A true musicians music store with vintage and new instruments and gear. Most importantly though are the music instructors who take the time and care to provide fun but informative lessons. Barnstorm Music stands out from the new cookiecutter music stores who dont give students the time and care needed to properly learn and appreciate music. I highly recommend it.

Ive been buying instruments and gear from Ted at Barnstorm for 30 years. Hes always fair and helpful. And, if he thinks youll get a better deal from a megastore chain or on line, he will tell you. He specializes in good new and used instruments that dont break the bank. He also sells used gear - amps, mixers, etc. You never know exactly what he might have in the store, but over the years, Ive bought at least three guitars, a bass guitar, a bass amp, a guitar amp, drums, and a mixing board. When He stood behind what he sold, and when a factory defect showed up in one of my guitars, he swapped it out, no hassles and no questions asked. Hes also let me trade in/swap for other gear. Above all, he gives good advise. Ive also used his guitar technician, Dean, to get my guitars in perfect playing condition. And, after playing guitar for more than 40 years, I finally decided to take lessons. My teacher, Paul is great.

The best place ever.

What I really like about this place is that its not a franchise or part of a chain. If you are interested in a variety of instruments which are used and not just the limited selection you usually see in a store that sells mostly new gear, and you want to be surprised, this is the perfect place to stop in now and then and just see whats there. Ive enjoyed talking with the fellow behind the counter too.The only real issue I take with this place (and I told them) is that there is no real sign above the store. Its almost invisible from the street, and how can people like me feel confident that they will still be around next year if they make this fundamental marketing mistake?Other than that? Thumbs up! :-)
