If I ever need to store my belongings in Meadville again I would shop around for a more secure storage facility. I had 2 units from October to July. I had to purchase a lock for the inside unit. The lock I purchased was from the storage facility. The facility does not have cameras and a few of the units were broken into... mine being one of them. I had tv’s, air mattresses, computer monitors, lawn chairs removed from my unit. Even though I had renters insurance the deductible was more than the value of what was stolen. The inside units have mice. When I closed my account they charged me a cleaning fee...there was nothing to clean other then mice feces. Shop around...the people are very nice but the service could be better.

Upon placing a reservation online for a larger unit I was called and told only smaller units were available. I decided to see if that size would work and reserved the unit. When arriving a week later to check into the unit none of the info from the reservation was in the system. After sorting that out I was able to check into the unit.I only ended up needing it for one month and upon checking out I discovered someone had broken glass in the hallway and pieces had slid under the door and into my unit. This occurred after hours and I did not bring my broom back as I had already swept the unit and just came to pickup a few large items. I removed all the glass from inside the unit.When I called to notify that I had vacated the unit I forgot to mention the glass in the hall. Now a week later I receive a check for my returned security deposit that has been deducted $10 for a sweeping fee. I was not notified of the charge before receiving the check and the fee was not identified on the paperwork. I had to call to find out what it was reduced.The conversation on the phone involved several different stories as to how the unit was swept out and who accomplished the work. Bottom line is that they will keep your money if they can and to me a comment like “it’s only a $10 cleaning fee” speaks volumes about how they value their customers.

Bill and Linda are such beautiful people. They have reasonable prices. Super accessible. I would use them for all my storage needs. They also have a few uhaul vehicles they work with. So if you need to move in/out or across the country come to meadville self storage. They will love and keep all your precious belongings safe.

Im a first-time user of self-storage, as I go to a school nearby but live out of state. The pricing for the units is great, quite inexpensive. The staff who checked me out was very friendly and thorough in ensuring I had the correct documentation, insurance, etc.When I got to the storage unit, it wasnt the cleanest. There were spider webs, storage holders trash, and other insects around the facility. When I got to my unit, I noticed mouse-droppings and A LOT of moisture. I assumed these were old, and not cleaned up after the previous storage holder (I made sure to leave mouse-traps in the corners of my unit for pre-caution). I left my items in for close to 4 months, and when I got back most of my items had mold grown over them with, reeked of mildew and felt damp. Ive had to throw out many of my items that I had stored there because of the damage. Many of my wooden items that I had stored, have warped and unfortunately had to be thrown out as well.I dont believe this facility is supervised over the year, and there is no climate control within the facility -- again, the reason for my damage.Extremely disappointed.. and I will never be using this storage facility again. If any do decide to use the units, place your items in plastic containers!I inserted a picture for reference of what my items looked like.
