I have shopped here a couple of times because it was close. I dread going in because they definitely are unfriendly, unless a man comes in then they act differently, they are slightly nicer. The last time we got wood there it was cedar and was really expensive. When my husband unloaded the wood we noticed it was in pretty bad shape, it looked like seconds but the price was for primo quality. Today we drove by and the sign outside at the road expressed their personal political view, I think that is really bad PR, I think politics should be left out of your advertising and business. We definitely will never go back there and will advise friends and family not to do business with them.

I highly recommend this place for most of all your lumber needs. Excellent customer service and definitely well knowledged. I will absolutely return for my next projects.

Stay away. Bought and returned cedar for decking. 3rd grade or worse. Go to Rogue Pacific Lumber if you beed cedar for decking.

Budget lumber is just that if you are on a budget. They really know their products and will steer you to the right materials. Buying your lumber from them is a smart move.

Disappointed both times ...budget is a good word to use when describing the quality of wood. Poor quality wood for too high of a price

Went to budget to exchange some wood for a fence. My neighbor who bought the wood was told that this would was thicked and a better price the a big box store he was also told that he was going to be saving money on the wood. Because he would have gotten it cheaper at lowes with his military discount. He was told that he was getting fencing for 1.37 a board. Then the total came out to be more like 2.45 a board. Which is way more then stained fencing board at lowes without the discount. They told him that this was better wood then sold him shop grade wood and was very rude when. We tried to exchange some board. We were doing a good neighbor fence so wood needed to be good on both side but shop grade only need to be good on one side. The guy that helped us was throwing wood around in my truck and saying you canthadnd pick fencing. They are very shady company and rude as help when you want good wood for you job. I will never go back. Finished the fence and they did take back the remaining wood. So that was one good thing that worked out but there was only one nice guy that helped out.

Yesterday I went to Budget Lumber for a few 2x4’s for my garden shed. I was met by a worker, yard worker I suppose, who was very abrupt and obviously not really wanting to be an ambassador for the company. I asked if they have utility 2x4’s, to which he replied “yes”, I asked to see them, then asked if they were good or bad utility 2x4’s and he replied, “dude they are utility 2x4’s”. I understand what utility lumber is, just wanted to know it they were really bad. He pointed to the pile and I commented these aren’t to bad. I picked one up and he immediately commented, “you have to take off the top, broken ones, or warped off the top.” I asked why would I take a broke or warped board I can’t use. I went inside to price check #2 and better. I realized there where two dogs inside and I had my dog so I had to secure him. When I came back in it was obvious the yard worker had voiced something to the counter worker. They both looked at me. I directed my question as to price to the counter worker and the yard worker commented “310”. Since I wasn’t talking with him wasn’t sure what he saying. I again asked the counter work and the yard worker again commented “310” I asked if he was quoting the price of #2 and better, looked the the counter worker and they smirked at each other and he said “yeah”.I go into theses details as it it very disappointing this business allows these type of workers to be their first contact with consumers. The sad part is I live in the area and frequent this business as it is close and prices are fair. However after this exchange I will be taking my business across town to their competitor. Very sad!

Budget lumber always has competitive prices with the bigger stores, good quality material to choose from and hands down the very best in customer service. As a licensed contractor, this is my favorite lumber yard in the valley.
