UPDATE: September 3, 2021:Very satisfied with ADT service. It was easy to make a service appointment. Rosario is an excellent technician and I feel totally confident in his work and his advice. He answered all of my questions and gave me expert advice. He was very nice in every way.It was easy to make a service appointment and I was offered one for the very next day after my call. The ADT technician Gregory was excellent. I had a lot of confidence in him. He is an expert in this field. He installed a new battery and keypad perfectly. He answered all of my alarm/security questions and tested the system to assure me that all was working well. I highly recommend technician Greg.I am happy with the service and equipment from ADT.
Daniel, My Technician is an Awesome Tech. He repaired My System and picked up right away what the problem was. He was very Informative and explained in detail what was causing my problem. Unfortunately the star system doesn’t differentiate between the service provided by the technicians and representatives of ADT and the management of the companyadt gets 5 stars is for the service technicians that have been to my home AND for the representatives that I spoke with about my issues. All were great.However the company policy regarding the replacement of faulty sensors gets 0 stars.Earlier this year my system was up graded with a new panel and new batteries in the OLD sensors.Ever since then periodically an old sensor goes bad. I call and a technician come out and replaces the old bad sensor. This happened over seven times this year. When I discuss this with the reps and the technicians they all agree that the all old sensors should be replaced to avoid continued unnecessary service calls. However management doesn’t agree with this logic. They would rather waste company resources and come out to replace one at a time. Such a waste
You pay for the good service. The company is super professional and the technicians were super helpful. I highly recommend them.
Technician that came to my house should be fired. Showed up to my house with a very nasty attitude from the beginning. He didn’t wanna do the work that I needed done. Adt is taking money out my account and I have half the services that I’m paying for. I wouldn’t recommend ADT to anyone especially if they still have that technicians I think his name is Dominic still working for them.
ADT was very thorough and helped us with all our issues. Will was amazing. Went out of his way, despite the labels, to find all the sensors and makes sure they were all operational. Even offered to relabel the ones that were mislabeled in the system.

Technician Andy C was professional and knowledgeable. I had several questions and wanted specific answers to secure my home. When Tech Andy reached out to his manager, Michael Pfisterer, he was yelled at and was told to tell me to called the sales rep. After calling the sales rep, Michael called me and accused Andy of having him on speaker phone. Ridiculous! Not only did he not have his phone on speaker but the manager was yelling so loudly I heard him although I was being socially distance from tech. Furthermore, who cares how I heard. Manager Michael Pfisterer needs management and customer care training. By the time he called me, Andy resolved my issues without his manager’s support. Where was his support? Do I really want to work with a company that treats it’s employees and customers this way? Horrible customer service. Great technician.

Had their service for 4 years and had to do a last minute move. I just paid for the year in FULL 2 weeks before I cancelled my service and yet the still are charging me MORE money for cancelling (even though a paid for a full year and had to cancel after 2 weeks). When canceling they also told me I would be receiving a refund. I then tried to call to speak to someone about the charges and they kept telling me I needed to speak with a manager and would then proceed to hang up on me. I was going to get ADT for my new house, but certainly NOT after this! Terrible business practice.

Kevin Greening & Gary Gold Were my Installers for my Camera System and they were awesome!!! They were very professional & helpful. Answered all my questions and showed me everything I needed to know! They did a beautiful job in a very difficult small business setting. I absolutely loved them and very happy I got them to install my cameras. They even cleaned up after there mess. Such great guys! I already love ADT I heard so much about them from friends and other businesses that they are the only best! You get what you paid for, if you want quality then go with ADT!
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! Salesperson comes knocking on my door...sells me a system that I just found out isnt even available in my neighborhood!!!! Incorrect System was installed and we were advised we had the most updated system. Months later my alarm goes off and only then I realize the system does not have the option I was told it would have. I call the customer service line to ask for assistance to see if they can fix the issue and was told to cancel and pay the fee. I wanted to talk to the supervisor of the salesperson that sold me something that wasnt available and was told that they cant do that!!!! Horrible company!!!! If anyone is in the Farmingdale area and that recently installed within the last year please reach out as I will be consulting with my attorney!!!!
Scheduled a service check since my system was down. The Greg B (28137) comes to see the system. Quickly figured out the circuit is out which i then resets. Then he tells me he has to switch the 3g system to a new device. I was concerned the would make unnecessary holes so i told him to hold off but the then tells me he already turned off the service. I asked him to turn it back on because i can not have a offline service. He proceeds and then cuts the dedicated data fiber and makes a huge hole in the wall. The back and forth continued and he leaves saying he felt uncomfortable with my tone. Greg does not get it that he has opened a huge hole, cut the data/phone wire, cut my service and I as a customer has the right to ask any question. Well now this has been escalated to the branch manager with a 72 hour sla. My home has been damaged and no adt service to protect my family. Expecting a call from John/Sean Foley, crossing fingers.
John French has been fantastic. Knows the house and barn well. Fine tuned everything whenever he has serviced my house or my 2nd account with another building.
Their technology is completely obsolete. When my alarm went off they did not check on it and did not contact me. When I contacted them and cancelled my service they refused to stop billing, calling and harassing me. They admit that they have no contract for me on file but still harass me. Dishonest and incompetent.

