I always loved Best Buy but I will never shop there again. I cannot support a company that will so quickly and carelessly fire thousands of employees with no notice and for no reason other than to be greedy. The company has thrived over the last 12 months with profits up 23% Year over Year and revenue reaching 40 billion dollars. How do they thank the employees who showed up to work during the greatest health crisis of our time? You guessed it, they fired them! I will never spend another dollar at Best Buy again. This is absolutely disgusting. Shame on you Best Buy!

I was sold a warranty when I bought a washing machine. And I need to use it now that my washer has stopped working. I filed a claim 3 months ago and a repair person was sent. They mailed all the parts to my house. The repair guy said he needed a bolt. And never came back. Now I am getting the runaround. Best Buy said call the warranty company. I sat on hold for 3 hours while I was at work. And finally hung up the phone. Do not buy appliances from Best Buy because they do not honor their agreements. There is nothing worse than making a deal with someone and have them screw you out of your money. I have a washer drum sitting on my porch for 3 months and now my warranty is a week from expiration.

If I could have put less then 1 star I would have!!!!This is the worst Best Buy. I have ever went to. My niece went to return a set of headphones she brought that didnt work and it went south very fast. These employees they have working here are the worst. First she was accused of stealing them and then trying to return. She asked for the manager and when she came out she threw the headphones back in her car and hit me with them. Told her she was using derogatory language to her employee which she never did. They had the nerve to have the police tell me to leave the property because she was trespassing. This is not write.

My wife and I went to the store to buy a washer and dryer set. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly store personnel asking about our interest. We were directed towards the appliance section. Not finding what we were looking for, we started to leave. Again we were addressed by the greeter and asked if we found what we were looking for. Upon our response, she offered additional information about availability and locations of other stores. Bottom line, extremely customer friendly store.

Been on hold for 30 minutes, nobody has answered the phone and I’ve been calling all day. This is my 3rd attempt to reach someone at the store. Absolutely ridiculous. Guess I’ll have to physically go into the store tomorrow just so I can speak to someone about my order.

Absolute worst system to contact someone for an update on repair I have dealt with. I paid $295 to have my iPhone screen repaired. The day I had an appointment, which took over a week to get, I was told the Apple tech had to leave early and my phone would be repaired the following day. I reschedule an appointment to make this service call. Best Buy could have called me to let me know this before I drove out there and waiting in line to drop it off. They service tech apologized and said it would be done first thing the following day and be done by 1 PM. I called and it took 50 min before a human talked to me only to say they need to call the store and it could take another 15 min. WORST service and I will not be doing any service repairs w/ Best Buy! Best Buy Mechanicville VA.

I placed and order online for a curbside pick up and service was amazing. My order wouldn’t Scan in the store so they were not able to bring it out right away I had to wait a while. But they kept me updated on the progress and the store manager came out himself to deliver my order and to thank me for my patients it was worth it. They are amazing!!!

Went in on Thanksgiving night after dinner. Just got cell phone screen protector and browsed while staff put it on. Staff was nice and asked if needed help throughout store. There were sales but I dont do the shopping like used to. Child just wanted two things protector and popper. Nice product selection. Plenty of parking. They have good protection plans buy it. Ive purchased a lot from Best Buy over the years.

Hubby was looking for a smart watch and the service representative was able to discern exactly what he should get for what he described as his most important features. Found a watch on sale and supposed to have a gift card issued with purchase, but the tag was wrong. She gave us the $25 off the purchase instead. Awesome!

Lets be clear, their motive is to trap you in insanely high interest charges. They encourage you to make automated payments and receive paperless statements. However, the paperless statement you receive in your e-mail is NOT your statement. It is a notification that your payment is due and the option to waste quite a bit of your time trying to figure out how to log in to their website to find your statement. Of course since I conveniently set up my automated payments, why would I go through all that trouble to find my statement. It is NOT important to Best Buy to offer clear notifications of soon ending promotional periods, this option is only offered to you after you close your account and obviously unhelpful at that point.I work for a retailer who has promotional deferred interest offers, our company makes it very easy to access our paperless statements. They offer a 6 month promotional period and allow you to schedule 6 payments at once, what a convenient way to help your customers pay off their account before interest is accrued. Even better, if you could not afford to pay it off in that 6 month period, they only charge interest on the remaining balance from the start date, not the balance as a whole.There are honest companies out there, this is not one. Customer service does not even pretend to suggest they make any efforts to help their customers avoid the interest. They are very clear that they intend this to be solely your responsibility in hopes that we will screw it up. 10+ years a card holder. Several thousand dollars spent. Not another dime, I can assure you of that.

Ive started going to Best Buy more and more for my technology purchases, since I have come to trust what is available on Amazon less and less. At least when you go to Best Buy, you can be sure of a level of curation and verification of the items that they stock in the store; with Amazon, there are hijacked listings all the time. It isnt a perfect store, but sometimes having just a level of someone choosing whats in a store is helpful

Worst experience ever because of communication. You CAN NOT get someone on the phone from the store. All calls go to a call center and the call center reps will tell you that the store doesnt answer phone, even though they have 15 employees working. To do anything, they require you to go into the store physically, YES DURING COVID. It is not what Bestbuy used to be, wish we still had Circuit City.

Best Buy Mechanicsville, VA has superior customer service. My husband and I went in to buy a tablet for a gift and were helped by Stephen Cramer. He was so great we ended up picking up a smartwatch for me as well.. Excellent service. Manager Teddy Truehart was right there to help when one of the cabinets wouldnt open. What a great experience.

