A typical basic candy shop. They have many interesting stuff. They sell mostly an wide variation of house made candies and fudge. I was craving for sugar, and so stopped by for a piece of pecan topped fudge. It was too sweet for me. For people coming from India, if you remember 5 stars it tastes exactly like that. Some people might like it, but honestly it was too sugary for me.
This candy shop is amazing, and run by an owner that has incredible energy. She even got me to eat some candy crickets. Something I never ever thought I would do. The experience was good and also the candy....
Absolutely love this place. The employees are so warm and welcoming. Always wanna come back. And you should too.
The owner of this place is amazing! She is so funny and makes the visit to the candy store a real experience. She also makes the BEST fudge. My dad and I took some back from our trip for my mom to try, and she could not believe how delicious it was. Our family has a very old peanut butter fudge recipe that we always thought was the best...until now. Surprisingly, my favorite fudge was actually the blue suede shoes fudge (pictured here—This blurry pic does not do the fudge justice, but it wouldnt let me post the video I took of the fudge sparkling.). I say surprisingly, because it tastes like banana laffy taffy–which doesnt sound like something Id enjoy, but it is absolutely amazing. My mom (who does not even like banana laffy taffy) agreed that it was her favorite of all the flavors we got! Hands down best fudge ever!
Great fudge and sweets. The woman there is a fudge expert and very funny and helpful. The prices are reasonable for a touristy location.
Home fudge made right in front of you delish. All sorts of candies I havent seen in years
I was working on Beale Street and finished lunch from Alfreds and needed a sweet fix for dessert. Went across the street to a cookie place that refused to accept cash. Told them not to worry about me darkening their doorway ever again.Googled a bit and found Beale Sweets. Bought some peanut butter and chocolate and rocky road fudge. Also sampled the candied pecans. Everything was outstanding. The fudge was creamy and delicious. The owner was super nice and helpful. Highly recommended. Good job guys.
Wow so totally awesome. Very diversified. Fudge is so creamy in my mouth. High praise from me
Amicable shop owner with a huge assortment of treats! Seems to be a family-owned business; the adult children were there helping their mom, and the store had an overall pleasant and happy atmosphere. (I manage social media for brands, and suggested the Sugar Shack to become active on Instagram – if you are on there, check out their page, tagged in my attached photo!)
Lady that runs this place is hilarious, very entertaining and passionate about her city. A must-visit, the fudge is fantastic and there is a good variety. Right now, Beale Street is suffering from the Covid restrictions, and this is one of those small businesses that adds value to the area, and needs your support to continue doing what theyre doing. I highly recommend checking this place out, and chat a bit with the lady that runs it (cant remember her name, Im so sorry!), a true gem in a historic part of Memphis.
I usually do not like fudge but this was the best that I have ever had. The lady that helped us had fun with the kids and everyone enjoyed themselves!
This was one of thw funnest experiences in Memphis! The owner was such a good time. I highly highly recommend!
The owner is so witty and funny! Her jokes made the experience so much sweeter! Gods gift fudge is a must have and ask about the adult socks!!
I loveeeee Beatrice!! She is so funny and entertaining and you can’t help but to love her. She has a great selection of candy and always ready to give out free pieces. She also makes fudge that smells soooo good! I recommend anyone that comes to Memphis to check her out. Also try the Jack Daniels chocolate bars they are literally the best!
Quaint southern hospitality....
Excellent place for a fireball shot
Tons of choices, fudge is to die for!! Would go back again!
Great place!! Just wish it was more to do.....😞
Good fudge.
We arrived on Beale Street late Sunday afternoon as everything was closing up. I had seen the website when looking at things on Beale and had spent 9 hours driving that day thinking about fudge. Beatrice (a/k/a Crazy Fudge Lady) welcomed us in despite it being closing time. She let us look around, gave us a sample of fudge, we made each other laugh, and then she recommended a place for us to have dinner. It was the favorite part of our Memphis visit. Oh, and the fudge was fantastic and not tourist over-priced. Thanks CFL!
Owner was super sweet and they had the best fudge ever!!
The fudge I got here was out of this world. Still eating on it a week later. Ha the candy store that I bought it from. My wife wanted to you know who I was sending this to So you see my response.
Love this little store
Who would ever guess a candy store on Beale St. Fabulous fudge too.
Best chocolates and fudge We have ever tried in our life!!!!
Sweet deals, something for every age.
Fantastic fudge, reasonably priced, and a super sweet owner. Stop in here and youre in for a treat!!
We went today with our 2 young boys and the owner was so amazing! The candy they sell is noticeably better than anything you’ll get elsewhere. 5 stars isn’t enough for this awesome place!
Nice place, has assorted candies and homemade fudge. Beatrice and Julia are great.
Cashier was amazing! Loved her jokes!!!
Great owner, very fun and helpful ! Will be going back
Love it all the old school candy
Sweetest, most hilarious little lady runs this place and makes all the fudge herself by hand. Free samples, and she even showed us a different way to eat specific flavors to get the full experience. Every flavor of fudge we tried was fantastic, the experience of talking to her and learning about fudge from her was amazing, its the kind of place you remember going to on that vacation years ago and want to go back. I could not have been more pleased with Beale Sweets.
Excellent and funny staff, with a clear passion for their profession. Would highly recommend to anyone walking the area to drop in, even if just for the conversation.

Old Fashioned Candies and Fudge
Must go place when in Memphis
Nice place love that they gave out samples of the fudge before you buy...what I didnt like was the wall of candy..you can make your own SMALL little goodie bag (kids party size) you can fill with a variety of candy which was $3 in some change per few ounces... I got to the register and this little bag was $16...I could have went to Sams and bought 2 HUGE bags for that price..Just felt like a rip off. Nice people but im sure they have heard this plenty of time before. I will only go back for the fudge NOTHIN ELSE..