I am 11 years with ADT. Their customer service is great. Got service next day. Solid company and will be around for a long time. Their loyalty department was very accommodating.
Do not use ADT, find a local security company that still utilizes a good central monitoring office. I won’t bore the general public with the long long list of wrongdoings, but want to make sure I tell anyone looking at reviews to consider all other options.
Our ADT installation experience was excellent. As first time home buyers and first time security system customers, we didn’t know much about the product or best practices and our technician Kevin Greening went above and beyond to answer our questions and did a fantastic job with installations. Definitely would recommend to others.
This sleazy operation refuses to accept the fact that you cancelled your service in writing years ago. They have been aggressively harassing me for years. They have no contract with me and yet they still bill me completely random amounts for services not rendered. Stay away. This operation is the worst

I have been a customer for several years now and the service has greatly improved here. Whenever I have a problem with my system ADT is quickly there to fix the issue. The are very quick to respond specially once you speak to someone from the local office.
When I first had the security system installed five years ago, the monthly monitoring charge was about $35. Over the years ADT had managed to gradually increase it to almost $50. Each time it would just send a postcard and stated that due to higher cost of operating THEIR business, they would need to compensate themselves by charging a few dollars extra. They act as though they do not need the prior approval of their customers. If I called to complain, they would hold off the increase for a few months and then quietly raise the price again. $15 extra a month adds up to $180 per year. Finally I couldnt tolerate it anymore and called on 5/16 to cancel the monitoring service. On 5/1 the full months (5/1-5/31) monitoring charge was billed to my credit card. Even at the end ADT still wanted to hit me with another half months (6/1-6/15) monitoring charge because they have a one month cancellation policy. Customers have to keep paying for an extra month even though the service was disconnected right away.
If you want a security system where they actually monitor your house and do so in a competent fashion, this is the wrong company. I have nothing but bad things to say about them.

Absolutely horrible experience with ADT. I wanted to upgrade my system and they want to charge me over $360 for installation, even though Ive been a loyal customer for 2 years. After hearing about the updated and thorough security system my cousin had installed by Vivint this past weekend, I inquired with both ADT AND Vivint about updating ours. After speaking with Vivint, it was brought to my attention that they are offering so much more for FREE, including a much better and upgraded panel, 2 smoke detectors, cameras, etc.I explained this to the ADT rep to see if there were any other options to upgrade our system to the equivalent of Vivints offer without paying such a large installation fee (Ive been a loyal customer and havent had any issues with ADT so far so I did not want to leave the company unless I had to). I was told there is nothing they can do to accommodate me. When I told them I would have to leave ADT then, they stated okay... You will now have a $590 cancelation fee.Im a little annoyed and upset that they didnt even try to work with me at all. We had no issues with the company before realizing that we are paying for a system that is not FULLY protecting us and not as updated as some competitors. Other companies have much more to offer, with free installation and comparable, if not cheaper, pricing. I honestly will not be recommending ADT to ANY friends or family.

The system I was told I was getting. However, clearly I was misinformed and mislead by the sales representative. I have a 20K security system that is not functional since installation about 7 months ago. Customer service and the sales rep have been uncooperative the moment they received payment. Disgusting ADT!
First of all, they can not make my security system function. I cancelled in writing a year and a half ago and they are still harassing me. This is one shady operation.

Big mistake never should have got it ADT. Having issues from last 4 days someone was supposed to be here but not yet now I can’t log in my account who ever called (Mr Rude guy)didn’t understand I can’t log in from my phone and screen is blank how am I supposed to put alarm off, don’t get ADT
They will lie to you just to get a sale, dont believe what they tell you over the phone your getting something completely different.
