I was not impressed by anything this store had to offer. But I will give them another chance...and maybe you should too... they just moved to a new location at the beginning of November, 2021... as soon as I check out the new place, I will update my review.

Best place to buy a musical instrument! I got my Fender acoustic guitar from this place and it was during my first visit to this store. I really like how the staff give their customers, their space to try out the instruments. They only step in when you need assistance or have a query and they are very friendly. They have financing options available for your purchase in the form of a Gear Card. I signed up for it and ended up getting a $10 gift card. My first experience at GC was really good. Ill definitely visit this store again.

Weird vibe. Seemed like the employees didn’t want to help anyone, just talking with each other. The employee that helped me was kind of pleasant

I love going here to play the piano but I feel awful because an employee said i was too loud so I had to turn the piano down. That was totally my fault but I felt awful and embarrassed so I left the store.

Found what I think was a harder to find guitar...they dealt with me on price but was a bit painful...nonetheless its Guitar Center. Big changes from my last visit...lower levels of inventory. Less folks working but better service arguably. Probably hard for them to keep up with on line stores like Sweetwater, which I think they try to act all friendly, which I dont find helpful or genuine...glad I stopped and spent all my money...

The staff greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. Social distancing was in effect. I was not certain what to get for my Nephew and the gentleman wonderfully suggested a Gift Card. Shopping Complete. 🙂

Best music instruments....

My favorite music store in the area. Worked with Todd in guitars, and the guy was so knowledgeable, super professional and really nice. They always have intelligent people on staff and they will work with you on pricing and even layaway options. I cant rave enough about Todd and the help he gave me. I wont go anywhere else!

The salesman I had was great! But the store was out of everything that I wanted to purchase. I walked out spending much more money than I anticipated due to them.not having the store stocked with the items that I budgeted for. They had some good deals but many more over priced items. But... you pay for it cause you want / need it. Literally Unfortunately. Not the first time that they were out of EVERYTHING or it was there but not unloaded yet

The young man who worked there was super awesome to our son. It was his 13th bday and we were getting him a guitar. The sales person made my sons experience fun and exciting. All salespeople were very friendly. Thank you. It was worth the hour drive.

If you are heading to Guitar Center ask for Todd. What an AMAZING sales rep. He was working in the guitar area when I approached him. After getting my humidifier for my acoustic, I asked about the Electronic Drums. He new EXACTLY what I was talking about and even helped me to choose the perfect set. Then I needed headphones for the drums and he walked me over to Audio and helped me find the perfect set to listen to music and hear my new drums with. I was blown away at how much this man knows. NO, he didnt sell me the highest priced gear. He actually SAVED me from spending unnecessary money by explaining the differences between the gear I was looking at. If you REALLY WANT customer service, dont ask for anyone else!!!

I walked in and stood around for 15 minutes looking at guitars waiting for a sales associate to help me. They just kind of looked at me. They had the Fender stratocaster I want for 1500 but no help🤷‍♂️ Moving on to another store.

The assistance we received from Max whom was so helpful and informative was outstanding. Was looking for an amp for my grandson and I personally didnt understand the concept of picking out the correct one. Even though social distancing is the new norm I ended up going to Sam Ash next door because the guy at the door told me upon entering that they were short handed & would take some time getting around to assist me.. however the time that I spent in the store I was The Only customer waiting to be checked out as he and two other guys joked and played at the door station.. NO ONE even looked twice in my direction as I Left my items at the strings counter and walked out..

Great staff, cool stuff and fast service

Nice folks, very vigilant about safety for their workers and consumers. For the very little time I spent in there, the workers were nice, store is clean, and apparently they are selling a lot of equipment now as the guitar wall did not have much selection and we were told they just cant keep them in stock.

Went in for the used gear buying event. The staff was very helpful and I was happy to get a Guitar Center giftcard for my old gear. Now its time to use that for some new gear.

Heavily in Decline. Great if you don’t mind salespeople....because no one will ask you if you need help. Used to be the king, now Sam Ash is such a better kept store and gear. If you play high end acoustic guitars run from this place, the humidity is more consistent in the trunk of my car.

