Michael came from another job in Urbana and I as absolutely great. Came in, checked everything he needed to about my furnace and replaced the capacitor and filter. I would highly recommend Mattex to anyone who needs their furnace or AC fixed.

All I can say is WOW!! I was not expecting such exceptional service. All the people I encountered (Oscar, Mike, Austin) were all so kind and helpful. Our furnace went out in the middle of winter and they made sure to serve us ASAP. They worked with us with replacing our furnace to one that fits our needs. It was literally installed the next day once financing was approved! They truly care about the customer and the comfort of who they serve. I didn’t feel like I was being “sold” on high items just for them to get an extra buck. They offered us discounts and flexible payment methods that worked for us without even asking.Also, they let us borrow space heaters so we wouldn’t freeze that night! I will never use another company for my plumbing and electrical needs. We are first time homebuyers and knew nothing about this kind of stuff. And they explained everything to us without judgment. These people really love their jobs and love to serve people!! If I could give 100000 stars I would.

After a lot of research and estimates from other local contractors we decided to purchase our new furnace from Mattex, and we are so happy that we did. The customer service we received was excellent and Trevor (our consultant) was great to work with. The estimate we received was exactly what we were charged. The entire process from consultation to install was fast and easy. If youre looking for a reliable and trustworthy company look no further. We wont use anyone else for our heating and AC needs.

My A/C stopped working so I called them Mattex based off of their online ratings. A very nice tech came out. He found that the insulation in the around the a coil had came detached and was covering 1/2 the a coil and he believed that the lack of airflow was causing it to freeze up. He corrected that issue, and the A/C was working when he left. Charged me $94, $79 of which was the service call. This was at 1pm. When my wife returned home from work, at about 4pm, it wasnt running again. I called them the next morning and they came back out. This time, he said that the circuit board was bad and needed to be replaced. He showed me where it was bad at and you could see it arcing on the back of the board. I was quoted $620 for the part to have it replaced. He also tried talking me into just upgrading the whole unit instead of spending the money on the part. They also charged me another service call of $79. What? The issue was not fixed or correctly diagnosed the first time they were there. He said that it was because there was another issue found. This absolutely peeved me off.That night, I took a pic of the circuit board with my phone, located the part number, and found the new circuit board online for $94. I paid Express Next day shipping of $41, and installed the part myself. A/C has been running fine ever since. So after giving them $179, I fixed the issue myself for $135, which is $44 less then what I had paid them to do nothing. They have also called me 2 times this week wanting to schedule a Comfort Care Consultant to come out to my home to try and sale me a new system. No inquires on the repairs, but to buy a new system. Shows that they only care about the Money, and not the customer in my opinion.I will NEVER use this business again, and will recommend to others who not to use.

Mattex did a great job installing our new furnace! Id like to thank Vince, Brandon and Trevor for helping us when we needed it. We will be calling them for future maintenance and repairs. I recommend this company over the others for their outstanding service and care they have given us. Its really hard to find a good company, So glad we put our trust into Mattex and there team!

Went with the unpredictable issues that arose in the SMALL crawlspace to ensure safety and satisfaction. Thanks Paul, Derek, and Kevin for you work and professionalism with our new tank less water heater and the rerouting of the pipes to accommodate our requests - even the little electrical work so the new washer / dryer would function with a simple load in.

We have had issues with both of our air and heat. Each and every time we have called them, they have been prompt, friendly, and dealt with the issue. I cant recommend them enough. Aaron in the Mattoon office is particularly very good!

We were in Hawaii when Mattex replaced a furnace in a rental unit. As soon as the job was complete they sent me a picture of the new installation. They provided temporary hear for my tenants. The tenants were very pleased. The job went very well and I would recommend them to anyone wanting a professional installation. I will use them again

Thought I had a water heater leak Paul came out same day and checked it out. Turns out a drain hose had been moved. Problem solved. Paul was extremely nice and took time to explain things. Because of the great service I scheduled a furnace inspection. Aaron was super also. Took his time and explained a lot of things to me. I have found my Heating, Air and Plumbing company. I have two LARGE dogs, and two small kids. my A/C died on Thursday, they replaced my A/C and furnace on Tuesday. They worked fast, professionally, and where super friendly. I am a paying customer, and will only use them from now on! if you need HVAC work, just ask for Trevor at Mattex! He was great with both my dogs and kids. He took the time to address my need, budget, and time. Trevor even took time out of his Saturday to bring by a portable unit to help us stay cool until they could get ours replaced. The two installers where knowledgeable, and also great with my kids, and dogs. just a great team all around!

Amazing service call today. Have had issues with my thermostat installed by my alarm company as well as issue with another furnace we have. The furnace was “repaired” by another company, my technician addressed the issue right away and spent the time to repair it correctly. He also went above and beyond to resolve my thermostat issue by talking to their tech support and correctly wiring and setting the thermostat. Cole Hurt was my technician and I would recommend him to anyone, he was knowledgeable patient and extremely understanding. A+ company A+++ technician.

