This is a one stop shop for lighting. The staff was very helpful, and were able to service my chandelier, and table lamps. The turnaround time was excellent!!

I live in Maryland currently but my family lives in the area. My lamp broke and it was a unique end table lamp I’ve had for a long time. I couldn’t find anything in Maryland that would repair a lamp but I knew I was coming home for the holidays so I looked in the surrounding area here. In both areas I found a ton of lighting stores but absolutely NONE that repaired lighting except for Medford Lighting and Repair. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the owners. They looked at piece and fixed it within a few minutes and it works perfectly. The owners are two of the friendliest people I’ve ever met and they are incredible at what they do. Their expertise in the field of lighting is incredible and the knowledge they have is unmatched. They’re a small mom and pop shop that embodies that exact same atmosphere, something we need more of today and need to support. If you have a unique light fixture of any kind or even one that’s ordinary, don’t buy a new one online. Go here and get it fixed you will not be disappointed. They’re incredibly fun to talk to and do amazing work. They also have incredible unique lighting pieces for sale as well, some you won’t be able to find online. Truly unique pieces of art that are well worth it. Lighting repair is one of those things you don’t think you need until you do and they deliver. That light you’ve had for a while and are attached to? Don’t settle for a new one, go to them, support local business, feel comfortable, have great conversation, and get a professional job done to fix your light, lamp, or whatever it is. It was a great experience and I will be saving my light fixing needs for when I visit my family in the area just to go to them. They work hard, deserve the business and I will be going to them in the future.

When my wife and I moved to the US from the UK, we brought a favorite lamp with us. Despite extensive research and experimentation, including bringing the lamp to another lamp repair shop, we could not find a bulb to fit properly or come up with an alternative solution and so we brought the lamp to Genie Lighting in Medford.We were delighted when they managed to adapt the lamp for US use while retaining the original features and shade. Not only did they save our lamp for us but the price was extremely reasonable. We recommend them highly and will certainly use them in future.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! I purchased a special order lamp shade back in Oct. 2016 and didnt get it until Dec 24,2016. When I got it home and took the cellophane off, I found that it was damaged. When you call there you always have to leave a message because they never answer the phone, and they dont return your calls. I took the shade in and they said that they are waiting for the company where they ordered the shade hasnt returned their call. That isnt my problem. I purchased the shade from them. They are the ones who need to tell me what they are going to do about it. I was told if the company would not replace the shade, than she would be out the $102.00. I finally called my credit card company to file a dispute against them!! VERY unprofessional!!!!!! They give receipts without a letterhead on it!!!

It was great. Nice people, good variety to order. We bought 3 chandeliers from them, as well as several sconces. Try calling them, though - I hear they went out of business.

Stopped by to look for chandeliers for our new home. The signs direct you around to the back door where repairs are done. The owner was unclear if the retail section in front was continuing to be open for business. Said something about being across the street. Though we did like a few items she offered to order any we wished to purchase from catalogs. So, unfortunately, we did not make a purchase though she was very knowledgeable and friendly .
