Had a great experience visiting this store to buy my first mig welder. Ryan was great help getting me all set up with everything I needed. Definitely earned a customer for life.
For a number of years I have purchased my MIG supplies at this store, and have always been treated well. I am not a professional welder, just a hobby type. I mention this because, from time to time, I have needed help in the form of information. For example, when I recently needed an additional CO2 tank, I wondered if I bought a refurbished tank off the internet at a lower cost than they offered, could they refill it? These folks were most helpful in explaining what to look for -- what re-certification would be required to make it exchangeable for a full tank. Another example; I have owned an old Oxy-Acetylene torch for about 45 years (originally purchased in Kentucky), but no longer have a use for it. Though they cannot buy it (as my documentation of ownership had been lost years ago), they were most helpful in determining that the two tanks are of a type and brand that can be refilled locally, should I sell them to a local buyer. This was important to me, as I did not want to sell them to someone that could not get them filled locally after proper re-certification.So heres the point. These folks have been honest, gracious and helpful; even when my questions did not directly benefit them financially. As to the being closed bit mentioned in another review, yes they are closed each weekday from 11:00 AM to noon for lunch (as noted on the front door). I admit that it might be nice if their website also noted that fact, but to me this is a very minor inconvenience, given the excellent survive they provide.
When I lived in Flagstaff, I got my supplies at a local Airgas store at any normal business hours. I’ve moved to the Meadville Pa area, and stopped by the Airgas location to replenish my 75/25 Argon/co2 tank. I also wanted to purchase some mig wire and 7018 rods as well as look for a good respirator. When I got there I found a sign on the door nearest the parking area that said “please use front door” I went to the only other door I could find (not knowing what the “front” of the building even was). And it too was locked. I left. What a horrible way to do business. If I can’t even find a way in, Airgas must not need my business. I’ll go elsewhere.
Wonderful sales people, very well naligable.
