure light still ON), then proceeded to tell me, the customer, that i needed to fix communication with the front reception. no, i dont work for u guys. fix your own workplace intercommunication. after pressing them, and retelling the situation over and over to each new person pulled front, they finally checked the tire with soap, and sure enough it had slow leak from a hole. smdh, DUH! i simply just dont trust the work being done here anymore!
I was treated very well. I met the manager and he immediately started showing me tires that might suit me well. When they put my truck up on the rack they also noticed a couple of other problems that I was not aware of. Normally, this is a red flag for me but after they showed me the issues I was more than happy to let them fix my truck. I installed four new tires and also had shocks and idler arms replaced. My truck literally went from sounding like it was going to fall apart to a truck that felt like I was riding on memory foam. I was very happy. I also had them work on my wifes Lexus. They did quite a bit of work on it ... also work that I was not aware of because, once again they SHOWED me the problems in her engine. Mainly, bad gaskets on an old car. They were able to fix the brake problem and replaced the valve gasket for a fair price.. What REALLY impressed me was two follow up issues that I needed them to look at. I had an issue with both my truck and my wifes car after the repair. Neither of them were really bad, but they immediately responded and solved both issues in an extremely professional way. I will let them work on both my vehicles in the future. I was not rude to them in any way and they were very professional and friendly during the entire ordeal. They are a little busy at times and I noticed some people had to wait a while.. but they were hiring when I was there and that might make a difference.
Idiots. I stopped going there. Dropped my truck off for tire rotation while eating lunch. Came back and rotation wasnt done. Said they had a question. My cell number was in big numbers across the work order and they didnt call. Said it would be another hour. F-that, I left.
Very rude staff. customer service is not a priority there. Made an appointment to see what could be done with tires with excessive wear. Staff admitted the problem was that their staff never aligned the car when installing the new tire and then attempted to charge us over $500 for replacement tires for their mistake!!!
Brought my classic car in to Sean to get an alignment done with a couple specific requests. All went well and the car tracks nice and straight. Thanks!
Quick and knowledgeable. I have a tire balance, align, and roatation plan which made everything smooth and easy.
The work is good. But, they take forever! Over an hour for an oil change, almost twenty minutes to replace a headlight. Miscommunication between front desk and workmen.Only coming back here for my free oil changes, or if other stores are closed because it is late in the evening.
Honest and professional staff who do good work
I came here because I had purchased an alignment package. I went to the NTB on Tryon St, had an appt. and didnt get my alignment because they had someone on the lift and couldnt get that truck aligned after 3 tries. I went to this location, made an appt and was in and out in no time. marquis at the desk was very kind and i wouldnt hesitate to go back to the independence location.
Great place to get car done.
After many poor service experiences with my wife at the boys across the street, I tried these guys. Excellent folks. This is my new spot for basic services on all my cars.
Have been with Tire Kingdom since 1989. Now its NTH service is still good. Will continue to do business with NTB.
