Horrible experience. This Guitar Center ships a used, thousand dollar Martin guitar across the country without a case (dont even offer to sell one or notify buyer beforehand. I would have purchased. Its called upsell) and pack it with almost NO PADDING. No surprise its severely damaged. The person who packaged this should not be allowed around musical instruments. Martin Guitar you should be ashamed of this dealer. Saved a year for this disappointment. When I called the store, Rex did not apologize, did not empathize, did not ask how they could make it right, only said, go to the website or your local store to start a return. Go somewhere else to spend your money. Somewhere that appreciates their customers and their instruments.

I spent hours online determining which used instruments to order for pick up at the Medford store. The instruments were located at Guitar Centers all over the country. I had to call 2 weeks after placing my order to find out that I was not going to receive 3 of the 5 instruments I intended to buy. I did not receive an email or a call to notify me of this. 3 out of 5 arent great odds. I have never had a problem like this on E-bay when ordering used instruments. Take heed. What you see may not really be there.UPDATE: I picked up my instruments at the Medford store. Both had not been re-stringed (as promised) but the guy (I didnt get his name) at the store gave me free strings for both so I could do it myself at no additional cost. Both instruments were dirty and dusty with rusty strings. Clearly, their online used instrument program needs improvement. The service I received at the store was excellent. E-bay rocks when it comes to purchasing used instruments.

I have been shopping at the Medford Guitar center for probably 15 years. And have been shopping at Guitar center stores for probably 32 years or more in other states..The Medford store was definitely better 5 to 10 years ago. And unfortunately, I think the pressure of a lot of people shopping online these days, has really had a negative impact on their customer service. They do have a couple employees that have great customer service and either know what theyre talking about, or they will research it to make sure that they take care of your needs as a customer. I generally look for those employees now, and if I dont see them, I either continue with my own research, or come back later when they are working.I would rate them 2.5 stars out of 5 currently.

After many months of low stock, this Guitar Center is full of beautiful guitars hanging from the walls. Unlike other GC locations, this store is well staffed with great knowledgeable and friendly folks who really want to help you!

Im a long time customer at this store and am on a first name basis with most of the staff. I am always treated with respect and have even helped other customers on the rare occasion when they are very busy. So, Im bit prejudice when it comes to this store. My go to place for my music needs. Personable and knowledgeable staff. Prices a bit steep for instruments and accessories, but thats my only beef.

Great environment always fun to look around and all the staff are always ready to help.

Ive been to Guitar Centers elsewhere where all the employees are snobbish and rude but the people here are cool and laid back. Lot nicer vibe than others Ive been in. Cool place to hang out and jam a little bit. Nice selection of quality instruments. I traded in an Ibanez and got a good deal on a PRS custom 24 which is awesome. They even honored a 15 percent off promotion which ended the day before. I will definitely be back to shop there again.

Its the 2nd best place to buy music gear in town.

I bought my first guitar today at this location. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Nick! Thank you for a great experience. I did get home and looked in the guitar bag and was a little bummed I didnt get the guitar center pick I first got to use on my new guitar. Im just sentimental! Lol great store and great staff. They made a beginner like me feel very comfortable!

All the guys were super helpful and Nick really came through for me with all the items I needed and set up curbside pickup. They were very patient and gracious and kept trying to give me the right things and there were only two of them and a lot of people to help and they still came through with flying colors during the covid-19. Many thanks for working hard!

I asked to try out one of the basses and the clerk noticed the truss rod needed an adjustment and adjusted it before I played it to give me the best experience. I have NEVER seen a GC employee to go this extra mile. This made me believe this man loves his job and takes pride. Grade A

I recently bought an electric drum set from here and the associate, jack, was very informative, educational, and thorough. Then once I received my drum set I noticed one of my wing nuts were bent. I called guitar center and they said they would be happy to replace it and the guy there was bending over backwards to try and replace it.Overall: Great associates and great customer service. Would definitely recommend.

Even though they were only letting a certain number of people in at a time sure to COVID-19 they let our grandson and his friend in just to look around and try instruments. I needed a tiny vinyl washer for the machine head on my Fender acoustic. They didn’t carry them in stock, but the guy behind the counter took the time to look for a used one in the spare parts bin. After some looking, he found one. The charge was $00.00. They now have my steadfast loyalty.

Came looking for a new keyboard. The staff were super friendly, showed us which keyboards were good for our budget. Prices were comparable with Amazon prices. Good selection of products. Very much recommend.

Super friendly people they go out of their way to make you feel welcome they demonstrate the product and it seems like when theres nothing going on they actually play their guitars.I love going in the place some of them have grooming that is a little bit on the young side like piercings and dreadlock hair. I really love every experience Ive had shopping at the Guitar Center. I was there today . They sold me a guitar case for my Gibson,Les Paul Pro. for $89.00, the price tag said $120.00. This store has some of the nicest, high quality guitars Ive ever seen. They always have sales. The people who work there very cool.

So I called this store to buy a present for my husband. I talked to a guy who absolutely assured me it would ship in one day. I really was in a hurry and even asked questions about possibly not arriving on time. He swore it would ship in a day. Smh what a bunch of bs it has now been two days and it is still processing. Customer service what a joke that is says now another week since it’s on back order. I was told it was in stock ready to ship. So here’s my one star wish it had negative stars I would give them. Also I was shocked when I went to get a pedal for a bass at guitar center and they had none. Just do t carry them at guitar center smh. Do yourself a favor and order your own from a website this company will say anything to get a sale

Best shopping experience ever. My son was treated with superb respect regardless of his age. There were no pushy sales. We were given plenty of time to think and discuss our options. I will always shop here and never anywhere else when it comes to music again!