The assistance I received from Max was horrible and insulting. After he lied to me about my order I place with him, He lied again and said I couldnt get a refund and walked away. I never felt so horrible. The worse customer service I ever had in the world! After he got my money he basically gave me his finger! The middle one. I hope no one ever has to receive that kind of treatment. Very Very Bad!!!!

Great place to explore a wide range of musical instruments and related supplies. More online than in the store. Fair prices, friendly, knowledgeable staff.Love the selection of guitars.

A large inventory of sub $2,000 guitars and related equipment. Nothing against Guitar Center, but it is a bit cookie cutter corporate. There is an ever-changing staff, but most employees are nice. I do not recommend getting work/maintenance/labor done here. You will probably have a much better result somewhere like Lays Guitar Shop in Kenmore/Akron. This location Guitar Center usually has a large inventory of used gear, which can be very interesting. Stop in and have fun.

They give military discounts! I went there to get a nice reasonablepriced keyboard. Manager was very nice and friendly gave no issue with military discount! And Im very happy with the product, 45-day return policy. Pay with card or keep your receipt.

Store not well stocked within Pro Audio. Staff is helpful when available and the pricing is reasonable in most cases. Only drawback is exiting parking area back onto Mayfield rd, traffic is relentless.

Talked on the phone with a Charles, He was super nice and very accommodating of my needs even on Labor Day. Shining example of perfect customer service and one hell of a guy. He needs a raise for being so patient and helpful. Definitely will be doing my business here along with all my band members and will recommend to my friends.

The person that helped us claimed to know about pianos but didnt know how to properly plug in the piano having the speaker pop multiple times and they didnt want to cut us a deal for a piano that was both display and had pieces missing

I love this guitar center if it’s not the best one in the nation it’s certainly top 5. I’ve been all over real musicians work here, they know what they are selling, and want you to be happy with your purchase. Great place.

Its like a TARDIS... Its bigger on the inside. From the outside it looked pretty small, but its really a good size. Nice variety of stuff, especially its namesake, guitars.The service is slow, but its slow because they really serve! Once you have their attention the are very helpful, but you have to be patient, unless you know what you want.Overall a great place for musicians.

Went in yesterday I was one of three customers I was at first impressed with their Covid procedures but it was down hill from there they got me a guitar to try out but then left more interested in talking to each other I waited for more assistance but finally gave up

I went in and thought I bought a midi but it was the wrong thing. I took it back and they talked me into buying a midi from them online since they didnt have any midis in the store, I agreed. They cancelled my order 5 days later around the time I was supposed to receive my midi, oh yeah this midi cost 100 dollars more than the one I thought was a midi. Well I still havent gotten my refund and its the 5th day. They will see me tomorrow I promise you I want my money back I feel robbed

Im from out-of-town and needed to rent a keyboard for a wedding. The rental department manager, Truth, was a real pleasure to deal with. He had everything packed, tested, and read-to-go for me, with all the cables and accessories I needed since the wedding was 75 min. away. The price was excellent and better than expected. The return was also easy. So the overall experience was excellent and saved my bacon.

Was only in here briefly but it is a lovely place. Nothing wrong with it at all. Great selection and friendly workers.

Possibly the worst customer service ever. You won’t even be acknowledged if you’re the only person there. The store is an absolute mess. Embarrassing.

Very terrible customer service. Every time I come in there you can tell they are just there for the sale. I ask questions and they give me very broad, generic answers. I will never go there again and Sam Ash got all of my $1200 dollars because of how CARING AND GREAT they were.

Super cool staff easy to deal with

Went in looking to buy a few replacement accessories like capo, strings, cutter. Left with nothing because no one even came up to me. Guess Ill buy it all on Amazon. There were 3 guys including myself looking for help, one rep helping a customer, the other just playing around. Dude never even looked up.

Great selection, but was a little slow...

