We love Mike, Jennifer (our piano teacher) and Mike Graci Music Lessons! Two of my boys began piano lessons in August 2021 with Jennifer. Both boys are interested in more than one instrument and Mike gave me good advice when I first called about which instruments to start with and when to think about beginning a 2nd one. He has been so great to work with from the beginning as far as coordinating lessons and communicating regularly about things going on at the studio. Jennifer quickly and accurately assessed both boys interest and ability level and adapted her approach with each from the beginning to better meet their different learning styles. We have a 3rd boy who has autism, and I asked Mike about the possibility of him taking lessons. He shared that they do serve students with special needs and that we would be welcome to have him go for a lesson to find out if he would enjoy it and would like to take lessons. I cannot say enough good things about our experience!

Not only is Mike Graci one of the finest musicians around, he also runs a great music school. The facility is top notch with the best instructors in Charlotte. I had a specific schedule request and Mike bent his own policy to accommodate me. Grateful for that! Garrick is a phenomenal drum instructor and I’m really enjoying my journey at Mike Graci Music!

It is worth to come from Charlotte to learn beginner’s piano lesson and vocal course for my daughter 6 years old.It has been for three months with amazing piano and vocal teacher. This studio is really recommended for any age with various courses.I am really satisfied with the courses’ flexibility and consistency.

A great place for music lessons! Easy scheduling and a very cute studio. Our son has had a great experience with drum lessons. He’s very young but they teach all ages. I wish we had found them sooner.

Doug and Mike have been amazing! We started the first week before Covid and I didn’t know how the virtual lessons would look! Doug is beyond patient with my 6 year old learning the ukulele. He gives positive feedback for the smallest progressive stroke! This past week was the first time Lucas was like “I want to play the ukulele” before that he was touch and go. We’ve really made some progress and are so thankful for Doug!

My two sons are really enjoying their lessons at Mike’s studio. We take piano and guitar with Doug who is amazingly patient and enthusiastic with both kids. He’s highly trained and really knows how to make learning fun! This is a studio that understands kids can begin learning instruments at a young age. My boys are 6 and 7. My wife and I searched for Lessons and found Mike. It has been a great experience to be learning under the guidance of a drummer / professional like Mike. My middle schooler has just started lessons with Mike and so far it’s been a positive experience. My son is getting ready to play percussion in band this Fall and we wanted to help him have some summer training to feel confident in band when school resumes. We choose to do two lessons a week to really give my son a good head start.

Ive been a drummer my whole life, but after high school/early college I fell off a bit and only played recreational drumming here and there. Needless to say, I got a bit rusty and picked up some bad habits. And once I moved to Charlotte, I had no drumming connections and needed to rebuild from scratch.If youre in my situation (not someone learning drumming for the first time, but wants to improve their experience), Mike is a great instructor. He isnt just for kids learning to play the instrument. Before my lesson I heard him working with someone who was just starting to drum, then when it was my lesson he clearly adjusted between skill levels. Its obvious that he knows how to teach all levels of drummers.Within a minute of me playing for him, he noticed exact issues I knew I had trouble with. And as Im doing my homework, I can tell hes selecting practice plans for me that force me to work on those issues. Im only a few lessons in, so I cant speak on long-term improvement yet, but this is definitely a good place to start. If youre a drummer trying to improve your skill set and knowledge, Mike is a great resource.Do prepare for purchasing a couple of books within the first few lessons on top of the normal cost, so your first month will probably be a little more expensive than the rest. Nothing crazy, but dont be caught off guard if youve got to buy a $20 drumming book. Its totally retail cost, he doesnt up-charge them or anything. Its 100% worth it!Im really looking forward to being proud of my drumming again!

Mike has taught our son Ben for over 4 years. He started taking lessons when he was 4 years old. Mike did an excellent job keeping the material relevant for Ben at every stage. Mike was also really good about increasing the level of difficulty in the lessons to challenge Ben without being overwhelming. Mike was also great about working with our schedule when we needed to occasionally change times (summer vacations etc). There was also a time when Ben had the opportunity to play drums at school and Mike came and helped set up the drums and watch him play. We would highly recommend Mr. Gracie to anyone that has a desire to learn how to drum.

My 11 yr old son has been taking drum lessons with Ryan and he has already learned so much in just a few months. Not only does he offer great in-home drum instruction, but he is also very good about re-scheduling lessons if necessary and communicating via text. I have really enjoyed taking drum lessons from Mike over the last 6 months. Mike has really been an excellent teacher and adaptable to my situation as a hobbyist. He provides a well balanced lesson that includes snare rudiments and techniques. We play different genres of music such as jazz and funk in addition to my favorite hard rock. I was searching for an instructor that teaches double bass drum and Mike learned with one of the best. Mike makes the lessons fun and is cool when my schedule does not allow for practice.