Some of the worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

Great staff. I dont live in the area but Ive shopped here many times. There are staff members who remember me, and the gear I have purchased in the past for myself or family members. Everyone in this shop practically went out of their way to say hello and continued to assist me to shop, without ever being in the way or invasive sales type people. It would be nice to see them expand their used gear selection, but still one of my favorite locations to shop at.

Great store for all your music needs. Theres a guy by the name of Dillion Quinn that works here. He really knows his stuff. He was very professional and met all my needs. Ask for him by name and he will get you set up. The store looks great and staff where very friendly. Recommend this place highly.

Not alot of selection kind of rude staff

I knew what I wanted, but still need help as Im not a musician. They were super busy, but the guy at the front register did a great job of multitasking and helping a number of people at once. Once I made a decision on s guitar, he helped me find an online coupon, saving me $20. I would have preferred to buy something at s local shop, but their prices were double on the same guitar. Overall Im pleased with what I bought and felt like the costumer service was on point!

I purchased a used guitar from this store, and had it shipped cross country. First of all a GREAT packing job! The strings were loosened, the headstock was supported, and solidly packed in brand new shipping box. I also had excellent customer service regarding a non-event. Also, a great value! Thanks guys!

Short and sweet: Its a decent place to shop, the dudes here are pretty cool for corporate employees, convent and well priced for some things. Lots of guitars, not much else. For a guitar center, this one is decent. Guitar center does suck though, lol.This place, like all music shops isnt perfect. Overall its like shopping anywhere else. They dont have stock like they used to. Drum room has one decent set on display. When I was a teen it was full of sets and drums to choose from. The pro audio department is mediocer, but it isnt the worst place to get started. Keyboards, monitors, and so on are mostly consumer products, granted a lot of them are wisely chosen, and they do have things that are perfectly great. Microphone choses are none existent for pro use. I like the staff. They are usually all cool, granted some of them really dont know procedures and it isnt the most organized place Ive ever been, but its a music shop and its not supposed to be.My issues with guitar center usually come down to corporate policies, or issues with ordering things from other stores. As much as I dont want that to matter, it really does. With the limited stock they provide, it impossible for me to not have to order things. They are a corporation at the end of the day, not a local shop. Its sort of this weird thing right now where its the only one left, so you want to, support your local shop, but this is not a local shop its a corporation. You cant have your cake and eat it too. For example they want to be cool, but they really cant help you out. See, that sounds good, but doesnt really mean anything.Saving a few days shipping time for a return isnt really more convent if I have to drive across the valley 3-4 times because the kids who work there dont understand or give me mis information....Overall its a decent place to shop, but dont spend all your money there. Get better deals and warrantees from more reputable companies. Lots of scams in the music biz, sad to say it looks like guitar center is leaning that way now.

You tell them what you want, what you expect out of it and you can count on any one of them not just meeting your expectations, but far and away exceeding them. Always have a good shopping experience here. They usually have the gear I need or can get it. I needed some drum hardware that was for a kit no longer in production. They were able to get all of the parts I needed at a reasonable price. It took a little time but now I have original equipment rather than settling for aftermarket parts.

The dude working was amazing. He answered all of our questions & really took the time to understand exactly what it is we were after. Considering they didnt even carry the item we were after he did a wonderful job opening other boxes & finding something that would work. Mind you we went in 20 min. before closing time.So shout out to the dude thats in the jazz band @ SOU, you rock man!

Its like a center for guitars! I did encounter one employee who was not a proud Douche-American. He was very helpful and genuine, so Ill seek him out next time.

Amazing place. definitely has amped up its staff with more knowledgeable people. I walked in not to long ago to just try a few guitars out for my wife. this week she had a staff member help her out. she told him how she liked the looks of one but the sound of another and this staff member came to the rescue with a beautiful fender. I cant say how happy I am with this place. I just want to say thank you for helping my wife pick out the most amazing fathers day gift.

Knowledgeable and helpful in a timely manner

Price-wise Guitar Center is the place to go for musical equipment. The staff is knowledgeable most of them are players themselves. They buy at such large quantities that they can sell items hugely discounted. They have a huge selection of instruments from different companies and if youre looking for something that they dont stock they will get it for you. Go there for someones birthday and give the gift of music. Will start them on a lifelong journey.

Place is nice staff is great the, the guitars and equipment where in great condition considering what Ive seen it other guitar centers and being very particular and picky guitar player. After really thinking about if there was one thing that was wrong with the store it probably had to bet was theyre a little short on Gibson Les Pauls.

Not too bad, as far as Guitar Center stores go, I was not too impressed with this one. The building looks old and run-down, its off the beaten path and most importantly, their selection was lacking as was their organization and cleanliness.

Incredibly helpful, no pressure at all. We were headed to Costco for the fender acoustic guitar package for our daughter for Christmas and stopped in to compare. Christian was able to show us the right guitar for our daughter without making me feel any pressure to purchase anything. We actually left to get the rest of the Christmas presents then came back. So glad we stopped here!
