Very personable to deal with and also the truck driver doing the drop off. Took a few mins to get it right since dropping only happens once. Spoke to the owner and took care of all measurements to make sure the order was right. Very happy with them and will repeat business when needed. Thank you.

Phil and his sons are very professional and knowledgeable! We have done a lot of work on our lot with creating garden beds and mulching areas. They are always nice and the last time we went they ran a tab because I had to go back so many times! I highly recommend them to anyone!

FYI this is what they call “top soil”. It’s just ground up clay that becomes hard packed and unworkable once wet. I was expecting brown dirt. Grass is very difficult to grow in it. Forget using it in a garden. Basically fill dirt. Very disappointing.

I have done business with Hill Sand & Gravel for about 30 years. They are a family ran business that always provides great customer service & products. The owner is Phil Hill and you wont find anyone any more honest or excited to help in anyway possible. Also their measurements of soils & mulch are much more liberal than their corporate competitors. Great Material. Great Prices. With even better Customer Service. The owners where very helpful. Our vegetable garden is ready to go with the compost we recieved. Plus our landscaping was revived with the black mulch we got from Hill Sand and Gravel. I recommend them to every person that ask about materials. They even deliver to Monroe.

At first they were nice and cheaper. But now I have to spread 8 tons of rock in my driveway by hand. And its 2 toned. Doesnt match at all. The owner told me we deliver and spread it for you. They spread it with the dump truck. This was a mistake and now Im completely stressed and upset!

They blended compost and sand for me to create a mix I needed for a Raised Bed Planter. Been dealing with Phil Hill and his Dad for many years. Very fair on prices and never disappoint.