Bought a lower priced Insignia over the ears noise cancelling bluetooth headset so I could listen to music while I mow the lawn and they work great. Not as great as the $300 pair I tried on but perfectly fine for mowing the lawn for only $75.00. The technician was very helpful when I was evaluating the different headsets.

You can score some decent deals at Best Buy, their weekly deals are sometimes good on specific products, occasionally even beating out Amazon. Their every-day prices are somewhat higher. They do have a good selection of appliances and their cell phone deals can be very good as well.Service at this location is good for the most part, but you can tell that they run lean staffing at non-peak hours. Sometimes going as far as to have the check out lane completely shut down, leaving the customer to check out at the customer service desk.

Went in to buy a vacuum cleaner. I was set on buying a Dyson. Employee was knowledgeable and showed me all the features of the Dyson models. Bought the Absolute model, brought it home, charged it, tried it out and boy does this vacuum work great!! Got 12 months interest free with my Best Buy card. Would highly recommend.

I walked into this establishment 3/4/2019 this store was fully staffed for a Sunday. No one greeted me I walked around the entire store no one asked me did I need any help. I was so disgusted how do you have a store as big as this clean with great appliances and electronics and a full staff that wont help. The street name is Battlefield thats a great name because its like a battlefield getting someone to help. Now I have to go out of my way to Brook Rd to get great customer service when I have one 15 minutes from my home.

I had some issues with a head unit in Nov of 2019 and it had to be sent out. It took a few months and I had to call to see what was going on. Jan of 2020 I called customer service and explained the situation, they were obviously surprised at what was going on.They had called the store to see what was going on, got with the managers, said I should not have waited that long and to go to the store to get a new unit. I got a call from the manager of Geek Squad asking me when I was available to come in. I go in and hes very friendly, apologetic and overall wanting to help fix this situation.So in the end I have a new head unit in my car new warranty and all is well. The help I got from customer service, the Geek Squad manager and installer was exceptional. I have been shopping there for years and will continue doing so for my electronic needs for years to come.

I came to the mechanicsville location after having horrible customer service at the Virginia center commons location. As everyone knows, there is only curb side pick up available. I have a gift card for Best Buy and I accidentally scratched off the card number. So I go up to the store, asking to purchase my items there. I did not ask for any card numbers. Just asked if they could scan the card and I can pay for my items there. After being refused at VCC and snapped at, I came to mechanicsville where Greg came up to my window and told me that customer service guy will be out shortly. Well 5 minutes goes by, Greg comes back to my car and says he will handle it himself. So not only does he take my card to make sure it still works, he places my entire (6 items) purchase with no hesitation. Greg was very nice and patient and respectful. It will definitely change which location I shop at now! I just wanted to thank him for his excellent customer service during this difficult time.

This Best Buy store is located at 7297 Battle Hill Drive in Mechanicsville, Virginia.Its a Best Buy... a fairly large location at that. Generally, prices are a bit higher than I can find things online for, and even their own online prices are often lower than in the store.A while back, we were shopping for a new phone case for our daughters brand new phone. A Best Buy had exactly what we wanted at just under fifty bucks. Thankfully, I have a QR reader on my phone and just decided to see what the online price was --- and it was twenty-four bucks online! Nice thing was that I showed the cashier their online price on my phone and he adjusted the purchase to that price.This location is a pain to get to given the recent construction and all the traffic going to the fast food places next door. Holiday shopping here is a pain.Nice folks. Decent inventory. Typical pricing.

Went there to pay my bill. They dont take debit cards as a form of payment, only cash or a paper check. This is the only retailer I know that does this. Theyll take your credit card or debit card if you purchase something but not to pay your bill. This was very annoying. The guy that waited on me was not friendly at all. Never said thank you, just handed me my receipt (after I had returned with a check). Going home and cutting up my card. !!

I understand things are crazy with short staff in store, through chat & by phone but having to call and chat several times in one day in frustrating w/o any resolution. I’m trying to get help with my digital download (antivirus for iPad) & getting absolute nowhere. The chat service ended the chat worth no end of call greeting (ex:have a good), the last chat referred me to the store. Called the store to see if I actually need to go & was told (by geek squad)to call the 1-800 #. When I did speak with someone in the email department all she told me was to try other browsers & she resent the link. She sounded like she didn’t want to be bothered. Now I have to call once more because no one seem to be able to trouble shoot a technical issue. At the very least walk me through the process. Nothing like inadequate customer service.

Other than Costco I am not a fan of big box retailers. This BestBuy location is a definite exception. Something about it just feels local and homey when I come in. maybe its because Ive purchased so much within the past year, but the people there recognize me and actually can hold conversations. The level of service is similar to that of a commission-based model, however there is no commission involved. I really enjoy shopping here, which I cannot say about very many big box retailers.

Out of curiosity ive committed a few hrs each day to letting my house phone wait on hold while i did office work just to see how long it would take to be taken off of hold and it never happened other than the one quick hang up. I would never dream of buying anything else from a location that doesnt have the good sense or decency to answer their phones. I would rather drive out of the way to get what I need. Ridiculous...

The other half of staff workers are not helpful at all with condescending tones and passive aggressive attitudes in the customer service section needs some work. The store was spotless, the staff was so knowledgeable, and the cashier Dylan was incredibly friendly. Bought a mobile phone from Best Buy in Mecanicsville, Va. a few weeks ago. I dropped the phone soon after and cracked the glass protector. Went back to Best Buy and they replaced the glass and out the door in 30 minutes. No charge. That’s what I call good customer service.