All the employees that were there when I went up were very friendly and was able to answer every question I had. Bought an Ibanez 6 string guitar from them and I was able to watch it all be completely set up and a light wipe down to make sure its clean before taking it home. Best service Ive ever had

Unlike the location on Brookpark road, the people here seem to have a real passion for their work. I brought a strange request to the technician for upgrades and he seemed happy to do something out of the ordinary. It may be a half hour out of my way, but this is my new spot.

This location of Guitar Center is a dump-- inside and out. The employees are sub-par. Dont waste your time. Youll be disappointed. Sam Ash is practically next door and MUCH MUCH better in every way.

I like their used guitar gear they get in. Sometimes they have some really awesome stuff. Hint: go to their website and look in the used section. If you find something large and heavy you want they will ship it to the store for free. Plus you have a number of days to take it back if you arent satisfied.

The accessory staff at the store is top notch. Great service, they always offer to order things for me if they dont carry them. Theyre the reason this joint gets 2 stars instead of 1.The guitar staff? Not good. I went in with cash, intending to buy a bass. I didnt even want to play it, I knew which model I wanted and I just wanted to get it. I was in the store for 20 minutes taking a look at their terrible selection. Two salespeople were sitting around, totally ignoring me and talking about how drunk they got the night before. One was messing around restringing a guitar. No one even acknowledged my presence.If youre going to buy from Guitar Center, you might as well just skip it and order from Musicians Friend. Their website is more helpful than the staff at this GC.

I go to GC because customer care is critical to me as a local studio and gigging musician, and I am rarely (if ever) disappointed. Majority of the time all the people there know what theyre doing and what theyre talking about. Special thanks to Jim and Dan for being wizards of their craft. Also some of my favorite guitars to ever exist have been from or at mayfield guitar center. Thanks for striving to be great!

I was told to give guitar center a ring to sell a guitar in Mayfield.. The manager not only dogged the North Olmsted store but told me that he would have to take pics of my guitar, evaluate it within one weeks time, and send pics to his corporate store in Hollywood, before he could make me an offer!!! Bold lies considering the sources who sent me to Guitar Center, frequently sell their items there within an hour!!! WTH? Because I’m a woman??? This “manager” needs to be let go, and he can go work some fast food because I will never buy from them again!!!

I brought in a vintage guitar to sell and Jason was very knowledgeable and helpful. He consulted with their expert team in California and was careful to send them very detailed pictures of the guitar. They made me a very generous offer within an hour which I accepted and received more cash than I had anticipated. Great overall experience.

Horrible service. Getting my kid set up with his first guitar. First no one offered assistance as we looked around. Had to ask someone where the beginner smaller guitars were. So we picked one out and tested a used amp. Told the guy I needed everything cord, strap, stand, amp, guitar and picks. He was gathering stuff as we picked out the strap. So we checked out and got home. Unpacked the guitar from the box. Plugged in the amp and No Cord for the guitar. I guess chatting with his coworker was more important than getting his job done right. Going down the street to Sam Ash.

Customer service was non existent during my visit Feb 6, 2019...I was not spoken to or acknowledged as I stood at the counter waiting ... the workers simply looked at me and turned their head. I simply left and went to Sam Ash down the street where I was treated with the respect one spending money should receive..,I wi never patronize that store again.

Great store for all your music needs

Well I went here to get a ukulele, I received zero help, even after the guy came into the room, we tried to tell him which one we would like but he was busy. By busy I mean he had some standing around to do and I guess needed some alone time because no one else was there. I gave them 2 stars because the girl up front was nice, so go to her not the little guy with stocking hat.

The staff was unhelpful they did not even approached me to try and help. After 20 minutes, I left and went to Sam Ash and purchased the keyboard Id originally went to Guitar Center for. Maybe they judged Me by my cover, but Id say try to never do that againm

Nice, helpful staff. I went to get some cables for my monitor speakers and this is definitely the place to go and get this if youre looking for the same. Online cannot offer what they do and that is life time warranty and exchange when cables stop working. Some online stores might say they offer the same thing but nothing beats the convenience of just stopping by and getting what you need replaced.

They never answered my repeated calls.
