Amazing place. I went there with three others and we all had such a great time. The arcade is awesome, and I dont think Ive ever seen cabinets in such great condition before. I asked the staff at the front desk about the place and he was very nice and told me about all of the machines they had there. I played the hell out of Tekken 3 and Street Fighter 3, and plan to go to this place sometime again in the near future. If the man at the front desk is reading this, thanks for the amazing time. Easily one of the best 2 hours of my life.
Nerd Alert has a solid room and a half of arcade games. The best part is that you just have to pay a $10 cover and from there you can free play all the games without having to worry about coins/tokens. They have a separate running scoreboard for all the games in case the cabinet scores reset. The front of the store is a cool little shop with a bunch of retro horror and pop gifts, shirts, books, and even old school horror VHS tapes. Definitely recommended.
Nerd Alert is a hidden gem that you need to devote some time to if you like the retro arcade classics like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Burger Time, Crystal Castles, etc! For just $10 you can play as many games as you want, kids get a special deal on Sundays, and one weekend a month is BYOB, so needless to say, bring some buds and laugh at how bad you are at these cabinets!
Very cool. You will swear its 1983 in there. My 10 year old loved it. Dig Dug. Centipede. Various Street Fighters. 80s music.classic arcade experience.
Took my kids there and they got a taste of 80s time warp. A throw back in time. Brilliant concept.
Throwback stand up video games and cool retro novelty stuff. Took my 2 teens and they loved it. Small building, big fun.
This place is a fantastic way to kill some time and have a ton of fun. Lots of arcade cabinets and Nintendo to play. Good luck getting up on the board!
It was a lot of fun, not something youd do over and over but if you miss the old arcades of the 90s you should definitely go at least once.
This was a blast. They had lots of great arcade games that I hadnt seen in years. I look forward to going back!
Cool little place. $10 to play as many old school games as you want.
As a fellow nerd myself, I cannot help, but be excited that such a place exists in Midtown Memphis. Not only does the place have a lot of interesting knickknacks from heat sensitive fortune tellers to pickle flavored soda, it also has an arcade where you can pay $10 to play whatever games you want. While I would like to see a tabletop game room, an old communications room for folks to take ham radio classes in, a writing room for people to check out books and utilize typewriters, a music/art room, and a lounge for people to host parties and relax after a long day of work/school (preferably one complete with a samovar and/or an old time coffee machine), overall, it was worth coming to visit.Whether you’re a gamer nerd and/or a historic nerd, Nerd Alert offers a little something for everyone in the Midsouth.Great job on opening your doors during a very difficult time period for independent businesses to even start, by the way! :D
Nice new spot in memphis great for kids and horry fanatics. The arcade games are classics and staff is very nice
Wonderful and cozy arcade and gift shop tucked away right next door☺️🥰🕹️👾🎮🎰🛍️
This feels like an old 80s arcade with a horror/goth gift shop. I would like even more games, but thats faint criticism. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
This place is awesome! Everyone that works there is so very kind and I love the game room in the back!!
What a unique place...a little retro...but GREAT.
Go Support Nerd Alert if you long for the days when you went to video arcade in the mall. Cool games and other items for sale.
I love this place very friendly atmosphere treat you more like family than a customer very interesting stuff a little bit for everyone
Fun place to take the kids!
Best arcade Ive ever been too. They also have Roddy Piper soda.

Old school arcade AWESOMENESS 👌👌👌
Great place with amazing things to find inside, the arcade is awesome!
I love Nerd Alert!
Small and had potential but fell short. Didn’t check out the arcade. I expected there to be some video games for sale and weird niche stuff like skulls and other oddities.
Wonderful shop of eclectic tastes with horror, comics, a few antiques, and many other novelty items. I will be checking them out as often as possible to see what strange items might appear. I also enjoy the stores music selections that stay in the punk and hardcore vein. Very good stuff.
Great place,lots of fun!
Amazing place! You never know what you can find. Picked up some old school candy cigarettes, and other fun stuff! They have gummy rats and an awesome old school arcade.
I first met Melissa at 3 French Hens Market, what a delightful woman. My husband and I love the Market, we always make Melissas spot our must stop in priority. Her items are unique, fun and nicely priced; she is a must to visit. But wait it gets even better, she and her husband have opened a store in town named Clutter, you have to go, fun awaits.
If you come to Morris or live there, you need to stop in at Clutter! It is the coolest shop. They have such unique items that you wont find anywhere else. I love the waving cats when you walk in the door and they even have an arcade!
What a unique little shop! The arcade was a blast, cant wait to go back. Love the garbage pail kids items too!
Always something intriguing! Fun place for my entire family. Our Clutter collection includes an Italian holy water font, a leather hide, Star Wars figures, antique glass tiles, and more! Where else are you going to find all of this in one place? Super cheap play for vintage arcade games is just icing on the cake.
Dude... just.... Dude. An incredible journey through the fabric of time, space, and kitsch awaits you as you cross the into threshold of 115 W Washington in Morris.I’ve lived in this town for about a decade, and this is the first antique shop that exudes coolness and geekiness, and let’s you return from your historical romp without feeling sapped of your youth (many shops you leave feeling like you drank from the wrong cup in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”).You get cool stuff that you’d love to keep for yourself. Then the stuff you want to give to an uncle at Christmas just to see his face. Then the stuff that your wife/girlfriend (or vice versa, ladies) just don’t understand. Then comics, and then the stuff you know you will use... someday. Either way, you are leaving with a little bit of treasure.Last but not least, an all you can eat/play buffet of 80s and 90s arcade awesomeness awaits you and your brood.“Clutter” has been here for a couple of years now and I can’t imagine it is going anywhere. Thank you for invigorating the downtown with some life and history that isn’t yet in the books. For anybody who hasn’t been, you must.
Love this place!!!! A must visit. Great all you can play $4 video arcade games!
So much neat stuff! Great owner, reasonably priced items. Happy to have this business near me.
The coolest store in downtown Morris! Something for everyone. A very fun experience.
Very very nice
Nostalgic games in the back room. Enjoyed playing games with friends.
Coolest store in town with the coolest staff.
Awesome store! Hidden gem in downtown Morris. Stumbled upon it during while walking with my brother. Like an entire flea market in one small store, but theres only cool stuff. Practically anything in the store is for sale, if you like it youll probably find a price tag. Awesome arcade room in the back with retro arcade Staples like Pac-Man, street fighter and galaga. No need for tokens or a roll of quarters, $3 for all day access. Owners were super nice, I will definitely be back.
I Love this place. Everything about this store is great...include owners. Must visit...definitely worth it.
I enjoy shopping here and playing the arcade games. Definitely a great place to visit.
Great place to play old attached arcade games and comics. Friendly staff.
Very cluttered and difficult to move in store. A firefighters nightmare. Great music was playing overhead!
I love this place and the people that run it are really nice
Absolutely love this place! You need to check it out!
Excellent variety except if your a parent you wont be able to bring your kid in with a stroller because its..well..cluttered.
Something for everyone! Vintage, comics, taxidermy/oddities
Awesome place!! Must stop if in Morris...
Great Halloween decor!