Paul was able to come quote a bid the same day we requested one from a neighboring city as they had some time open up. Worked with us to schedule and explain what was going to be in the estimate and then received within 2 hours of them leaving our house. Looking forward to the install this week.

We got in touch with Mattex after being neglected mid-job by a competitor. They were able to finish repairing our water heater and check our furnace in the same service visit. Our technician was professional and polite. Unfortunately he discovered that our furnace was needing to be replaced. I was impressed that the salesman was able to come that afternoon. He (Trevor Buford) was professional and very thorough. I was impressed at everything he checked and asked us. He helped us select a system, which was installed as soon as it came in. The system has done wonders for our home and seems to be exactly what we needed. I am impressed with the warranties (offered through Mattex and Trane) and we are confident that choosing Mattex was the right call. Even though it was a very stressful time, Trevor helped us to know our options and we did not feel pressured.I feel I must add that Mattex went above and beyond after a technician accident caused damage to our ceiling and wall. They repaired damage and made up for the inconvenience of the repair work (drywall repair took days and days, unavoidably.)We are very happy with our choice of Mattex. Everything from start to finish with Mattex in Mattoon was excellent. From Trevor spending two hours with us to thoroughly inspect our current system and make sure every question was answered, to Vince and Dustin (I think his name was Dustin) during installation, to Nelson helping with a slight hiccup, I dont have any complaints. The small issue we had was addressed immediately. The installers even mopped the floor by the front door! I highly recommended Mattex and will use them in the future.

My wife and I bought a house that was just over 20 years old. It hadnt been taken care of the best, and there were some things that definitely needed addressed. When we first moved to the area from Colorado a year ago our home had a newer complicated high tech HVAC system that I had never had any experience with. Not knowing where to turn I called Mattex and explained my situation and they immediately sent Trevor out. I feared that I was going to have some tech guy show up and talk down to me or even worse have a salesman show up and try and upcharge me for everything... and boy was I wrong... Trevor took the time to explain everything to me and made sure I understood how to operate the entire system. He treated me as a friend and made sure that my wife and I understood everything. After he left I did some reading on my own about some possible upgrades so I contacted Trevor again... he came back and helped me select the upgrades that made sense for me (I actually was impressed that he didnt try and sell me on things I didnt need). There were a couple of add one that I though I wanted and after discussing them with Trevor he explained to my why some of those things wouldnt make sense for me and would be money wasted for my system... and he made recommendations that would truly benefit our home... When the service tech came to install everything Trevor again took the time to walk us through everything step by step (and the service tech treated my home with utmost respect, taking care to clean up after himself and making sure everything was tidy)... and then, to my surprise, a month both Trevor and the tech called me out of the blue just to check on how things were going... at that point I realized that Trevor and Mattex truly care about each and every one of their customers. Trevor provides a level of service that seems to have vanished in this day and age. I applaud Mattex for staffing their entire company with compassionate and truly caring individuals. We are definitely customers for life.

We discovered Mattex on line, and from the reviews we saw. We decided to try them out. They set us up with appointment right away. That evening Trevor was at our house. He gave us the run down and explained everything very clearly. He set us up for installation right then. Which I believe was the 14th. He set us up for the 19th. Cole and Vince showed up that morning introduced themselves and went right to work. They were very polite and professional, They answered all our questions which were allot. They did a good professional installation, double checked everything. Since we had heating and air installed they double checked both systems to insure they were running properly. they went over the thermostat a couple of different times to make sure we understood it. It is different from what we had. It hooks up to the internet So I can now control my heating and cooling from my phone. Trevor made a special trip by the next day to ensure we understood how it works, and that we got hooked up to the internet. So now I get the weather report on my thermostat. To conclude Cole and Vince were professional in everything they did. They did a very good job cleaning up behind themselves. I would recommend them very highly to all who are interested.

Our House was built in the 1950’s and most things had been changed except our furnace. It was a gigantic, gravity flow, coal burning, converted to gas furnace. Oh and I almost forgot an additional blower added sometime in the disco era! Needless to say it was a mess in every sense of the word.We received a flier from Mattex in the mail. We thought we would give them a call if nothing else it will be fun watching them run away from the house. We’ve had estimates before from other companies and they just couldn’t or wouldn’t touch it.Monday September 19th Trevor Buford shows up to our home and consulted with us. We figured out what our needs were and how to achieve them. We have pets, allergies and my husband has asthma. Trevor did not run away, instead he built us a system that was tailored to our every concern. He even found a way to put in Central air, major bonus feature! We couldn’t believe how fast the turnaround was from consult to install. We opted for a Trane system and once we had all the financials figured out (he is great there too) we were on to the install.Monday October 3rd Trevor and his team Jared, Seth, Cole and Dustin were at our home by 7:58AM ready to work! Everyone was prompt, curious and well versed professionals. Everything about our furnace is beautiful. I cannot thank them enough for their hard work and attention to detail.
